Mary Jean Geiger Hadaway
Mary Jean Geiger Hadaway, age 71, of McDonough, Georgia, died November 16, 2009. Mrs. Hadaway was born
in Newton County, the daughter of the late Laura Jean Berry and James Franklin Geiger. Mrs. Hadaway was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. She worked most of her career as a registered nurse in pediatrics. Mrs. Hadaway was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, cooking and reading.
Survivors are her husband, Ira Hadaway of McDonough; children, Linda and Jeff Cathey of Wichita, Kansas, James and Sharron Hadaway of Madison, Alabama, and Tim and Kay Hadaway of Hampton; 7 grandchildren; brothers, John Randle of Fayetteville and James Geiger of High Point, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hadaway were held November 19, at Bethany Baptist Church, with Rev. Al O’Quinn officiating. Entombment at Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park. Donations may be made to the Bethany Baptist Church Building fund. Haisten Funeral Home, McDonough, 770-914-8833.
James Franklin Williamson
James Franklin “Frank” Williamson, age 83, of Hampton, Georgia, died November 17, 2009. born
June 30, 1926, in DeKalb County, he was the son of the late Hoke and Bessie Mae Pruett Williamson. His lifelong career was in service to his country. He served in the Merchant Marines and in the Navy in the Pacific during World War II. He then served in the Army in various places in the U. S., Germany and Korea. After his retirement, he resided in Henry County.
Survivors include sister, Carolyn D. Pittard of Morrow; sister and brother-in-law, Jackie and John White, Toccoa, niece, Angela Girolami; nephews, Andy Pittard, Richmond, Virginia, and Joseph Pittard, Sterling, Virginia.
Graveside services were held November 20 at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge. Horis A. Ward Funeral Home.
Eddie Lou Dean
Eddie Lou Dean, age 68, of Stockbridge, Georgia, died November 17, 2009. Mr. Dean was born
in Turner County, the son of the late Lula Mae Mauldin and James Randolph Dean. He was employed before his retirement as a carpenter. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and known for his craftsmanship. He enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling.
Survivors are his wife, Kathleen Dean of Stockbridge; children, Michael and Melissa Dean of Griffin and Eddie Dean of McDonough; granddaughter, Kristen Dean of Griffin; sisters, Carolyn Rogers and Irene Five-ash of Ashburn; brother, David Dean of Mississippi; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for Mr. Dean was held November 20 at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery, with Pastor Hugh Smith officiating.
Erna Katherine Haripar
Erna Katherine Haripar, age 87, of McDonough, Georgia, formerly of Tucson, Arizona, died November 17, 2009. Mrs. Haripar was born
in Wicker, Ger-many. Her husband of 51 years, George Emil Haripar, preceded her in death in 1999. Mrs. Haripar was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed shopping, cooking, sewing, and traveling. She attended St. James Catholic Church in McDonough.
Survivors are her children, Kurt and Betty Haripar of McDonough and Barbara Vanatta of Cheyenne, Wyoming; grandchildren, Kenneth and Jennifer Haripar of High Falls, Cole Rogers of California, Caitlin Rogers of Colorado, Kirstin Vanatta and Laura Vanatta of Wyoming; two great-grandchildren; sister, Inge Heuck of Germany; and one nephew.
A private memorial service for Mrs. Haripar will be held later in Tucson, Arizona, where she will join her husband at Holy Hope Cemetery. Haisten Funeral Home, McDonough, 770-914-8833.
Rachel Parker
Rachel Parker, age 85, of McDonough, Georgia died November 18, 2009. She was born
in Buhl, Alabama, to the late William and Lee Beam Crocker. Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her husband, C.C. (Irish) Parker. She was a member of the Eastern Star for over 20 years and dearly loved her pets.
Mrs. Parker is survived by her daughter, Virginia Webb, McDonough; granddaughter, Cynthia Buck, Sharpsburg; grandson, Chris Webb, Rosemary Beach, Florida; and four great-grandchildren.

Charles Edward Haist
Charles Edward Haist, age 66, of Locust Grove, Georgia, died November 19, 2009. He was born
in Parkersburg, West Virginia. to the late Richard W. Haist, Sr. and Kathalee Reynolds Haist. He was preceded in death by his son, Charles R.T. Haist and by brothers, Richard and Thomas Haist. He graduated from Forest Park High School and LaSalle University and served his country in the United States Army and National Guard. His entire working career was with the U.S. Government and he was a member of the Mensa Society. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed darts, playing cards and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Suzan Haist of Locust Grove; daughter, Kathalee (Tom) Peters of Buford; sister, Sonja (Dick) Sherrell of Flowery Branch.
A memorial service was conducted November 22 at the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Lee Allen Sanders
Lee Allen Sanders, age 38, of Stockbridge, died November 21, 2009. He was born
in East Point, to Cecilia Starr Groover Sanders and the late Elrique Michael Sanders. He worked as a framer in construction, was an avid reader and enjoyed motorcycles.
Survivors include his mother, Cecilia Sanders; brothers, Neal Michael Sanders and Eric Christian Sanders; niece and nephew, Miranda and Nolan Sanders.
Graveside funeral services were conducted November 23 at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Fairburn, Pastor Clayton Hamilton officiating.
