GALVA, Ill. -- Services for Francis O. "Frank" Sellers IV, of Peoria, formerly of Galva and Kewanee, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Rux Funeral Home, Galva. Burial will be in Galva Cemetery . Visitation is 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Sellers died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999, on Trolley Road, after a single-car accident two miles northeast of Galva. He worked the past two years as a computer-aided drafter at Caterpillar, Mossville. He was born Jan. 30, 1976, in Galesburg. Memorials may be made to Galva Athletic Boosters. COLUMBUS JCT., Iowa -- Services for Celia Podaril, of Columbus Junction, will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home, Columbus Junction. Burial will be in Columbus City Cemetery . Visitation is 3-8 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the family present 5-8 p.m. Mrs. Podaril died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999, at her home. She was a homemaker. Celia Peters was born March 14, 1930, in Columbus City. She married William Podaril in 1951 in Columbus Junction. A memorial fund has been established. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Barbara Dotson, and sons, Richard and Thomas, all of Columbus Junction; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Van Auken, Winfield; and a brother, Clifford Arthur, Sun City, Calif.

Kane, of Muscatine, formerly of Davenport, will be 10 a.m. Monday at Andalusia, Ill., Cemetery , with military services by the combined squads of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion. Visitation is 4-5 p.m. Sunday at Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home, Muscatine. Mr. Kane died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 1999, at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Hospital. He was born Jan. 6, 1916, in Rock Island County. Memorials may be made to the Clayton Kane Memorial Fund. Survivors include a sister, Hilda Coulter, Muscatine.

WAPELLO, Iowa -- Services for Ruby P. Stewart, of Dodge City, Kan., will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Edwards Cemetery , Oakville. No visitation will be held. Mrs. Stewart died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999, at Good Samaritan Center, Dodge City. Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, Wapello, is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Stewart had worked in a daycare. Ruby Bailey was born Nov. 1, 1904, in Oakville. She married Daniel Stewart in 1925 in Oakville. He died in 1956. Survivors include daughters, Penny Stewart, Dodge City, Lettle Condran, Wentzville, Mo., and Nadine Thomasson, Belle Plaine; a son, Harry M., Dodge City; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Muthel Doescher
CLINTON, Iowa -- Muthel "Tootie" Doescher, of 801 28th Ave. North, Clinton, died Friday, Nov. 26, 1999, at Eagle Point Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, Clinton. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Clinton. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery . Visitation is 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory, and 1 p.m. until time of service Monday at the church. Mrs. Foster was a seamstress at the former ABC Cleaners and Lockes Cleaners, both in Clinton. Muthel Foster was born May 20, 1914, in Cumberland, Wis. She married Ralph Kraft in 1935 in Northwood. He died in 1944. She married William Doescher Jr. in 1946 in Clinton. He died Feb. 15, 1999. Memorials may be made to the church. Survivors include a son, Robert Kraft, Clinton; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sisters, Ruth Horstman, Crystal, Minn., and Lois King, Santa Margarita, Calif.
Charles Creeley
CLINTON, Iowa -- Charles J. Creeley, of Clinton, died Friday, Nov. 26, 1999, at Mercy Medical Center, North Campus, Clinton. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Lemke Funeral Home Chapel, Clinton. Burial will be in National Cemetery , Rock Island Arsenal, with full military services. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Creeley was an iron worker and worked out of the Local Iron Workers Union, Cedar Rapids. He was born Jan. 26, 1927, in Cedar Rapids. He married Lillian Johnson in 1953 in St. Louis, Mo. During World War II, he served in the first armored division in Germany with armored intelligence for the Army. During the Korean War, he was a tank commander. Survivors include his wife; daughters, Linda Corbisier, Leanna Geffers, and Elizabeth Willis, all of Clinton, Kathryn Lewis, Knoxville, Ill., and Doralee Creeley, Olympia, Wash.; sons, Steven, Oshkosh, Wis., Christopher, Olympia, and Charles and Scott, both of Clinton; sisters, Dolly James, Prairie Du Rocher, Ill., and Peggy Marshall, St. Louis; 18 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

EAST MOLINE -- Services for Mildred L. Broders, of 4747 11th St., formerly of Princeton, Iowa, will be 4 p.m. Sunday at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Visitation is 2 p.m. until service time Sunday. Burial will be at a later date. Mr. Broders died Thursday, Nov. 26, 1999, at Forest Hill Health Care, East Moline. She was employed as a chef at John Deere Parts Department, East Moline Mildred Fox was born May 31, 1915, in Wyanet, Ill. She married Kenneth Griffin in 1936 in Princeton. He died in 1940. She married Frank Broders in 1972 in Davenport. Survivors include sons, Virgil Griffin, Port Byron, and Lloyd Davis, Cannon City, Colo.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sisters Joyce Davis, Denver, and Merle Wagner, Princeton.
Ronald Baney
GENESEO, Ill. -- Services for Ronald O. Baney, of Geneseo, will be 1 p.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery , East Moline. Visitation is 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, with a liturgy service recited at 4:30 p.m. Ron died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999, at Trinity Medical Center-West Campus, Rock Island, after an extended illness. Mr. Baney was employed as a service manager at International Harvester, East Moline, and later retired from Case, Princeton, Ill. He was born April 10, 1940, in Cuba City, Wis., to Armon and Mildred (Kersheck) Baney. He married Marjorie Cobert on Sept. 10, 1960, in East Moline. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing and was an avid NASCAR fan. A memorial fund has been established. Survivors include his wife; daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Mark Hallas, Mineral, and Vicky and Craig Goettsch, Bettendorf; a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Ronna Baney, Moline; eight grandchildren; his mother; Mildred Hallas, Geneseo; a sister, Betty (Mrs. Jim) Cox, East Moline; and a brother, Armon Jr., Peoria.
Edward Forsythe
MOLINE --Edward M. Forsythe, of Moline, died Sunday, Nov. 21, 1999, at his home. No service or visitation will be held. The body was cremated. Esterdahl Mortuary Ltd., Moline, was in charge of arrangements. He was born Feb. 7, 1932, in Rock Island. He retired in 1955 as a registered X-ray technician. Visitation is 3-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with a rosary by Sacred Heart Altar and Rosary Society at 3 p.m. and a Christian wake service at 6:30 p.m. Mrs. Castrey died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999, at Trinity Medical Center-West Campus, Rock Island. Margaret Rogiers was born Jan. 24, 1906, in Moline. She married Alfred Castrey in 1926 in Moline. He died in 1989. Memorials may be made to Seton Endowment Fund or Friendship Manor, Rock Island. Survivors include sons, Robert, Huntington Beach, Calif., James, Bettendorf, and William, Ensenada, Mexico; 10 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

OAKVILLE, Iowa -- Catherine E. Wykert, of Oakville, died Friday, Nov. 26, 1999, at Burlington Medical Center. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Oakville United Methodist Church. Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Riverview Cemetery , Streator, Ill. Visitation is 3-6 p.m. Sunday at Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, Wapello. Mrs. Wykert was a farmwife and homemaker. Catherine Woolford was born Oct. 14, 1913, in Streator. She married Vergil Freese in 1932. He preceded her in death. She married Ernest Wykert in 1964, He preceded her in death. Survivors include daughters, Betty Pilcher and Janet Williams, both of Oakville, and Judy Wilson, Burlington; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Alberta Brennan, Bloomington, Ill.
Sister Mary Redempta Klebba
DAVENPORT -- Services for Sister Mary Redempta Klebba, of Davenport, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Humility of Mary Center Chapel, Davenport. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery , Davenport. Visitation is after 4 p.m. Monday at the Humility of Mary Center, with a wake at 7 p.m. Sister Klebba died Sunday, Nov. 21, 1999, at Kahl Home for the Aged, Davenport. Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport, is in charge of arrangements. Sister was an elementary education teacher at St. Mary School, Marshalltown, Iowa; St. Anthony School, Des Moines; All Saints, Stuart, Iowa; St. Alphonsus School, Davenport; and St. Joseph School, Des Moines. Sister also taught high school at Melrose, Iowa, Public; Dowling High School, Des Moines; and Walsh High School, Ottumwa, Iowa. Mary Marcella Klebba was born Nov. 7, 1907, in Grand Island, Neb. She entered the Congregation of the Humility of Mary in 1924 and made her final profession of vows in 1930. Memorials may be made to the Congregation of the Humility of Mary Retirement Fund. Survivors include a sister-in-law Anne Klebba, Sheridan, Wyo.; four nephews; and three nieces.

Robert McCall
SILVIS, Ill. -- Robert D. McCall, of 1700 Hospital Road, died Friday, Nov. 26, 1999, at Trinity Medical Center-West Campus, Rock Island Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Burial will be in National Cemetery , Rock Island Arsenal, with military services by American Legion Post 227, East Moline. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary. Mr. McCall retired in 1981 from the steel shed after 36 years at International Harvester, East Moline. He was born Dec. 11, 1924, in Palestine. He married Anna Johnston in 1945. He married Geraldine Mills in 1966. She died in 1988. During the Korean War, he served in the Army. He received the Purple Heart Silver Star. Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Watson, Silvis; two grandsons; five great-grandsons; and a sister, Geraldine Shely, Silvis.
Robert Jacobsen
TIPTON, Iowa -- Services for Robert A. "Bob" Jacobsen, of Tipton, will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at United Church of Christ, Tipton. Burial will be in Tipton Masonic Cemetery . Visitation is 3-7 p.m. Sunday at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Mr. Jacobsen died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999, at University Hospitals, Iowa City, after an extended illness. He owned and operated Edler Implement, Tipton, since 1985. He was born March 7, 1945, in Council Bluffs. He married Linda Prior in 1967 in Council Bluffs. Memorials may be made to Tipton Ambulance and Cedar County Cattlemen. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Nicole Amberson, Olathe, Kan.; sons, Brandon, Tipton, and Dustin, Lenexa, Kan.; a grandson; his mother, Wanda Jacobsen, Walnut; and sisters, Sally Engels, Oak Park, Ill., and Judy Wurster, Lenox.
Harry Bloominger
DAVENPORT -- Harry F. Bloominger, of Davenport, lost his battle with cancer Nov. 25, 1999. He died at Genesis Medical Center-West Campus, Davenport. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Davenport. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery , Davenport. Visitation is 3-7 p.m. Sunday at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport, with a prayer service at 6 p.m. Mr. Bloominger retired in 1979 from Crescent Laundry and Cleaners. Before that, he was employed at International Harvester and at Rock Island Arsenal during World War II. Harry Franklin Bloominger was born July 17, 1914, in Minneapolis, to Floyd E. and Katherine (Vaelo) Bloominger. He married Priscilla Beenk on June 25, 1938, in Davenport. Harry was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church for the past 55 years. He also belonged to Northwest Turners Society, NorthPark Mall Walkers, Quad-City Times Plus 60 Club and American Association of Retired Persons. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He truly cherished time spent with his family. Harry enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, an accomplished gardener and woodworker. He also followed the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Cubs. Memorials can be made to the church, American Heart Association or American Cancer Society. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Priscilla; a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Raelene Bloominger, Davenport; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Bloominger, of New Jersey; and grandchildren, Julie Corbett and husband Jim, Jeri Jennings and husband Adam, and Jeff Bloominger and wife Mary Jo, all of Davenport, and Robert Bloominger Jr. and wife Colleen, and Leslie Bloominger, all of New Jersey. He was preceded in death by his parents; his youngest son, Robert; and a sister, Blanche Dismer. May they rest in peace.

Burial will be in Evergreen Memory Gardens, Kewanee. Mrs. Workheiser owned and operated Workheiser's Dolls and Things, Kewanee. Mary Johnson was born Dec. 2, 1939, in Galva. She married Ron Workheiser in 1959 in Kewanee. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association or Diabetes Foundation. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Julie Tudor, Decatur; a son, Lee, Kewanee; a sister, Emily Roman, Atkinson; and brothers, David and Fran Johnson, both of Kewanee, and Carl Johnson, of Michigan.

Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Mrs. Wheeler died Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999, in East Moline. She was a homemaker. Carmalene Charlton was born March 21, 1912, in Mosier. She married Joseph Wheeler in 1936 in Cambridge. He died in 1998. Survivors include a sister-in-law, Lola Charlton, Davenport; a niece; and four nephews.
Jesse Danner
GENESEO, Ill. -- Jesse J. Danner, of Geneseo, died Sunday, Nov. 28, 1999, at Trinity Medical Center-West Campus, Rock Island. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. No visitation will be held. Trimble Funeral Home, Moline, is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Danner was employed several years as an operating engineer through Operating Engineers International Union Local 150, Rock Island. He retired in 1990. Before that, he worked at Canteen Corp. and Coopman Construction Co. He was born March 13, 1924, in Schuyler County. He married Dixie Miller in 1953. He married Maxine Daniels in 1973. Survivors include his mother, Lola Danner, Pittsfield; a sister, Janette Morehouse, Moline; and brothers, Ronald, Clarksville, Tenn., and Thomas, Grand Terrace, Calif.
