Anna Lewis Buchsbaum
Mrs. Anna Lewis "Aunt Anne" Buchsbaum, 101, died June 5 at Azalealand Convalescent Center.
She was born in New York City and moved to Savannah in 1902. She was a graduate of Savannah High School and worked in Savannah. She also worked in New York for a brief time but lived in Savannah most of her life. During World War II, she worked for the Corps of Engineers and then for Meddin Meat Co. in the old City Market as a bookkeeper, retiring from Meddin Enterprises after 35 years. She was the widow of Joseph Buchsbaum.
She was active in volunteer social work and charitable causes. She worked for 15 years as a volunteer at Memorial Hospital and worked for Savannah Speech and Hearing. She was active in her synagogue and served as an officer of Hadassah Women's Organization. She was still active as a volunteer at the age of 97. She voted in every national election since women received the right to vote. She was a member of Congregation Agudath Achim.
SURVIVORS: several nieces and nephews.

Sylvia L. Cuzzocreo
HILTON HEAD ISLAND -- Sylvia L. Cuzzocreo, 83, of The Cypress, died June 4 at The Preston Health Center.
She was born in New Haven, Conn. She attended Commercial High School in New Haven and held various jobs in business. She lived in Orange, Conn., until 1981 and moved to Hilton Head Island in November 1998 from Stratford, Conn. She was the widow of Ernest Cuzzocreo Sr.
SURVIVORS: a daughter and son-in-law, Gayle and Rick Caporale of Hilton Head Island; a son, Ernest J. Cuzzocreo Jr. of Hilton Head Island; and a grandson, Matthew Caporale of Hilton Head Island.
A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: 10 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Catholic Church.
Interment will be in St. Francis Columbarium.
