OAK PARK--Funeral for Carolyn Joy Beasley, 51 was held Sunday, Sept. 22, 2002, at 3 p.m. at Ronnie L. Stewart Family Funeral Service Chapel of Vidalia. Burial was at Kirby cemetery near Oak Park.
She died Friday, Sept. 20, 2002, at her residence after an extended illness.
Mrs. Beasley was a native of London, Ky., resided in Indianapolis, Ind. several years and Oak Park the past 18 years. She was a licensed practical nurse with Vidalia Pediatric Clinic 10 years and also with Toombs Nursing Home and Bethany Nursing Home of Vidalia. She taught nursing aid at Southeastern Technical College and was a member of United Fellowship Baptist Church of Oak Park.
Survivors include her husband, Gary Beasley of Oak Park; two daughters, Jennifer Strange and Cortney Beasley, both of Oak Park; one son, Gary Beasley Jr.; one sister, Lottie McTarsney of Clermont, Ind.; three brothers, Hobart Deaton of Fayette, Ind., Dallas Deaton and Don Deaton, both of Mooresville, Ind.; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Jerry Neal, Calvin Beasley, Charles Alyea, Steven Cloud, Wayne Hopkins and Robert Beckum.

Alton Clayton Slawson Sr., 69
SWAINSBORO--Funeral for Alton Clayton Slawson Sr., 69, was held Friday, Sept. 27, 2002, at 11 a.m. at Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary Chapel with Dr. Bob Blankenship officiating. Burial was at Eastbrook Cemetery.
He died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002 at Emanuel Medical Center after an extended illness.
A native of Union Town, Ala., Mr. Slawson was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict and director of night adult education at Swainsboro Technical College. He attended First Baptist Church and was father of the late Alton Clayton Slawson Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Elkins Slawson of Swainsboro; two daughters, Danea Yawn of Wrightsville and Lynn Green of Metter; one son, Phillip Slawson of Jacksonville, Fla.; one sister, Lillie Tanner of Mobile, Ala.; one brother, Jim Slawson of Swainsboro and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Wayne Folds, Dean Drake, Gary Hodges, Buddy Lawson, Wendell Brinson, Wimpy Wiggs, Dennis Hutchins and Don Morris.
Honorary pallbearers were Cecil Reddish, John Stanfield, Harold Knowlton, Bobby Sasser, Jim Cameron, Frank Rich, Nick Herrington, Gerald Woodell, Harold Mullikin and P. O. Youmans.

Jerry Richard Clark, 58
WAYNESBORO--Funeral for Jerry Richard Clark, 58, was held Friday, Sept. 27, 2002, at 11 a.m. at Midville Baptist Church with the Rev. Lester Clark officiating. Burial was at Midville City Cemetery.
He died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002, at Doctors Hospital in Augusta.
Mr. Clark was a native and lifelong resident of Burke County. He was an employee of Kwikset and member of Midville Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, John W. Clark and Ruth Clark, and two brothers, Henry Clark and Billy Clark.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Mead Clark of Waynesboro; one daughter, Kimberly Clark-Brake of Sparta; one brother, Jimmy Clark of Swainsboro; one sister, Helen Kennedy of Swainsboro and one halfbrother, Lamar Clark of Michigan.
Pallbearers were Joseph Burke, Harry "Mutt" Kennedy, Roger Peck, Tommy Beard, Tommy Mead, Jim Brake and Ellis Peeler.

STILLMORE--Funeral for Rollie Wynne Perkins, 86, was held Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, at 11 a.m. at Kennedy Morgan Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel of Metter. The Rev. Louis Pearce and the Rev. Thomas Simmons officiated. Burial was at Stillmore City Cemetery.
He died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, at Metter Nursing Home.
Mr. Perkins was an Emanuel County native and lifelong resident of Stillmore. He was a retired farmer and the oldest member of Stillmore Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Iris H. Perkins of Stillmore; two daughters, Joanne Swanson of Suwanee and Rosalyn P. Alke of Watkinsville; two stepsons, Wendell Harvey and J.C. Harvey, both of Lyons; two stepdaughters, Sue McCumber of Reidsville and Earnestine Powell of Metter; one sister, Dorothy P. Johnson of St. Simons; one granddaughter; 11 stepgrandchildren and several step-greatgrandchildren.

LYONS--Funeral for Fannie Mae Collins Lynn, 80, was held Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, at 4:30 p.m. at Oak Park Church of God with the Rev. Brian Powell and the Rev. Kelmer Durden officiating. Burial was at Collins Baptist Church Cemetery.
She died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2002, at Meadows Regional Medical Center of Vidalia after a brief illness.
Mrs. Lynn was a native of Emanuel County and resided in Lyons the past 41 years. She was a retired federal employee and member of Oak Park Church of God.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Green of Kennesaw and Carol Sue Lynn Faircloth of Lyons; four sisters, Nell Anderson of Lyons, Jo Harrell of Hephzibah, Dot Joyner and Janis LaBelle, both of Midville; two brothers, Albert Jarahn Collins Sr. of Lyons and Marvin O. Collins of Swainsboro; two granddaughters; four godchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He died Friday, Sept. 27, 2002, at Emanuel County Nursing Home after an extended illness.
Mr. Price was born in Washington County the son of the late Mack D. and Ada Page Price. He was a retired farmer and member of Gumlog Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include his brother, Elmer T. Price of Kite, five nieces and six nephews.
Active pallbearers were Donnie Price, Johnnie Price, Joel Price, Todd Ellington, Gordon Thigpen and Tobby Price.

WAYCROSS--Funeral for Fern Nellie Warren Everett, 89, was held Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, at 3 p.m. at Olivett Baptist Church with the Rev. David Currie and Dr. Bucky Kennedy officiating. Burial was at Dublin Memorial Gardens.
She died Friday, Sept. 27, 2002.
A native of Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Everett was the daughter of the late Charles Victor Warren and the late Nellie Froggett Warren. She was a resident of Laurens County for many years and a retired registered nurse. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. C. K. Everett.
Survivors include two daughters, Doris Everett Kennedy Trapnell of Dublin and Charlotte Everett Stevenot; one son, Charles K. (Ken) Everett Jr. of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one sister, Alma McDonald of Popillian, Neb.; one brother, David Warren of Seattle, Wash.; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, in New Bern, N.C.
Mrs. Warren, a native of Taliaferro County, had lived in Thomson for many years. She was a homemaker and member of Raytown Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Dallas Eddie Warren of Thomson; one daughter, Ann Bahmad of Appling; two sons, W. H. "Buddy" Stevens Sr. of Grovetown and Harvey P. Stevens Jr. of Swainsboro; one stepdaughter, Peggy Kitchens of Thomson; three sisters, Estelle Wilson of Abbeville, S.C.. Barbara Ann Eubanks of Trenton, N.C. and Ruby McCoy of Augusta; five grandchildren; one stepgrandchild and three step-greatgrandchildren.

He died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2002, at Emanuel Medical Center after an extended illness.
Mr. Lloyd was born in Lee County, S.C. to the late Enoch and Janie Murray Lloyd. At a young age, he moved to Ga. where he met and married
Iomia Harmon. They had nine children. After Iomia's death, he met and married
Elmer Seabrough and they had five children. He was a member of Greater St. James Baptist Church where he served as Chairman of the Deacon Board. He also owned and operated T. Lloyd's Scrap & Metal Company.
Survivors include his wife, Elmer Seabrough Lloyd of Swainsboro; seven daughters, Myra Lloyd Gooden of College Park, Cheryl Lloyd Boston of Lawrenceville, Vernita Jean Lloyd of Willingboro, N.J., Vernell King, Delane Lloyd Washington, Wyomia Brown, and Debra Lloyd, all of Swainsboro; six sons, Tealang Lloyd Jr. of Clarksville, Tenn., Calvin Lloyd of Dumfries, Va., Willie James Lloyd, Bobby Lloyd, Alvin Lloyd and Tommy Lloyd, all of Swainsboro; one sister, Ella Boone of Rembert, S.C.; five brothers, Parker Lloyd and Jessie Lloyd, both of Rembert, S.C., Willie Arthur Lloyd of Bennettesville, S.C., Carson Lloyd of Philadelphia, Pa. and Charlie Lloyd of Newark, N.J.; 38 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; also several nieces, nephews and relatives.

PERRY-- Funeral for Evelyn Murphy Hayes, 72, was held Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2002, at 11 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home Chapel of Warner Robins. Burial followed at Woodlawn Cemetery.
She died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2002, at her residence.
Mrs. Hayes was born in Swainsboro. She was retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base and a member of First Baptist Church of Perry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeems F. Hayes; son, Jeems M. Hayes Sr. and father, James Murphy.
Survivors include her mother, Lydia Murphy; one daughter, Vicki H. Claxton of Perry; one son, Ricky C. Hayes of Perry; one brother, Jimmy Murphy of Swainsboro; three sisters, Mary Kent and Johnnie Boulineau, both of Swainsboro and Tessie Greenway of Bartow; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
