BURCH - Mrs. Darlene E. Burch of Kingsland, Ga. died Monday, Sept. 30, 2002 at the Southeast Georgia Regional Medical Center in Brunswick.
Burch was born on July 31, 1966 to the late Henry and Anna Bell Singleton. She was a member of Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church in Kingsland.
She leaves to cherish her memories a loving and devoted husband Lewis Burch Sr; three children, Javonie, Chiquita Singleton and Terrell Burch, all of Kingsland; six step - children, Tony (Stacey) Burch of St. Marys, Dexter (Tawannah) Burch of Kingsland, LaTasha (Antonio) Mitchell and LaTonya Burch and Lewis Jr. (Gretta) Burch all of Jacksonville, Fla., Monica Buch of Titusville, Fla.; two sisters, Carolyn (Sam) Daniel, Deloris Singleton both of Kingsland, Ga. Two brothers; Spencer (Fontella) Singleton of Clyo, Ga. and Henry L. Singleton of Savannah, Ga., father - in - law Osby Jackson Sr. of Kingsland, Ga.; five sisters - in - law, Hattie Dawson and Mary Jackson both of Kingsland, Janice Johnson of Orange, NJ, Patricia (Lomar) Wiggins of Titusville, Fla., Jeanetta Akinson of Atlanta; 11 brothers - in - law, Osby Jackson Jr, James Jackson, Fredrick (Carrie) Jackson, Donald Jackson, Lee Jackson and Michael Jackson all of Kingsland, Earl (Valaria) Williams, James (Charlotte), Williams and Willie Williams all of Atlanta, Kenneth (Rosemary) Williams and Johnnie Williams both of Waverly.
A wake will be held Sunday, Oct. 6, inside the Butler Chapel located inside Myers Funeral Home, in Woodbine at 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 7. at Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church located at 1365 Kinlaw Rd, Kingsland. Interment will be in Kinlaw cemetery located in Kingsland. Officiating will be the Rev. Leon Washington.
Myers Funeral Home of Woodbine is in charge of arrangements.

MAITEN - Florence Maiten, 73, of Kingsland died on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla.
Maiten was born on Dec. 12, 1928 in Scotts, Miss., to Rev. Daniel Walter and Dora Lee Maiten.
She confessed hope in Christ at the age of 12 and joined Silver Mount Baptist Church where she sang in the church choir. It has been said that she was blessed by the Holy Spirit with a mighty voice and heart for the ministry.
Survivors include five children: Doristeen (Mack) Curry of Wichita, Kan., Earnestine Wright and Linda Lott, both of Detroit, Mich., Brenda (James) Hicks of Kingsland and Robert L. (Rose) Maiten of Greenwood, Miss.; and three sisters, Margie Pullum of Chicago, Ill., Dorothy Blackwell of Detroit and Barbara Williams of Greenville, Miss.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5 at Greater Pleasant Green Baptist Church, located at 215 S. Seventh St. in Greenville, Miss. Interment will be at Delta Memorial Garden in Greenville.
Active and honorary pallbearers will be family and friends.
Myers Funeral Home of Woodbine is in charge of arrangements.

BOOTH - Cynthia Britton Booth, 67, of Kingsland died on Friday, Dec. 6, 2002.
Booth was a native of Mt. Kisco, N.Y. She had been a resident of Camden County for the past two years. She was a homemaker.
Booth was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church and Laurel Island Links.
Survivors include a son, Charles Booth of Brewster, N.Y.; daughters, Jeannette McPhee of Woodbine and Mary Flanagan of Katonah, N.Y.; brother, Robert Britton of North Carolina; sisters, Catherine Trimmer of Lake Wells, Fla., Jeannette Flynn of Babson Park, Fla., and Roberta Hart of Pennsylvania; and 10 grandchildren.
Booth was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Booth, and son, Robert Britton Booth.
A memorial mass was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 9 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, with Father Gabriel Cummings and Father Mac Flowers officiating.
Interment will be held in Valahalla, N.Y.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Ronald McDonald House.

GOOLSBY - Gloria Hays Goolsby, 77, of Kingsland died on Friday, Dec. 6, 2002 at her residence.
Goolsby is a native of Bainbridge. She had attended Tift College and Mercer University. She was formerly employed by the University of Georgia Library and University System of Georgia for several years.
Her husband, the late Rev. James Hugh Goolsby Sr., served as pastor of Winterville First Baptist for 16 years, Mt. Olive Baptist in Commerce and Midway Baptist near Macon.
Survivors include a daughter, Carole Goolsby Nunn of Kingsland; sons, James Goolsby Jr. and Richard Goolsby, both of Augusta; sister, Jewell Hays Correll of Duluth; brother, Dr. J.S. Hays Jr. of Griffin; 16 grandchildren; five great - grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held on Sunday, Dec. 8 in Winterville with burial following at the Winterville Cemetery.
The family requests that memorials be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, Ga. 31525.

KEENE - Jessie Wright Keene, 92, of Woodbine died on Monday, Dec. 9, 2002 at Hospice of the Golden Isles.
Keene was born on Feb. 17, 1910 in Colesburg. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles M. Keene. It has been said that her life was centered around her church and her family.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Josephine and Ethridge O'Neal, Louis and Helen Keene and Willis and Jane Keene, all of Woodbine, Lowell and Linda Keene of Beaufort, S.C., and Yvonne and Dick Draper of Cartersville; 17 grandchildren; and 12 great - grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11 at the Woodbine United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, where she was a lifelong member.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12 at the Woodbine United Methodist Church, with Rev. Fred Shelnutt and Rev. Jack McCollough officiating. Interment will follow at Colesburg Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be the grandsons of the deceased. Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Woodbine United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 27, Woodbine, Ga. 31569, or Hospice of the Golden Isles, Inc., 1692 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, Ga. 31525.

TYRE - Franklin Eugene Tyre, 69, of St. Marys died on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002 at the War Veteran Memorial Hospital in Milledgeville.
Tyre was a native of Appling County. He had resided in Camden County for the past 30 years. He was a retired self - employed construction engineer.
Tyre was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was of the Baptist faith.
Tyre was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Dixon.
Survivors include a daughter and son - in - law, Debbie and Michael DiNello of St. Marys; sister, Carolyn Roberson of St. Marys; brothers, Carol Dixon of St. Marys and Revis Tyre of Jesup; and three grandchildren, Ashley DiNello, Corey DiNello and Abby DiNello.
Visitation was held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6 at Allison Memorial Chapel in St. Marys.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7 at Allison Memorial Chapel with Rev. George Anderson and Rev. Allison Deal officiating. Burial followed at 1 p.m. at Lake Chapel cemetery in Patterson.
Allison Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

KEETH — Grace Keeth, 80, of St. Marys died on Monday, Feb. 3, 2003 at her residence.
Keeth was a native of Miller County. She had resided in Camden County and was a homemaker.
Keeth was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Camden Senior Citizens Center in St. Marys.
Survivors include two sons, Gregg Whipple of Jacksonville, Fla., and Gerald Keeth of St. Marys; three daughters, Ginger (Tom) Boal of Ponte Vedra, Fla., Linda (Herbert) DuBois of Allentown, Pa.; and Marlene Hayden (Ronnie) Lee of St. Marys; three sisters, Hazel Cavanaugh of Monticello, Bonnie Kinsey of Tallahassee, Fla., and Sharmain Hammontree of Alachua, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; and nine great - grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, Feb. 6 in Tallahassee, with burial at Woodville cemetery in Woodville, Fla.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Camden Senior Citizens Center in St. Marys.

RIGDON — Billy Hugh Rigdon, 70, of Ellijay died on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2003 at the Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton.
Rigdon was born Nov. 14, 1932 to the late Arvin and Moly Mac Music Rigdon in Nichols.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Annie Horne Rigdon of Ellijay; a daughter and son - in - law, Faye and Jimmy Dryden of Jacksonville, Fla.; sons and daughters - in - law, Bill and Glenda Rigdon of St. Marys, Ricky and Gina Rigdon of Kingsland, Bo and Belinda Rigdon of Wartrace, Tenn., and David and Rebecca Rigdon of Montecello, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; three great - grandchildren; sisters, Bettye Jean Rigdon Howard of St. Marys, Audrey Dean Tanner of Alma and Mary Ann Corbitt of Hazelhurst; and a brother, Quincey Rigdon of Lawrenceville.
The family received friends starting at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 4 at Logan Funeral Home and Chapel in Ellijay.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at the Riverhill Baptist Church, with Rev. Billy Cantrell officiating.
Pallbearers were Jerrod Rigdon, Jasuah Rigdon, Rick Rigdon, Jimmy Tanner, Ronnie Rigdon Music and the song church choir.
Military graveside interment was held in the Riverhill Baptist Church cemetery with military honors given by the North Georgia Honor Guard.
Logan Funeral Home and Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

WILLIAMS — Theia Roshario Williams, 19, of Jacksonville, Fla., died at her home on Monday, Jan. 27, 2003.
Williams was born on June 24, 1983 in Jacksonville to Carol Williams and Roy L. Hamilton Jr. She was reared by her grandmother, Estelle Hamilton of Waycross.
She attended and graduated from Raines High School in Jacksonville, where she was a member of the Reserve Officer Training Corps Training School.
One aunt preceded Williams in death, Sherry Williams Parrish.
Survivors include a 2 - year - old son, Jason Jackson Jr.; parents, Carol Williams and Roy Lee Hamilton Jr.; one brother, Danny Williams of Jacksonville; grandparents, Estelle Hamilton of Waycross and Naomi Spead of Kingsland; aunts, Theresa of Woodbine, Gloria and Franky of Jacksonville, Gwen (Jim) of Kingsland, Karen of St. Marys, Sherlma (Willie) of Kingsland and Dottie of Folkston; uncles, Marvin (Stephanie), Cornelius, Commie Jr., Efferne (Kim), Carnell (Tanya), Kevin and Kenneth, all of Kingsland, and Larry of Jacksonville; three great - aunts, Theodoshia and Lola Mae of Kingsland, and Maggie (Mickey) of Brunswick; great - great - aunts and uncles, Frank (Odessa) of Kingsland, Essey (Albert) of Colorado, Ocie (Willie) of Jacksonville and Mattie (Curtis) of Kingsland; a devoted mentor and adopted father, Duncan Jackson; special friend, Jason Jackson Sr.; and a host of cousins and other friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Feb. 1 at New Wave of Glory Christian Center, with Rev. Charles Buck, pastor, officiating. Interment was in Kingsland Cemetery.
Sunset Funeral Home of Kingsland was in charge of arrangements.

KEON - Bonnie Jean Keon, 64, of St. Marys died on Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004 at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick.
Keon was a native of Painesville, Ohio, and had lived in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. She had been a resident of Camden County for the past four months.
Keon was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Lee Keon of St. Marys; two daughters, Holly Cote of Wilton, Conn., and Dawn Keon of Campbellsville, Ky.; two brothers, William Sanislow of Orlando, Fla., and Dave Sanislow of Plymouth, Mich.; sister, Karen Patterson of Wayne, Mich.; and two grandchildren, Zachary Cote and Benjamin Cote.
Allison Memorial Chapel of St. Marys was in charge of arrangements.
Memorial services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 29 at St. Marys First Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Rick Douylliez officiating.
