Margarette “Maggie” Neitzel, 82
Margarette “Maggie” Neitzel, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 29, 2009 at her home, surrounded by her family.
Maggie was born June 16, 1926 to Jack Nichols and Felicia Jones Nichols in Price, Utah.
Maggie married Roy Hansen and had three children, they later divorced.
On October 22, 1956, Maggie married Charlie Neitzel in Elko, Nevada, together they had three children, and Maggie welcomed the addition of five stepchildren to her family.
Maggie spent may years as a waitress.
In her free time, she would crochet and knit.
Her greatest love was being a wife, mother and grandmother.
Maggie is survived by her husband, Charlie, of Idaho Falls, Idaho; sons, Rick (Jeannie) Hansen, of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Ken (Lisa) Neitzel, of North Platte, Nebraska; daughters, Vicki (Gary) Scott, of Orange, Texas, Chuckie Neitzel, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Janet Neitzel, of Idaho Falls; stepchildren, Linda (Ron) Lindsey, of McKinney, Texas, Frankie (Baron) Truesdell, of McKinney, Texas, Richard (Jennie) Hozaphel, of Provo, Utah, Chris (Holly) Taylor, of Monuement, Colorado, and Brent Taylor, of Blackfoot, Idaho; sister, Lorraine Anthony, of Blackfoot, Idaho; brothers, Richard Nichols, of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Harry Nichols, of Meridian, Idaho; 39 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Maggie is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Cheryl Kay; brothers, Nick and Tom; and two grandchildren, Jason and Rickie Paul.
Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 2, 2009 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue, Blackfoot, Idaho.
The family will meet with friends and relatives for one hour prior to services.
The family would like to acknowledge a special thank you to Dr. Eric Baird, Dr. Scott Taylor, Sandy, Karen, and Elizabeth with Hospice of Eastern Idaho for the wonderful care provided to Maggie.

Delbert “Red” Charles Parris, 60
Delbert “Red” Charles Parris, 60, of Reubens, Idaho and formerly of Blackfoot, passed away on January 7, 2009 at his home from an apparent heart attack.
Red was born on February 9, 1948 in Malad, Idaho to Verl P. Parris and Marie Myers Parris.
Red was in the Navy, serving his country from 1965 to 1969.
He was located in many different cities over that period of time.
In September of 1974 Red married Cindy in Elko, Nevada.
Red worked as a roofer and installing siding.
In his free time, he loved to hunt and fish.
Red is survived by his wife, Cindy; his sons; David Miller, of Blackfoot, Pete (Julie) Miller, of Kansas, Michael (Stephanie) Parris of Idaho Falls, Idaho, J.V. (Amber) Parris, of Blackfoot, Sam (Shayln) Parris of Lewiston, Idaho; mother, Marie Parris, of Blackfoot; sister, Patricia Grimmett, of American Falls, Mick (Ruth) Parris, of Pingree, Dan (Joann) Parris of Phoenix, Arizona, Jake (Monita) Parris of Blackfoot, Idaho, and Lu Ann (Don) Huffman, of Boardman, Oregon, and eleven grandchildren.
Red is preceded in death by his father, Verl; and brothers Ben and Roland.
Memorial services will be on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue, Blackfoot.
Family will meet with friends and relatives for one hour prior to services.

Jean Randall, 79
Jean Randall, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, returned to her Heavenly Father on January 27, 2009 after a courageous battle with leukemia.
Jean was born on September 21, 1929, during the depression, in Mackay, Idaho, to Lawrence W. Bowden and Anna Boyack Bowden, the oldest daughter.
Jean attended school in Moore, Idaho, where she played on the schools basketball team.
On November 23, 1948, Jean married Keith Randall.
Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
They just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Jean worked for the Blackfoot School District for 25 years, retiring in 1989.
She loved to garden, camp and tour the country side on her motorcycle.
Jean is survived by her loving husband, Keith Randall; four children, Argene (Bruce) Scott, of Boise, Idaho, Dennis Randall, of Ogden, Utah, Betty Jo Haws, of Blackfoot, Idaho, and Douglas (Kerri) Randall, of Vernal, Utah; 16 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; two sisters, Nona (Tony) Farmer, of Arco, Idaho and Beverly Miller, of Idaho Falls, Idaho; a brother, Gayle (Gwen) Bowden, of Middleton, Idaho.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Jay Bowden and Clair Bowden, and sister Bonnie Worneck; and two step brothers, Elmo Bowden and Stanley Bowden.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2009 at the Blackfoot 2nd Ward, 660 Teton, with a viewing Friday, January 30, 2009 at Hawker Funeral Home from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and for one hour prior to services at the church.
Interment will follow at the Groveland Cemetery.

Jeanette (Jeannie) Rose Rodman, 62
Jeanette (Jeannie) Rose Rodman, 62, of Mackay, Idaho passed away, Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at her home.
She was born February 20, 1946 in Plymouth, New Hampshire to Oscar Sanborn and Ida Sanborn Washburn.
Jeannie married Craig Rodman on September 12, 1987.
They made their home in Mackay.
She was a good homemaker and also loved to read and crochet.
She is survived by her husband, Craig Rodman of Mackay, Idaho; two daughters, Teresa Cote of New Hampshire and Nancy Rodman of Tennessee; her mother, Ida Washburn; two sisters, Judy Cottrell of New Hampshire and Louise Sanborn of Tennessee and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Oscar Sanborn.
Cremation services are under the direction of Hawker Lost River Funeral Home in Arco.
The family is not planning any services at this time but may have a memorial service at a later date.

Gwen Lynn Shupe, Stillborn Infant
Gwen Lynn Shupe, was silently born on January 3, 2009 at the Portneuf West Campus in Pocatello.
She is survived by her parents, Jeff and Camille Shupe and three sisters, Whitney (11), Madison (8) and Ellie (1) all of Moreland; maternal grandparents Chuck and Beverly Bastian of Moreland; and paternal grandparents, Paul and Debbie Shupe of Grace, Idaho.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at the Moreland Cemetery.
The family will greet friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling in Blackfoot.

Georgia Jean Wieland, 78
Georgia Jean Wieland, 78, of Blackfoot, Idaho, passed away Friday, January 29, 2010 at Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Georgia was born October 21, 1931 in Blackfoot, Idaho to Matilda “Mattie” Crump.
She spent her lifetime in Blackfoot.
In 1950, Georgia married Elmer “Slug” Wieland.
Together they had three children, Mike, Ronald and Valerie.
They were later divorced.
Georgia worked many years at Basic American Foods.
She also worked at Rockford Lumber and Pillsbury, but recently worked as a greeter at Walmart.
In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, painting and her grandchildren.
Georgia was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Georgia is survived by her son, Ronald (“Jackie”) Wieland; and her daughter Valerie (Lonny) Taylor; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
Georgia is preceded in death by a son, Mike; her parents; sister, Mary Lou Wilde; and a grandson, Ronnie Wieland.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at Hawker Funeral Home.
Family will meet with friends and relatives for one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Elma Worthen, 86
Our beloved mother, grandmother and wife, Elma Worthen, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2009 peacefully with her family in Layton, Utah.
She was born September 16, 1922 in Wapello, Idaho to William Austin and Emma Laura Hill Ransom and was raised in a family of eight children living in Salt Lake City, Utah and various communities around Blackfoot, Idaho.
She graduated from Blackfoot High School.
On October 16, 1943 she married David Curtis Worthen in Riverton, Idaho.
Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on their wedding anniversary in 1958.
He preceded her in death on July 21, 1999. On July 7, 2000, she married Lorenzo Wilkinson.
Elma was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was devoted to her family and friends.
She lived over 60 years in Groveland and had many life-long friendships.
A creative and talented woman, she loved handcrafting gifts for family and friends – all family members and many friends have received quilts as gifts.
She is survived by one son, Curtis “Lee” Worthen (Pearl Burnett), of Stone, Idaho, three daughters, Elma “Jean” Nicholls, of Layton, Utah, Jodine (Glen) Pogge, of Mountain Green, Utah, Sharon Tateoka, of Murray, Utah; siblings, William Leon Ransom, Jr., of Atlanta, Georgia, Donna (Robert) Hawker, of Blackfoot, Idaho; 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and seven great-great grand children.
Preceded in death by her husband, David Curtis Worthen, son, Blaine, and siblings James Ransom, Wendell Ransom, Willa Roberts, Ema Vee Hathaway and Laurel Wilkinson.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at Hawker Funeral Home.
Friends and family may call from 1:00 to 1:45 prior to service.
Interment will be in the Groveland Cemetery.
