FARMER - William H. Farmer, 63, of St. Marys died Saturday, April 8, 2006, at his residence.
A native of Alamance County, N.C., he had resided in Camden County for
the past 52 years, and was a retired painter. He attended Boulounge Holiness Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert H. Farmer, and sister, Catherine McCarthy.
Survivors include a son, Alan (Tracy) Farmer of St. Marys; mother, Lelia Farmer of St. Marys; sisters, Cora Lee Harvey of Kingsland, Nancy Horne of St. Marys and Bea Melton of Waycross; brother, Jimmy Farmer of Yulee; grandchildren, Brandon Farmer and Stephen Farmer; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 12 at Oak Grove Cemetery, with the Rev. Andrew Gillis officiating and with military honors.
Allison Memorial Chapel of St. Marys is in charge of arrangements.

FARMER - Beryl A. Farmer, 86, of St. Marys died Saturday, April 8, 2006, at the Life Care Center of Hilliard after an extended illness.
She had been a life - long resident of St. Marys and was a member of the St. Marys United Methodist Church, The Wesley Sunday School Class and The Susan Wesley Church Circle. She sold Avon for the past 45 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Farmer, and daughter, Betty Jo Farmer Parham.
She is survived by her daughter, Lynda (Jimmy) Coffel of St. Marys; grandchildren, Keith Coffel of St. Marys and Greg (Kim) Coffel of White Oak; and great - grandchild, Taylor Coffel.
The family received friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Monday, April 10 at Edo Miller Camden Chapel. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 11 at St. Marys United Methodist Church in St. Marys, with the Rev. John Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Edo Miller Camden Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

FORTUNY - Christie Fortuny, 43, of St. Marys died Tuesday, April 11, 2006, at her residence.
A native of Miami, she had resided in Camden County for the past five years and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her son, Brandon Ely Fortuny of St. Marys; daughter, Chasity Walsh of St. Marys; sister, Sheila Estes of Palatka, Fla.; brother, John Ely of Orlando; son - in - law, Michael Gosnell of Jacksonville; niece, KSea Roller; great - niece, Jadelyn Roller; and fiancee, Thomas Dunlap.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Allison Memorial Chapel of St. Marys is in charge of arrangements.

PATEL - Mangubhai Patel, 58, of Kingsland died Tuesday, April 11, 2006, at Southeast Georgia Regional Medical Center, Camden Campus.
A native of India, he had resided in Camden County for the past year, was a diamond cutter by trade and of the Hindu religion.
Survivors include his wife, Pushpa Patel of Kingsland; parents, Jivan and Dhani Patel of Lawtey, Fla.; daughter, Nita Patel of Manchester, England; son, Pinesh Patel of Kingsland; brothers, Raman Patel and Mohan Patel, both of Detroit, Mich., and Magan Patel of Lawtey; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 13 at Allison Memorial Chapel in St. Marys.

FREEMAN - Louise McCarthy Freeman, 95, of Durham, N.C., died Friday, April 21, 2006, in Knoxville, Tenn.
She was educator with the Durham City School System for more than 30 years.
She was born Sept. 16, 1910, in Camden County to Edgar A. McCarthy and Ila Lang McCarthy. She was educated at South Georgia College Academy in McRae; Georgia Woman’s College in Milledgeville; University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill; and Duke University.
She was a charter member of Alpha Delta Kappa, an honorary teachers’ sorority; a member of Current Book Club; and a member of NCAE. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Durham for more than 40 years and was a charter member of Rand Bible Class.
She was married to Robert Earle Freeman Sr. for 49 years, until he died in 1989.
In addition to her parents and husband, a brother, Lt. Col. E. A. McCarthy, precedes her in death.
Survivors include her sons, Larry (Kathy) Freeman of Knoxville and Robert Earle Freeman Jr. of Jekyll Island; grandchildren, Angela Freeman of Charleston, S.C., and David Freeman of Greensboro, N.C.; sisters, Beatrice Calhoun of Jekyll Island, Marguerite Meagher of Brunswick and Hazel White of White Oak; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 26 at First Baptist Church, Durham. Memorial donations should be sent to Adventa Hospice, 1420 Dutch Valley Road, Knoxville, TN 37918 or First Baptist Church, 414 Cleveland St., Durham, NC 27701.

WILSON - Patsy Elaine Horne Wilson, 64, of Waverly died Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick.
Wilson was born in Starke, Fla. She was a resident of Camden County since 1988. She was employed as a restaurant cook.
Survivors include her brothers, Mallory Horne and Jack Horne, both of Waverly, and Richard Horne of Sparr, Fla.; several nieces and nephews; and several great - nieces and great - nephews.
Brunswick Memorial Park & Funeral Home of Brunswick is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family at 578 Haynor Road, Waverly, GA 31565.

MAYFIELD - Wilmer Mayfield, 70, of St. Marys died Friday, April 21, 2006, at Hospice of the Golden Isles.
A native of Louisiana, he had lived in Camden County for the past 66 years and was a retired truck driver. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Homerville.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 24 at Allison Memorial Chapel in St. Marys. Burial followed at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation was held one hour prior to service time.

LYON - Helen Lyon, 86, of St. Marys died Monday, April 24, 2006, at her residence.
A native of Atlanta, she had resided in Camden County for the past 30 years. She was a graduate of Washington Seminary in Atlanta, a member of St. Phillips Cathedral in Atlanta, taught elementary school during World War II and was a homemaker.
She was a member of the original St. Marys Garden Club, member of the ladies golf team of the Golf and Country Club of St. Marys and a member of Christ Church Episcopal.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, retired Col. Clifford Lyon of St. Marys; and daughter, Joan (Tim) Wappes of St. Marys; and grandchildren, Lyon Davis and Cliff Davis.
Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 27 at Christ Church Episcopal Chapel, with the Rev. Mac Flowers officiating.

Georgia McDaniel Grier, 92
SWAINSBORO - Funeral for Georgia McDaniel Grier, 92, was held Friday, Jan. 13th, 2006 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Peebles - Curry Durden Mortuary with Rev. Dr. Robert Blankenship officiating. Burial was in Swainsboro City Cemetery. She died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2006 at the Emanuel Medical Center Nursing Home after an extended illness.
Mrs. Grier was a native of Laurens County, retired bookkeeper with the Citizens Bank of Swainsboro, a member of the First Baptist Church and the United Daughters of the Confederacy. She was preceded in death by husband, Thomas Francis Grier.
Survivors include two daughters, Jane Grier Durden of Swainsboro; and Jill Grier Briercheck of York, Pa; two sons, Lee McDaniel Grier of Jacksonville, Fla.; and Tommy Francis Grier, Jr. of Littleton, Colo.; two sisters, Winnie M. Harrison of Swainsboro; and Ruby M. Holland of Dublin; six grandchildren and two great - grandchildren
Pallbearers were Robert Fields, Dess Smith, Jim Dekle, Andy Worthington, Roger Peebles and Jim Daughtry.

William D. McNeely II, 54
WADLEY - Funeral for William D. McNeely II, 54, was held Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Quinney officiating. Burial was in Stevens cemetery on Coleman Lake Road. He died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2006 after an extended illness.
Mr. McNeely was born in Jefferson County to the late Calvin McNeely and Margaret Green - McNeelyPeacock. He served his country in the USMC and was discharged with honors. He spent several years as a commercial fisherman captain and later in retail management. He traveled extensively and retired three years ago in Savannah to be near family and friends.
Survivors include a brother, Calvin and Sandra (Smith) McNeely of Screven County; three sisters, Martha (Peacock) and Michael Lindsey of Millen; Brenda (Peacock) and Barry Cohen of Savannah; and Kathy (Peacock) and William Toler of Alliance, N.C.; two sons, William D. McNeely III and Shawn M. McNeely of Savannah; two daughters, Amanda McNeely of Savannah; and Carrie McNeely - Lee of Brantley County; one grandson, Trenton Lee of Brantley County; five nieces, five nephews, 15 great - nieces and four great - nephews, several aunts and uncles.

Trudie Bell Jones Harmon, 90
SWAINSBORO - Funeral for Trudie Bell Jones Harmon, 90, was held Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Alfred Cason officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. She died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2006.
Mrs. Harmon was the daughter of the late Tony and Beulah Jones. She was born on May 15, 1915 in Swainsboro. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jake Harmon.
Survivors include a niece, Eula Mae Madison of Swainsboro; an aunt, Mary Osgood of Midville; a cousin, Bobby Osgood of Swainsboro; and a sisterin law, Jeraldine Jones of Swainsboro.
Pallbearers were nephews and members of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Honorary pallbearers were nephews.
Mosley’s Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

Ray Neil Martin, 73
SWAINSBORO - Memorial service for Ray Neil Martin, 73, was held Thursday, Jan. 12, 2006 at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Collins - Burke Funeral Home in Jasper, Ala. Burial was in Good Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. He died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2006, at his residence in Swainsboro after a brief illness.
Mr. Martin was owner and operator of Furniture Doctor in Swainsboro and was a Baptist.
Survivors include a daughter, Terry Martin of Birmingham, Ala.; three sons, Richard Neil Martin of Lilburn; Robert Wesley Martin of San Francisco, Calif.; and Marty Ray Martin of Birmingham, Ala.; two sisters, Martha Ann Tracey Smith of Demopolis, Ala.; and Peggy Francis Havard of Lucdell, Miss.; six grandchildren and one great - grandchild

Mildred Brinson Kemp, 86
TWIN CITY - Funeral for Mildred Brinson Kemp, 86 was held Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Twin City First Baptist Church in Twin City with Rev. Franklin Sasser officiating. Burial was in Bishops Chapel Church cemetery near Summertown. She died Sunday, Jan. 15, 2006 at Emanuel Medical Center Nursing Home in Swainsboro, after an extended illness.
Mrs. Mildred Kemp was a native of Emanuel County, retired from Twin City Manufacturing Company, and was also a day care provider and member at Twin City First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Preston Kemp; her parents Herbert and Mattie Lou Bishop Brinson; and her sister Mary B. Sturgis.
Survivors include two daughters, Jo Ann Anderson of Savannah; and Helen Logue of Twin City; two sisters, Sara Fagler of Swainsboro; and Betty Sue Davis of Port Wentworth; two brothers, Lewis Brinson of Fitzgerald; and Irving Brinson of Twin City; three grandchildren and five great - grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Tommy Rountree, John Rountree, Pete Rountree, Lee Rountree, George Sturgis, Jody Womack, Frank Patrick, and Michael Wells. Honorary pallbearers are deacons and members of Twin City First Baptist Church.
