Payette - Rudy Mendoza, age 38, longtime resident of Payette, Idaho, and formerly of Hermiston, Ore., passed away Monday, June 22, 2009, while on vacation with his family. A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2009, at Kiwanis Park Band Shell, Payette.
Rudy was born Oct. 15, 1970, to Antonia Cortez-Mendoza and Salvador Mendoza. He attended school in Hermiston, Ore.
Rudy was the proud owner and operator of Rudy’s Concrete and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and friends. He was a generous person who was happiest when sharing his hospitality and food with others. Rudy was a devoted husband and proud father.
He is survived by his wife, Tammie Nahree Cox; his four children, Derick, Stephanie, Rudy and Zachary; his brother, Micheal; his five sisters, Jovita, Franci, Lupe, Domi and Maria; and many nieces and nephews.

Nampa - David Lee Apodaca, 28, Nampa, left this earth to be with his Lord Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, in Boise after a lengthy illness. David was born Oct. 14, 1981, in Nampa to Nick and Angie Suarez Apodaca. He lived his life in Ontario, Nyssa, Moses Lake, Wash., and Nampa. He attended schools in Ontario and Nyssa. David loved to cook and experiment with the culinary arts. He was an avid reader and loved music. David will be remembered for his sense of humor, always able to make anyone laugh, and he had a knack for finding the humorous side to life, up until the very end. He is survived by his mother and father, Nick and Angie Apodaca, Nampa; brother, Rick (Terri Sanchez), Round Rock, Texas; sister, Stephenie Apodaca, Nampa; his “little homie” and nephew, Michael Barnes; nieces, Vanessa Sanchez, Breana “Berna Lou” Marshall, Annelisa “Squink” Romo-Apodaco; and nephew, Ryder Sanchez. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Parma Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1 McConnell St., Parma.
