Mary Ann H. Robinson

MILLEN -- Mrs. Mary Ann Harris Robinson, 47, died Nov. 3 at Jenkins County Hospital.

She was a native of Dublin and attended elementary and junior high school in Miami. She graduated from Jenkins County High School in 1971. She was a member of Morrison Grove Baptist Church, served as a Sunday school teacher and was a member of the choir.

SURVIVORS: a son, Antwan Robinson of Millen; her mother, Ollie M. Harris of Millen; her father, Hosley B. Harris of Dublin; a brother, Michael Harris of Sylvania; and five sisters, Rosa M. Robinson of Washington, Gloriden Davis of Indianapolis, Bonnie S. Gregory of Byron, Bernadine Cosby of Millen and Annie B. Shumake of Ewing, N.J.

VISITATION: will begin at noon today at Dwight's Funeral Home in Millen.

FUNERAL: 1 p.m. Thursday at Morrison Grove Baptist Church, burial in New Millen Cemetery.

John L. Sanders

John L. Sanders, 62, died Nov. 6 at Candler Hospital.

He was born in Columbus, Ohio, and was a longtime resident of Savannah. He was a member of St. Francis of the Islands Episcopal Church and served as senior and junior warden and on the vestry. He was a former member of Lions Club and the Navy League. He was a Navy veteran and retired from Unisys Corp.

SURVIVORS: his wife, Sandra H. Sanders of Savannah; sons, J. David Sanders of Savannah and J. Douglas Sanders of Elizabeth City, N.C.; daughters, Kelli Mahany and Dana Boaen, both of Savannah, Kerri Cupsetid of Coatesville, Pa., and Kendall Tanner of Buford; his mother, Ruth Sanders of Savannah; a sister, Ann Hansen of San Clemente, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.

VISITATION: 6-8 p.m. today at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis of the Islands Episcopal Church.

REMEMBRANCES: Chatham County Humane Society, St. Francis of the Islands Memorial Gardens or Gideon International.

Lenon Skinner

TOWNSEND -- Lenon Skinner, 71, died Nov. 6 at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick.

He was born in Appling County and lived in McIntosh County the past 29 years. He was a member of Richmond Hill Methodist Church and an Army veteran.

SURVIVORS: his wife, Christine Skinner of Townsend; three daughters, Joy Apilado of Fairfield, Calif., Sherrell Fleming of Bellville and Karen Sikes of Bloomingdale; a son, Ricky Skinner of Bellville; a sister, Ila Mae McLeighton of Baxley; a brother, Albert Skinner of Baxley; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

VISITATION: 6-8 p.m. today at Swain Funeral Home, Baxley.

FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Thursday at Swain Funeral Home, burial in Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Rose S. Solomons

EFFINGHAM COUNTY -- Rose Chapman Scoville Solomons, 75, died Nov. 6 at Memorial Health University Medical Center.

She was born in Bibb County and was a graduate of Georgia State College for Women. She was librarian at Savannah Christian Preparatory School. She was a member of Springfield United Methodist Church, Springfield, U.M.W., Travelers and Bible Studies Sunday School Class. She was a former member of Epworth United Methodist Church, Roy Morehouse Sunday School Class and Chancel Choir.

SURVIVORS: two sons, Charles E. Solomons Jr. of Wilmington Island and Edwin P. Solomons of Springfield; and three grandchildren, Joshua Paul Solomons of Athens and Angela Victoria and John Charles Solomons, both of Rincon.

VISITATION: 5-8 p.m. today at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, Effingham Chapel.

SERVICE: 2 p.m. Thursday at Springfield United Methodist Church, burial in Bonaventure Cemetery.

Claudie T. Tinker

SATELLITE BEACH, Fla. -- Mrs. Claudia Tuck Tinker, 90, died Nov. 4.

The native of Athens, Ga., was a former resident of Athens, Savannah, Atlanta and Statesboro. She was the widow of John Minton Tinker of Macon. She was a retired schoolteacher and had served her church, Holy Trinity Episcopal in Statesboro for many years. For several years, she was president of the Statesboro Woman's Club.

After 38 years in Statesboro, she moved to Satellite Beach in 1991. She was active in St. John's Episcopal Church and the Daughters of the King. She was also a member of St. Catherines Guild of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Melbourne, and the Retired Schoolteachers Association.

SURVIVORS: three daughters and a son-in-law, Claudia Elizabeth Donaldson and Robert L. Donalson Sr. of Satellite Beach, and Carolyn Rose Fraiser and Martha Louise Robinson, both of Atlanta; 10 grandchildren, including Russell Lawrence Glunt III of the Coast Guard, Alameda Calif.; and 10 great-grandchildren.

VISITATION: 5-8 p.m. Friday at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro.

FUNERAL: 2 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Episcopal Church in Statesboro, burial in Eastside cemetery in Statesboro.

Lucille M. Turner

Mrs. Lucille Moody Turner, 78, of Port Wentworth, died Nov. 5 at Westview Convalescent Center in Port Wentworth.

She was born in Savannah and was the widow of Robert Turner. She was a member of Bonnybridge Baptist Church and had formerly worked at Westview Convalescent Center, in the dietary department.

SURVIVORS: a son, Fred Allen Harrielson of Savannah; a daughter, Janet Louise Oleski of New Orleans; a brother, Charles David Moody of Savannah; a sister, Margaret Moody Watson of Savannah; two grandchildren, Mary Camille Oleski of Savannah and Christine Marie Oleski of New Orleans; and three great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hubert C. Baker Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel.

REMEMBRANCES: a charity of the donor's choice.

Herbert S. Wittkamp Jr.

Herbert S. Wittkamp Jr., 70, died Nov. 4 at Memorial Health University Medical Center.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean conflict. He retired from the Savannah Sugar Refinery and attended Windsor Forest Baptist Church.

SURVIVORS: his wife, Janet Royal Wittkamp of Savannah; a son and daughter-in-law, Neal A. Wittkamp and Sarah J. Mackey Wittkamp of Savannah; two daughters and a son-in-law, Shelia M. Wittkamp of Savannah, and Arlene W. and Raymond H. DuBois of Richmond Hill; and five grandchildren.

FUNERAL: 12:30 p.m. today at Windsor Forest Baptist Church, burial in Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.

Henry Young

Henry Young, 84, died Nov. 6 at Chatham Nursing Home.

He was a native of Clyo and lived in Savannah for many years. He attended Effingham County public schools. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a retired truck driver.

SURVIVORS: a sister, Leola Young of Savannah; and a host of nieces and nephews, including Essie Thomas-Ellison of Savannah.

FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Saturday at Happy Home Missionary Baptist Church, burial in Mount Pisgah cemetery in Clyo.

Estell P. Beasley

PEMBROKE - Estell Powell Beasley, 77, died Oct. 13 at home under the care of Savannah Hospice.

She was a native of Tattnall County and had lived in Bryan County for the last 50 years. She was a homemaker and member of Pembroke Holy Church of God.

SURVIVORS: four sons, Meady C. Beasley Jr., Leroy Beasley, Jimmy Beasley and Lester Beasley; two daughters, Jeannette Bacon and Bernice Bacon; 20 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

VISITATION: 6-9 p.m. today at McLamb-Morrison Funeral Home.

FUNERAL: 2 p.m. Monday at McLamb-Morrison Funeral Home, burial in Northside City Cemetery.

Gerald D. Bender

HILTON HEAD ISLAND - Gerald D. Bender, 74, died Oct. 13 at Hilton Head Medical Center and Clinics.

He was a native of Bronx, N.Y. and a frequent visitor and property owner on Hilton Head Island since 1973. He moved to Hilton Head permanently in 1993 from Cos Cob, Conn. He worked as an illustrator and creative director in advertising for many years in the New York City area, and was a member of Society of Illustrators in New York. While living on the island, he was a portrait artist, having his work entered in several shows winning awards. He was a member of Hilton Head Art League and had a painting at the Savannah College of Art and Design in the permanent collection.

SURVIVORS: his wife, Janet England Bender; three sons, Duke Bender of San Francisco, Curt Bender of Hollywood, Fla., and Neal Bender of Los Angeles; and a sister, Frances Grosberg of East Meadow, Long Island, Conn.

Services will be private.

Frank B. Bragg Sr.

HAZLEHURST - Frank Burton Bragg Sr., 70, died Oct. 13 at home.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Jeff Davis County. He was a retired insurance agent, Air Force veteran and member of First United Methodist Church of Hazlehurst.

SURVIVORS: his wife, Gwen D. Bragg of Hazlehurst; three sons, Col. Frank B. Bragg Jr. of Fort Gordon, Gregg Bragg of Warner Robins and Alan Bragg of Hazlehurst; two daughters, Patricia McNeal of Hazlehurst and Melinda Ferrell of Fayetteville; a sister, Mary Anne Gerlach of Raleigh, Miss.; nine grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

FUNERAL: 3 p.m. today at First Untied Methodist Church of Hazlehurst, burial in Hazlehurst City Cemetery.
