Mr. Ray Weaver, 79, of 125 Pine Crest Circle, Dallas, died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2006. Mr. Weaver was born in Haralson County, GA on August 25, 1926, a son of the late Elisha Weaver and Cora Hutcheson Weaver. He had been a resident of Dallas for the past 40 years.

Mr. Charles W. Young, 84, 117 Gordon St., Rockmart, died Tuesday, June 13, 2006 in a Rome Medical Center following several months of illness. He was born in Aragon, Ga. on May 11, 1922, a son of the late William Cliff Young and Willie Bell Jacobs Young.
Mrs. Tomlin
Mrs. Ruby Worthy Tomlin, 86, 119 Pearl St., Rockmart, died suddenly Monday, June 12, 2006 following several months of illness. Mrs. Tomlin was born in Haralson County, Ga. on June 30, 1919, a daughter of the late Henry Merell Worthy and Lula Beatrice Jacobs Worthy.
Mrs. Henderson
Mrs. Dorothy K. Henderson, 88, 14 Franklin St., Rome, died Wednesday, June 14, 2006 following several months of declining health. Mrs. Henderson was born in Chattooga County, Ga. on July 24, 1917, a daughter of the late William Newton Kimball and Fannie Wyatt Kimball.
Mr. Kirkpatrick
Mr. William T. "Bill" Kirkpatrick, Jr., 86, 102 Railroad Street, Rockmart, died Monday, June 12, 2006. Mr. Kirkpatrick was born Nov. 29, 1919 in Polk County, son of the late Hester Mandy Harris Kirkpatrick and the late William T. Kirkpatrick, Sr. He was a retired J.L. Lester's Wholesale employee
Mrs. Carter
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Carter, 93, 475 Knight Road, Cedartown, died Tuesday, June 6, 2006. Mrs. Carter was born in Richmond, Virginia on April 26, 1913, daughter of the late Mary Jane Combs Billings and the late Felix Billings. She was a homemaker and the eldest member of the New Etna Baptist Church.
Ms. Travis
Ms. Carol Jean Vines Travis, 63, 70 Benedict School Rd., Lot 1, Cedartown, died Monday, July 10. Ms. Travis was born May 26, 1943 in Polk County to the late Troy Frank Vines, Sr. and Cindy Spivey Vines. She was of the Baptist faith and had worked at Red Lobster and Shoney's.
Mr. Cole
Mr. Alfred Earl Cole, 79, 60 Pea Ridge Road, Rockmart, died Thursday, July 6, 2006. Mr. Cole was born January 8, 1927 in Paulding County, son of the late Decy Rainey Cole and the late William Reado Cole. He was a retired J.L. Lester Wholesale employee, a U. S. Army Veteran of WWII and of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Mitchell
Peggy Anne Mitchell, 51, Dalton died Sunday, June 25, 2006 at Atlanta Medical Center. Mrs. Mitchell was born February 14, 1955. She was the daughter of Jean Stone, Central City, KY and the late Fred Turnmire, Summerville. She was employed at Business Computer Applications, Dalton.

Mrs. Mildred Martin, 81, 414 Euharlee Street, Rock - mart, died Tuesday, July 4 in the local nursing home. Mrs. Martin was born in Polk County on Nov. 11, 1924, a daughter of the late Mark Morgan Head and Mattie Lois Dobbs Head. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Deems
Mrs. Ruby Ailene Deems, 85, 518 Hugh Deems Rd., Cedartown, died Saturday, July 1. Mrs. Deems was born in Bartow County, GA on Dec. 25, 1920, a daughter of the late James Homer Collum and Annie Mae Brewer Collum. She had been a resident of Polk County for the past 53 years.

Mrs. Wilhelmenia Williams Gann, 62, Hwy 27 South, Carrollton, died Wednesday, August 1, 2007. Mrs. Gann was born in Polk County, GA on March 7, 1945, the daughter of the late Aubrey Williams and Lizzie Mae Atkins Williams. She was a homemaker and a member of Young’s Grove Baptist Church.
Mr. Swan
Mr. James Edward Swan, 84, 611 Pearidge Road, Rockmart, died Saturday, July 28 in Wellstar Paulding Hospital of Dallas following a lengthy illness. A native of Polk County, he was born on May 7, 1923, a son of the late Wesley Swan and Rudie Gentry Swan. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Rev. Longshore
Rev. Thomas Marion Longshore, 72, 2480 Vinson Mountain Road, Rockmart, died Thursday, August 2, 2007. He was born April 3, 1935 in Dekalb County, AL, the son of the late Willie Tom Register Longshore and the late Clyde Longshore. Rev. Longshore was a U.S. Army Veteran and served overseas in Germany.

Mrs. Joyce Ann Garner, 69, of 16 Tower Circle, Rockmart, died Thursday, July 19, 2007 in Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Austell, Ga. She was born in Atlanta on September 20, 1937 a daughter of the late Carl H. Wilson and Thelma Jackson Wilson.

Margaret Louise Wisener Thomas of Elder Dr., Bremen, died Friday, July 20, 2007 in a local nursing home. She was born in Paulding County, June 13, 1936, daughter of the late William Allen Wisener and Dora Myrtis Hulsey Wisener. Her parents and a daughter, Karen Cohran, preceded her in death.
