Bernice M. Sizemore, 78, of Kewanee, died Dec 6, 2003, at home.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic, Kewanee. Visitation is 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial is in Mount Olivet cemetery , Kewanee. Arrangements are by Schueneman-Tumbleson, Kewanee.
She was born Feb. 9, 1925, in Kewanee to Walter and Martha Rackouski. She married
Lewis Sizemore in 1950. He died in 1996.
Surviving are children, Lorie Elgin, Walt and Michael, all of Kewanee; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brother, Stanley Rackouski, Kewanee.
Christine Foulks
Services for Christine M. Foulks, 89, of Davenport, are 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic, Davenport. Burial is in Mount Calvary cemetery , Davenport. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries, Davenport, and 10 a.m. to service time Tuesday at the church.
She died Dec. 5, 2003, at Bettendorf Health Care Center.
Surviving are her children, Judy Downs, Blue Grass, Pat Curta, Bettendorf, Janette Edwards, DeWitt, and Orland Foulks, Fort Collins, Colo.; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two sisters.
Carol Havenhill
Visitation for Carol Lynn Havenhill, 42, of Princeton, Iowa, is 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at McGinnis-Chambers, Bettendorf, with an 8 p.m. prayer service. Graveside services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Herman (Neb.) cemetery .
She died Dec. 5, 2003, at home.
She was born Dec. 9, 1960, in Omaha, Neb., to Lloyd and Edith Schneider Hardy. She married
Mike Havenhill in 1998.
Surviving are her husband; children, Amber, Ashley, Shyanne, Justin and Timmy Havenhill and Tommy Griffith, all of Princeton; father, Nebraska; stepfather, Gene Geise, Nebraska; a sister; a brother; several foster children.
George Payne Sr.
Services for George A. Payne Sr. 79, of Bettendorf, are noon Wednesday at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries, Davenport. Burial with military rites is in National cemetery , Arsenal Island. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
He died Dec. 4, 2003, at Veterans Hospital, Iowa City.
He was born June 27, 1924, in Washington, Ind. He married
Joanne Mazzarollo April 28, 1950.
Surviving are his wife; children, David and Clayton, both of Davenport, Robert, George and Julie Payne, all Bettendorf, Kathleen Wilcox, Andalusia; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.

She was born May 18, 1913. She married
Elmer Wilming in 1965. He died in 1988.
Surviving are her children, Mary Payton, Wayne, both Davenport, Harold, Colorado, Diane Brekke, Florida, Jane Plantz and LaVonne Hughs, both Louisiana, Susie Boyce, Texas; 23 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
Nellie Bunch
Nellie Hazel Bunch, 90, of Ridgecrest Village, Davenport, formerly of Rock Island, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, at Ridgecrest.
Services and burial were held privately. Burial was in Memorial Park cemetery , Rock Island.
She was born June 17, 1913, in Panhandle, Texas, daughter of Elbert M. and Jessie Grey Harlow. She married
Charles M. Bunch Jan. 2, 1930, in Beaber, Okla. He died Aug. 30, 1972.
Nellie was employed as a technical writer at the Rock Island Arsenal for 30 years, retiring in 1985. She was a former member of First Baptist Church, Rock Island. Nellie enjoyed traveling and reading.
Survivors are her daughter, Patsy L. Feeley, Port Angeles, Wash.; sons, Charles R. Bunch, Reeds Spring, Mo., Richard D. Bunch and wife, Carol, Dixon, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, three brothers.
Suzanne Curry
Suzanne S. Curry, 74, of Rock Island, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
In accordance with her wishes, her body has been donated to science.

Donald G. Wakefield Sr., died Friday, Dec. 5, 2003, at Town and Country Health Care, Town and Country, Mo.
Services and burial will be 11 a.m. Friday at National cemetery , Arsenal Island. Schrader Funeral Home, Ballwin, Mo., is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a Humane Society of your choice.
Mr. Wakefield was the husband of the late Patricia A. Wakefield, dear father and father-in-law of Donald G. Jr. and Kathleen Wakefield, and brother of Anton Wakefield.
Wanda Blomgren
Services for Wanda J. Blomgren, 76, of Moline, will be 5 p.m. Sunday at Esterdahl Mortuary, 6601 38th Ave., Moline. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. prior to the service.
Private committal services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Cancer Society or the Alternatives for the Older Adult in Rock Island.
She died Dec. 3, 2003, at her home.
Wanda was born April 26, 1927, in Galesburg, daughter of Elmer and Helen Thoureen Talbot. She married
John D. Blomgren June 22, 1947, in Moline. He preceded her in death on Jan. 1, 1998.
Wanda was a graduate of Moline High School. She had worked as a telephone operator in Chicago and also was employed by Holst-Kakert in Moline, Weigandt's Market in Moline and Deere & Co.
She loved camping and fishing in Bagley, Wis., 'Da Bears, ' Neil Diamond, and going to local casinos and Las Vegas with her friends.
Survivors include her son, John, and his wife, Pam, Orion, and their children John, Port Orchard, Wash., and Jennifer, Moline; and a daughter, Karen VanDeCasteele, and her husband, Jeff, Eldridge, Iowa, and their children, Ryan and Sarah; a brother, Donald Talbot, and his wife, Sally. She was preceded in death by her husband; a sister, JoAnne Neighbors; and her parents.
Mary Alice Schaeffer
Funeral services for Mary Alice Schaeffer, 70, of Moline, are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline. Burial is in National cemetery , Arsenal Island.
Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Church or the American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Schaeffer died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, at her home.
Mary Alice O'Connell was born Sept. 16, 1933, in Joslin, Ill., daughter of Lester and Jennie VandeVelde O'Connell. She married
William J. Schaeffer Sept. 19, 1953, in Rapids City, Ill. He died April 26, 1987.
She had worked at the former Cabry License and Title Service, East Moline. Mrs. Schaeffer enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and going for walks with friends.
Survivors include her children and spouses, Janine Rockwell, Moline, Diane and Tim Crownover, Moline, William and Jennifer Schaeffer II, Antelope, Calif.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, John E. O'Connell, Moline; and a special friend, Paulene Pruiett, Moline.
Lilla Nelson
Lilla Agnes Nelson, 78, of Lexington, Tenn., died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2003, at home.
Memorial services are 11 a.m. Monday at Summerville Funeral Home, Salisbury, Mo. Cremation rites were accorded by Reeds Chapel, Lexington. Burial is in Prairie Hill, Mo., cemetery . Visitation is 10 to 11 a.m. today. Memorials may be made to Prairie Hill cemetery .
She was born May 3, 1925, in Prairie Hill to Lee McAdams and Mary Edna Powell. She married
Leroy Nelson May 10, 1942, in Kahoka, Mo. They moved from Salisbury to the Quad-Cities area in 1953.
They retired in May 1981 to Lexington. Involvement in the community previously included PTA, Girl Scouts and league bowling. She also enjoyed playing cards and games.
Survivors include her husband, Leroy Nelson, Lexington; son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Kathy Nelson, East Moline; four grandchildren, John, Kim and Jake Nelson, East Moline, and Senior Airman Yancy Nelson, stationed in Germany; a sister, Delma (Marvin) Henke; a brother, Bill (Jan) Ponder, Salisbury. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Harold Ponder; and sister, Thelma Kinnaird.
Her fiesty personality and deep love for her husband, family and friends will live on in all the memories she left behind.
Marilyn Gill
Marilyn Dawn Gill, 79, of Coal Valley, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, at her residence.

John Beachler
John W. Beachler, 84, of 213 N. Market St., Knoxville, Ill., died of natural causes Friday, Dec. 5, 2003, at Knox County Nursing Home, Knoxville.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday at National cemetery , Arsenal Island. The Rev. Kurt Carlsen will officiate. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 569/200/VFW 1303. There is no visitation. Hurd Hendricks Funeral Home, Knoxville, is handling arrangements. Memorials may be made to the family.
He was born Oct. 6, 1919, in New Windsor, son of Ralph J. and Clara W. Elofson Beachler. He graduated from Viola High School in 1937. He moved to Knoxville in 1976. He married
Lois Warder Simkins on Oct. 1, 1977, in Knoxville.
He served in the Navy during World War II from May 16, 1939, to Oct. 14, 1945. He was a chief pharmacist's mate. He worked for Texaco Oil Co. in Louisiana as a supervisor, retiring in 1976.
He was a member of Harry Philblad American Legion Post 749, Knoxville. He enjoyed gardening at his home and woodworking.
Survivors (and spouses) are his wife, Lois; son, Bob (Pam) Beachler, Gonzales, La.; stepsons, William 'Bill' (Karin) Simkins, North Henderson, Ill., Gary (Evelyn) Simkins, Alexis, Mike (Donna) Simkins, New Boston; stepdaughter, Janice (Charles) Hintze, Campbells Island, East Moline; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 14 stepgrandchildren; 29 stepgreat-grandchildren; sisters, Rachel Ross, Galesburg, Gloria Whit, Stanwood, Wash.; brother, Don (Phyllis) Beachler, Coal Valley. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Ethel Johnson
Ethel Johnson, 89, of Zephyrhills, Fla., formerly of Kewanee, died Dec. 4, 2003, at home.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's Evangelical UCC, Kewanee. Burial is in Evergreen Memory Gardens, Kewanee. Visitation 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Rux, Kewanee.
She was born Nov. 23, 1914, in Cambridge to Asa and Daisey Schumaker McNaught. She married
Frederick Johnson July 29, 1938. He died Sept. 28, 1984.
Survivors are her daughters, Deanna Fleming, Zephyrhills, and Sandra Gurtler, Downers Grove, Ill.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Dorothy Kautz
Dorothy J. Kautz, 79, of Kewanee, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Ill.
Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Francis Catholic, Kewanee, where she was a member. Private inurment will be at a later date. There will be no visitation. Memorials go to American Diabetes Association.
She was born Sept. 12, 1924, in Peoria to Walter and Pearl Miller Johnson. She married
Norris Kautz May 4, 1946, in Peoria.
She graduated from Peoria Woodruff High School in 1942. He was a member of Kewanee VFW Auxiliary, Kewanee American Legion Auxiliary and Galva American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband; daughter, Pam Kautz, Peoria; two grandchildren; and brother, Robert Johnson, Sherman, Ill.
