BEAUFORT -- Nathaniel Williams, 78, died Dec. 30 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Estill and was a retired farmer.

SURVIVORS: his wife, Louise Williams of Beaufort; two sons, Matthew Coleman of Maples, Fla., and Leroy Coleman of Dale; a step-daughter, Mary McGowan of Beaufort; two stepsons, Joe Louis Williams of Beaufort and Richard Williams of Savannah, Ga.; six grandchildren, 18 step-grandchildren; 32 step-great-grandchildren and two step-great-great-grandchildren.

FUNERAL: 3 p.m. Sunday at Friendship Holiness Church, Stuart Point, burial in Sixteen Gates Cemetery.

Rosy Wollner

HILTON HEAD ISLAND -- Rosy Wollner, 58, died Jan. 5 at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Ga.

SURVIVORS: her husband, Klaus Wollner; her mother, Maria Teresa De Sesma; two brothers, her twin Ignacio Sesma, and Antonio Sesma; and three sisters, Margarita Sesma, Maria Teresa Sesma and Ana Maria Sesma.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: 4 p.m. Wednesday at St. Francis by the Sea Catholic Church.

Annie Mae Woods

SWAINSBORO -- Annie Mae Woods, 86, died Jan. 4 at Candler County Hospital.

She was a native of Emanuel Co., a homemaker and produce worker at Paige's IGA. She was a member of Antioch Primitive Baptist Church and attended the Twin City First United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Buck Woods.

SURVIVORS: a daughter, Claudine Clifton of Metter; two sons, Harvey Lee Woods of Jonesboro and Tommy Gene Woods of Twin City; a sister, Pauline Edenfield of Metter; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

FUNERAL: 1 p.m. today at Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary, burial in Antioch Primitive Baptist Church cemetery near Swainsboro.

Teddy Woods

LYONS -- Teddy Woods, 41, died Jan. 4 at Meadows Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Toombs County and lived in Candler County most of his life. He was a heavy equipment operator and was a Baptist.

SURVIVORS: a daughter, Angela Woods of Warner Robins; five sisters, Ruth Roberson of Atlanta, Mary Sikes and Betty Lively, both of Cobbtown, Doris Woods of Swainsboro and Gail Williams Taylor of Hazlehurst; five brothers, Billy Woods of Johnson Corner, Jerry E. Woods and Jimmy Woods, both of Lyons and Tommy Woods and Charles Woods, both of Metter; and several nieces and nephews.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: 3 p.m. Monday at Ronnie L. Stewart Family Funeral Service, Vidalia.

Susan R. Willson

Susan Rivenbark Willson, 71, died March 1.

The Savannah native was a kindergarten teacher, both in private and public shcools for many years. She was a member of Chapel By The Sea Baptist Church on Tybee Island, a member of the Sunshine Sunday School Class, a member of the church study group and a member of the Tybee Island Historical Society.

SURVIVORS: two daughters, Melanie Willson Hooper of Alexandria, Va., and Nancy Karen Willson of Richmond, Va.; two brothers, Robert R. Rivenbark of Tonawanda, N.Y., and Ted Rivenbark of Hawthorne, Calif.; a sister, Betty Macias of Amelia Island, Fla.; and three grandsons, Christopher Holdswath, and Daniel and Mitchell Hooper.

VISITATION: 6-8 p.m. today at Fox & Weeks Funeral Home, Islands Chapel.

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 11 a.m. Friday in Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.

James M. Roberts

James Mack Roberts, 76, died Oct. 10 at Hospice Savannah.

He was born in Richland and lived in Savannah most of his life. He attended Savannah State College, South Carolina State College and graduated from Atlanta School of Mortuary Science.

He retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was a former embalmer for Bynes-Royall Funeral Home. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a communicant of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, the Men's Club and L'Allegro's Social Club.

SURVIVORS: his wife, Marion Priester Roberts of Savannah; two daughters, Evadne L. Roberts and Margaret Roberts, both of Savannah; his mother, Amzie Roberts of Hinesville; a sister, Mary Bridges of Detroit; two grandsons, Donald Lucius and Lee Grant Pearson Jr., both of Savannah; a son-in-law, Lee Grant Pearson of Savannah; and other relatives.

FUNERAL: 3 p.m. Wednesday at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, burial in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery.

Eunice H. Baxter

GLENNVILLE -- Mrs. Eunice Hendricks Baxter, 96, died Oct. 11 at Anne C. Personal Care Home.

She was a native of Tattnall County and the widow of Raleigh B. Baxter. She attended the University of Georgia and taught briefly in the Tattnall County public school system.

She served as first president of the Ladies Auxiliary of Post No. 95, American Legion of Glennville, and was a member of First Baptist Church for 46 years. She taught the Adult Women's Sunday School Class for more than 30 years. She was an organizing member of the Tattnall County Historical Society and active in other church and civic affairs.

SURVIVORS: her children, Lois Brown of Macon and S.M. Baxter of Glennville; a sister, Mrs. Raymond H. Sapp of Hinesville; a brother, Coy Hendricks of Savannah; a sister-in-law, Fannie Kate Patterson of Glennville; four grandchildren, Mark Baxter of Macon, John A. Baxter and Rebecca Thompson, both of Glennville, and Gayle Brown of Macon; and eight great-grandchildren.

FUNERAL: 3 p.m. today at Glennville First Baptist Church, burial in Glennville City Cemetery.

Frances A. Chakmak

PINE HARBOR -- Frances Elizabeth Amason Chakmak, 40, died Oct. 10 at Southeast Georgia Regional Medical Center in Brunswick.

She was born in Fairfax County, Va., and moved to McIntosh County in 1977 from Atlanta. She was a graduate of Sequoia High School, DeKalb Tech and attended Brunswick Junior College. She was a member of Morgans Chapel and the Darien McIntosh Volunteer Fire Department. She was an insurance agent for Auten Insurance Co., in Brunswick and a homemaker.

SURVIVORS: her husband, William A. Chakmak of Pine Harbor; two sons, Bill D. and William D. Chakmak, both of Pine Harbor; her parents, Otis A. and Frances B. Amason of Midway; and a brother and sister-in-law, John B. and Lisa Amason, of Midway.

VISITATION: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home in Hinesville.

FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Thursday at Dorchester Presbyterian Church, burial in Dorchester Cemetery.

Lias L. Horne Jr.

HAZLEHURST -- Lias Lawrence "L.L." Horne Jr., 79, died Oct. 10 at Atlanta Medical Center in Atlanta.

He was a lifelong resident of Jeff Davis County and a member of Excelsior Methodist Church. He retired from Hazlehurst Mills.

SURVIVORS: his wife, Leona Branch Horne of Hazlehurst; two daughters, Linda Herndon of Hazlehurst and Becky McNeal of Shannon, N.C.; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

VISITATION: after 5 p.m. today at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home in Hazlehurst.

FUNERAL: 3 p.m. Wednesday at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home, burial in Palms Memorial Gardens.

Rufus L Akins

DENMARK -- Rufus Lee Akins, 86, died May 25 at home under the care of Vista Hospice.

The lifelong resident of Bulloch County was a retired farmer and a deacon of Brooklet Primitive Baptist Church.

SURVIVORS: his wife, Frankie Lanier Akins of Denmark; a daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Sammy Glisson of Denmark; a son, R.L. Akins of Reidsville; two sisters, Nita Lanier and Frances Anderson, both of Statesboro; three grandsons, Rick and Lee Glisson, both of Denmark, and Joe Glisson of Register; and five great-grandchildren.

VISITATION: 6-9 p.m. today at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home, Statesboro.

FUNERAL: 3 p.m. Saturday at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home, burial in Brooklet City Cemetery.

Helen Alderson

ST. SIMONS ISLAND -- Helen Alderson, 84, died May 25 at Brian Center.

SURVIVORS: two sons, Herb Alderson of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Tom Alderson of Bethel Park, Pa.; a daughter, Pam Wilson of St. Simons Island; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday in Mount Pleasant cemetery in Arlington, Mass.
