William Cuthbert McDougal, Jr.
Mr.William Cuthbert McDougal, Jr., age 89, of Stockbridge, died July 10, 2008 in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born
December 31, 1918 in Carrollton, Mississippi to the late William Cuthbert and Isabel Caldwell McDougal. He attended public schools in Greenwood, Mississippi, Riverside Military Academy in Gainesville, Georgia. Upon completing his education, he joined Douglas Aircraft Company in Los Angeles, California. At the outbreak of World War II, he joined the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving his country in New Guinea, the Philippines, and Japan. In 1946, he joined C&S Airlines, working in his hometown of Greenwood and later Chicago. He joined Delta Air Lines upon their acquisition of C & S and subsequently moved his family to the Atlanta area, settling in East Point and later in Fayetteville. He remained with Delta for 36 years, retiring in 1983. He was a member of Delta Pioneers, Clan MacDougall Society, former Flat Creek Club Member, former Elks Club Member and former member of the Modernaires. He is preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Marion Majet McDougal.
Survivors include his two daughters, Lane McDougal of Atlanta, Marion “Kookie” McDougal Liles (Malcolm H.) of Nashville, Tennessee; son, William Cuthbert McDougal III of East Point and four grandsons.
Services were held Monday, July 14 at Camp Memorial Park in Fayetteville with Minister John Bandy officiating. Memorial donations may be made to French Camp Academy, French Camp, Mississippi or to Clan MacDougall Society. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
Robert Garcia
Mr. Robert Garcia, age 45, of Stockbridge, Georgia died Friday, July 11, 2008. He was born
February 2, 1963 in the District of Columbia, to Manuel Blanco and Gertrudes Meder Garcia.
Survivors include his parents, Manuel and Gertrudes; children, Robert Michael Garcia, Alexandra Garcia and Zachary Lee Garcia, all of McDonough; brothers, Marcos Garcia of Locust Grove and Manolo Garcia of Rome, Texas .
Services were held July 15 at the Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors. Interment Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
Frank Leon Clark
Mr. Frank Leon Clark, age 78, of Stockbridge, Georgia died July 12, 2008. He was born
March 16, 1930 in Trenton, New Jersey to the late Leon and Julia Clark. Mr. Clark was a member of the American Legion and the AARP.
Survivors include his wife, Joan; sons and daughters-in-law, David F. and Lynn Clark of Abingdon, Maryland and Donald K. and Pam Clark of Athens, Tennessee; daughter, Linda C. Franklin of Stockbridge; grandchildren, Katie Clark of Abingdon, Maryland, Erik Clark, Alex Clark, Jill Clark (Travis) Crisp of Athens, Tennessee, Chad Franklin of Stockbridge; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Albert and Irene Lambert of Stratford, Connecticut; sister, Ellen Mosier of McMurray, Pennsylvania ; two nieces, two nephews, three great nieces, and one great nephew.
Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday July 16, at the Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors with Rev. Terry Hash officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. Interment Thursday at Georgia National Cemetery

Helen Beatrice Bring Hughson
Mrs. Helen Beatrice Bring Hughson, age 98, of Stockbridge, Georgia died July 12, 2008. Mrs. Hughson was born
in Iowa, the daughter of the late Emma Swanson and Fred Bring. Mrs. Hughson was born
and raised in Iowa until 1962; she moved to Riverside, California and lived there for 40 years before moving to Georgia in 2002. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed her family, she enjoyed teaching Sunday School, reading, and shopping.
Survivors include her husband, Allison Eugene Hughson of Stockbridge; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Gary Snider of Stockbridge; grandchildren, Kim Mesecher, Michael Audas and Brian Deaton of Iowa and Gary Snider, Helen Snider, Fred Snider and Charlie Snider of Georgia; 17 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Services will be held July 18 at Laurel Hill Cemetery
in Des Moines, Iowa with Gary Snider officiating. A memorial service will be held at Faith Independent Baptist Church on Saturday, July 26 at 11:00 AM. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Nettie Belle Martin Savage
Mrs. Nettie Belle Martin Savage, age 85, of Locust Grove, Georgia died July 12, 2008. Mrs. Savage was born
in Grady, New Mexico, the daughter of the late Lantie Cora Hankins and William Estus Martin. She was a member of the Church of Christ in East Point, she was an honorary Red Hat Lady, she enjoyed her family, friends, crafts, photography, crocheting, gardening, baking and canning. Mrs. Savage was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Savage and children, Allen Savage and Ruby Grace Savage.
Survivors include her children, Howard Savage (Brenda) of Dallas, Texas and Lynda Gibson (Don) of Locust Grove; 15 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and five great grandchildren; brothers, Preston, Albert and Duane Martin; sisters, Glenna Dunn, Frieda Locker, Alta Burkhalter, and Elaine Phillips; numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were held July 15 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Dorriety officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Bobby O. Clark
Mr. Bobby O Clark, age 77, of McDonough, Georgia died July 13, 2008. Mr. Clark was born
in Fulton County, the son of the late Gladys Mae Hicks and Alphonso Wilhelm Clark. Mr. Clark served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, he retired from Atlantic Steele, and he worked as a volunteer with the Henry County Heritage and Hidden Valley Senior Centers. Mr. Clark enjoyed being with his family, friends, hunting, fishing and was an avid pool player.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Freddie Clark of McDonough; children, Joseph Clark (Sherri) of Maryville, Tennessee and Beth Semasky (Mike) of Marietta; grandchildren, Justin Webb, Lindsay Webb, Daniel Clark, and Anna Clark; sisters, Joan Green of Columbus and Alice Rogers of Dunwoody; several nieces and nephews.

Annie Lou Crumbley
Mrs. Annie Lou Crumbley, age 93, of McDonough, Georgia died July 14, 2008. She was born
in McDonough to the late Joseph Cloud and Hattie Lee Partain Fannin. Annie Lou was an active and dedicated member of Salem Baptist Church until her health started declining. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister and a wonderful Christian lady. Mrs. Crumbley was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Peek Crumbley, grandson, Robert Crumbley, brother, Lincoln Fannin, and sister, Pearl Fannin.
Survivors include her children, Colvin (Fran) Crumbley of Stockbridge, Sam Crumbley of Sandy Springs and Eddy (Cathy) Crumbley of McDonough; sister, Allie Buie of McDonough; eight grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
Services were held July 16 at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Dan McKay officiating. Interment Elliott Family Cemetery.
