BRAZELL - Brenda Capps Brazell, 57, of Kingsland died on Monday, June 16, 2003 at her residence.
Brazell was a native of Chatham County. She had resided in Camden County for the past 37 years. She was a homemaker.
Brazell was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Kingsland.
Survivors include her husband, Charles E. Brazell of Kingsland; daughters, Cynthia Leigh Strickland, Bess Renee Norton and Deidra Suzanne O'Quinn, all of Kingsland; brothers, Richard Cribbs of Atlanta and Charles Sylvester Capps Jr. of Pembroke; sister, Marjorie Sue Rossler of Pembroke; and five grandchildren, Courtney Strickland, Chase Strickland, Hunter Strickland, Ryan Norton and Kendal Norton.
Brazell was preceded in death by a son, Charles Steven Brazell.
Visitation was held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18 at Allison Memorial Chapel in St. Marys.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 19 at Brazell Cemetery, with Rev. Vernon Dillingham officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, Ga. 31525.
Allison Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

BURNHAM - Kevin Clark Burnham, 37, of Chicago died on June 9, 2003.
He was born in Charleston, W.V. on Nov. 4, 1965.
Burnham graduated from Roycemore Academy and De Paul University in Chicago with a major in communications. He had lived in Chicago and worked in the video and sound industry.
According to family members, his greatest love in life was the love he had for his daughter, Jessica Burnham.
In addition to his daughter, he is survived by his mother, Roz Burnham of Carrolton, Texas, and his father, Kenneth Burnham, and his sister, Christine Burnham - Miller, both of Tampa, Fla.
Allison Memorial Chapel of St. Marys is in charge of funeral arrangements.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, at Oak Grove cemetery in St. Marys.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Jessica Burnham Trust c/o her mother, Miyuki Burnham, at 16001 LeClaire Ave., Apt. 3A, Oak Forest, Ill., 60452.

LIFE - Promes Lee Life, 61, of the Tarboro community in White Oak died on Saturday, June 14, 2003 at the Veteran's Hospital in Gainesville, Fla.
Life was born on Jan. 30, 1942 to the late Ellis Life and Lillian Scriven Life. He received his education in Brantley County public schools.
He later went into the U.S. Navy, where he served for four years. Upon his return from the Navy, he married the late Gracie Mae Small Life. He also served with the Coast Guard.
Life was employed with the Thikol Chemical Company. He was a member of the American Legion and National Rifle Association.
Survivors include a daughter, Sabrina (Marcus) Life Clarke of Raleigh, N.C.; one son, Promes (Suzette) Lee Life III of Hardeeville, S.C.; three sisters, Bertie Lue White, Helen Mitchell and Iona Small; one brother, Thadius Life; four grandchildren, Candace Life, Promes Lee Life IV, Marissa Clarke and Maurice Clarke; mother - in - law; father - in - law; sisters and brothers - in - law; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A wake was held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 19 at Browns Chapel AME Church in the Tarboro community.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 20 at Browns Chapel AME Church. Rev. Daniel Krupp officiated.
Active and honorary pallbearers were family and friends.
Myers Funeral Home of Woodbine was in charge of arrangements.

TAYLOR - Eric Todd (Ricky) Taylor, 45, of Kingsland died Friday, June 6, 2003, at his residence.
He was born on Nov. 15, 2957 in Kingsland to Helen and the late James E. Taylor. Having received his education from the Camden County public school system, he graduated from Camden County High School in 1976.
Taylor joined First African Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. E.L. Hart. After an absence from the church, he rededicated his life to Christ.
Survivors include his mother, Helen Taylor; former wife Patricia Maxie Taylor; sons, Keith, Todderick, Derrick, Eric Jr. and Tyrone; grandchildren, Keith Jr., Kristopher, Todderick Jr., TaJon and Toddriana; sisters, Adell (Linwood) James and Dannette (Matt) Stevenson; brothers, Kenneth (Denise) Taylor, Leonard (Sandra) Taylor, Cornelius (Robin) Taylor and Horatio Taylor Sr.; aunts, Nancy Griffin, Daisy (Bennie) Weston, Elvenia (Dan) William, Margaret Hubbard, Iris P. Waye and Nora (Mack) Lawrence; uncles, Vernal Lee (Ethel) Taylor and William (Catherine) Taylor and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral service was held Wednesday, June 11, 2003 at First African Missionary Baptist Church, with Rev. E.L. Hart officiating.
Pallbearers were Michael Maxie, Kenzel Taylor, Ronald Robinson, Linwood James Jr., Donald Glover and Alexander Roberts.
Interment was in Kinlaw Cemetery.
Sunset Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

BRYSON - Mary Helen Berrie Bryson, 79, of Brunswick died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003, at the Hospice of the Golden Isles.
She was a native of Camden County and had made her home in Brunswick for 25 years. Bryson attended Andrew College and was a former telegraph operator for Southern Railways. A member of Waverly Methodist Church, she was a homemaker and loved to cook.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, John Erwin Bryson Jr. and two daughters, Pamela Stern and Mary Adaline.
Survivors include five sons, John (V.P.) Bryson III of Washington township, N.J., David Bryson of Ocala, Fla., Robert (Ann) Bryson of Darien, Thom (Stacy) Bryson of Brunswick, and Dick Bryson of Brunswick; four daughters, Becky (Terry) McCullar of Jasper, Ala., Brenda (Rev. Buddy) Jones of Brunswick, Sharon (Glynn) Henderson of Hortense, and Peggy (Terry) Harrison of Hortense; a brother, Brian Berrie of Brunswick; 21 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Edo Miller & Sons Funeral Home in Brunswick is in charge of arrangements.
A visitation was held on Wednesday, Nov. 26 at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 28 at Bible Baptist Church, with Dr. Mike Landrum officiating. Burial will follow in Quarterman cemetery in Waverly.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Jones, Dayton Jones, Robbie Harrington, Jeffery Bryson, Thomas Bryson, Michael Bryson, Jonathan Wakefield and Darryl Armstrong.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Duane Moores and staff, Dr. Marsha Certain and staff, Dr. Bruce Carr and staff, Dr. R.A. Rittgers and staff, St. Mark's Towers staff and residents, Bayview Nursing Home staff and residents and the staff at Hospice of the Golden Isles.
Memorial donations may be directed to the Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Pkwy., Brunswick, Ga., 31525.

JOHNSTON - Johnny Johnston, 54, of Yulee, Fla., died on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004 at his residence.
Johnston was retired from the U.S. Navy, and was a veteran of Vietnam. He was also retired from Trident Refit Facility.
Survivors include his wife, Paula Johnston of Yulee; daughter, Duste Johnston of Columbia, S.C.; sons and daughters - in - law, Charles and Karla Johnston and John Eric and Rachel Johnston, all of White Oak; father, Edmond Larry Johnston of White Oak; sister, Judy Walker of Tabor City, N.C.; and grandchildren, Laurie Brook and Callie Savannah Johnston.
Myers Funeral Home of Tellico Plains, Tenn., will be in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14 at Altoona Missionary Baptist Church.
Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at Altoona Missionary Baptist Church, with Rev. Fred Gladstone and Rev. Mike Tate officiating. Interment will follow at Altoona Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northeast Florida Hospice and Action Disability Recourses.

McALLISTER - James Wilbur McAllister, 86, of St. Marys died on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004.
He was born on Oct. 25, 1917 in Brooks County to the late James and Alice Wilson McAllister.
He graduated from Barney High School in 1934. McAllister completed his undergraduate degree from Middle Georgia College and Georgia Southern. His graduate degrees were completed at Vanderbilt University and Florida State University and he received an honorary doctor of law degree from LaGrange College.
McAllister was a well known and respected educator in Georgia for more than 43 years. He served as state president of both of the state's teacher organizations, the Georgia Education Association and the Professional Association of Georgia Educators.
He was state president of the Georgia Association of School Superintendents, and a member of Phi Delta Kappa where he was presented the Distinguished Service Award in 1983.
He was a district director of the Georgia Association of Educational Leaders. McAllister taught at Echols County High School, Pavo High School and the Laboratory High School at Georgia Southern.
He was the principal of Tifton High School where he also served as the girls' basketball coach, was supervising principal of the schools in Bainbridge, superintendent of the Troup County schools and retired as superintendent of the LaGrange City School System.
McAllister was a member of the Rotary Club in Bainbridge and LaGrange, having served as president of the Bainbridge Rotary Club and was honored as a Paul Harris Fellow. He was a board member of the state YMCA.
McAllister was also a member of the First Baptist Church, serving as a deacon and Sunday School teacher.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Ola Balkcom McAllister.
Survivors include his daughter and son - in - law, K.K. and Vance McLaughlin of St. Marys; son, Jim McAllister of Athens; granddaughter and her husband, Ansley and Mark Anderson of Omaha, Nebr.; grandson, Brad Youmans of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.; step grandson, Jim McLaughlin of LaGrange; brother, Guy McAllister of Valdosta; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Feb. 4 in Quitman.

FELDER - Ernest J. Felder, 80, of Tuskegee, Ala., died on Monday, May 31, 2004 at Tallassee Community Hospital in Tallassee, Ala.
Felder was born on Dec. 23, 1923 in Camden County to the late Joe Willie and Anna Williams Felder. He confessed Christ at an early age and united with the Greater Trinity United Methodist Church where he was a member until his health failed.
Survivors include two sisters, Lillie Donaldson of St. Marys and Ann King of San Diego, Calif.; one brother, Clyde T. (Doretta) Windsor of Tuskegee, Ala.; cousin, Sonny Wilson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Myers Funeral Home of Woodbine was in charge of arrangements.
The deceased rested on Friday, June 4 inside Butler Memorial Chapel, located inside the funeral home.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 5 at the church, located at 900 Osborne St. in St. Marys, with Rev. Verdell Griffin officiating. Interment was in Oak Grove cemetery in St. Marys.
Honorary and active pallbearers were family and friends.

PIETRO - Charles A. Della Pietro, 82, of Hazlet, N.J., died on Saturday, June 5, 2004 at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune, N.J., with his family by his side.
Pietro was born in Matawan, N.J. He was a lifelong resident of Hazlet.
Pietro was employed as a tile foreman with Atco Tile Co. in Keyport, N.J.
He was preceded in death by his father, Antonio Della Pietro; mother, Josephine Della Pietro; and brother, Fred Della Pietro.
Survivors include his daughters, Doreen Chapman of Malta, N.Y., Dody Swaffar of Kingsland, Toni Burger of Newton, Pa., and Dina Marie Sansone of Brielle, N.J.; son, Anthony Della Pietro of Jackson, N.J.; sisters, Phelomena Bottiglieri of Keyport, Anna Pardue of Eatontown, N.J., and Rachel Allocco of Holmdel, N.J.; brothers, Anthony Della Pietro of Morganville, N.J., and Frank Della Pietro of Holmdel; 10 grandchildren, William Charles Chapman, Eric Scott Chapman, Jennifer Ann Hood, Victor Charles "Tug" Swaffar, Brian Michael Burger, Audrey Ann Burger, Melissa Ann Della Pietro, Tori Lynn Della Pietro, Ryan Charles Sansone and Jarrett Minard Sansone; one great - grandchild, Matthew Charles Hood; and many nieces and nephews.
Day Funeral Home of Keyport was in charge of arrangements.
Visitation was held from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8 at the funeral home. Funeral services were held at 7:30 p.m. also on Tuesday, with internment at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 10 at St. Joseph's cemetery in Keyport.
