Sara Hubbard
CANTON - Sara Hubbard died Wednesday, May 19, 2004, at her home. She was 82.
Mrs. Hubbard played the piano at the Loudsville United Methodist Campmeeting in White County for more than 30 years.
Surviving are her sons, Jim Hubbard, Woodstock, and Joe Hubbard, Canton; daughter, the Rev. Dr. Gayle Arnold, Cleveland; sister, Marilyn Kilpatrick, Dallas; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 22, at Hickory Flat United Methodist Church in Canton with the Rev. Claude Smithmier, Dr. Warren Lathem and the Rev. Gayle Arnold officiating. Burial following in Cherokee Memorial Park in Canton.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her memorial fund at Hickory Flat United Methodist Church, 4056 E. Cherokee Drive, Canton, Ga. 30115.

Michael David Nations McEntire
Michael David Nations McEntire of Cleveland died Tuesday, May 18, 2004, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was 26.
Mr. McEntire was born on April 10, 1978, in Habersham County. He was formerly employed as an equipment operator for the White County Water Authority.
Survivors include his wife, Keshia Pugh Nations, Cleveland; parents, Dennis and Teresa Scroggs McEntire, Demorest; daughter, Samantha AnnMarie Nations, Cleveland; grandparents, Lewis and Ruth Scroggs, Cornelia.
Funeral services: 2 p.m. Friday, May 21, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, with Pastor David Crowe and Pastor Jimmy Sargent officiating. Burial following in the Amy's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Eric Russ Pilgrim
Eric Russ Pilgrim of Cleveland died Wednesday, May 19, 2004, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville following injuries he sustained in an automobile accident. He was 30.
Mr. Pilgrim was a lifelong resident of White County and was a member of White Creek Baptist Church. He was employed with TC Heating and Air.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Misty Pilgrim; grandfather, John Pilgrim; aunt, Melba Smith; and cousin, Gary Medlin.
Survivors include his parents, Terry and Debbie Pilgrim; brother, Matt Pilgrim; grandparents, Doyle and Gladys Wheeler and Alma Pilgrim, all of Cleveland; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Carter Dorsey of Cleveland died Tuesday, May 18, 2004, at Habersham County Medical Center in Demorest following an extended illness. He was 86.
Mr. Dorsey was born in White County, the son of the late Arnold Albert and Annie Bethul Alexander Dorsey. He was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche Jones Dorsey; sisters, Mary Lou Simmons, Pearl Carpenter, Daisy Bulgin, Mamie Smith; and brothers, B.C. Dorsey, P.S. Dorsey and Clinton Dorsey.
Survivors include his brother, the Rev. Asa Dorsey, Cleveland; stepsons, Bill Jones, James Jones, both of Detroit, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.

Donald Whitman Condee
Donald Whitman Condee of Cleveland died Monday, May 17, 2004, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville following an extended illness. He was 81.
Mr. Condee was born in Los Angeles to the late Charles Whitman and Gertrude Condee. He was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Heatherington.
Mr. Condee served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was an aviation mechanic for Con V Air and equipment operator for the city government of San Diego. He was a member of Mossy Creek United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Stover Condee, Cleveland; daughter, Jackie Flynn, San Diego, Calif.; son, Charles Condee, Morrisville, Pa.; granddaughter, Maritza Cesena, San Diego; grandsons, Ray Briz, San Diego, Justin Condee and Carson Condee, both of Morrisville, Pa.; great-granddaughter, Alessandra Cesena, San Diego; and other relatives.

CLARKESVILLE - Fannie Lou Harris Landers died Tuesday, May 18, 2004, at Habersham County Medical Center in Demorest following an extended illness. She was 96.
Born in Habersham County on July 9, 1907, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Ruth Thomas Harris. She was a homemaker and a member of Victory Baptist Church.
Mrs. Landers was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Landers; a daughter, Melba Nicholson; sisters, Cora Lee Minyard, Mamie Moody; and brothers, Walter Harris and L.J. Harris.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Butch Ward, Commerce; son and daughter-in-law, Randall and Sue McCollum Landers, Clarkesville; granddaughters and husbands, Sandy and Danny Densmore, Clarkesville, Holly and Ken Canup, Nicholson, Kay and Kenneth McEntire, Demorest, Heather and Reid London, Clarkesville; grandson and wife, Dennis and Kathy Nicholson, Clarkesville; great-grandchildren, Kasey McEntire, Kolby McEntire, both of Demorest, Lee Densmore, Krisi Densmore, Kara, Hannah and Andrew Nicholson, all of Clarkesville, Cole and Alley Kate Canup, both of Nicholson; sister, Alice Jarrard, Clarkesville; and several nieces and nephews.

Coleman Canup
Coleman Canup of Helen died Thursday, May 13, 2004, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville following an extended illness. He was 91.
Born in White County on Feb. 13, 1912, he was the son of the late Church and Elizabeth Abernathy Canup. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Hunter Canup.
Mr. Canup was retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of Chattahoochee Methodist Church and was a lifetime resident of White County.
Survivors include his daughter, Janey Postell, Norcross; son, Morris Canup, Helen; grandson, Shane Postell; great-grandson, Tyler Postell; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday in the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Doyle Thornton officiated. Burial was in Nacoochee United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Eula Black Dorsey
Eula Black Dorsey of Cleveland died Sunday, May 16, 2004, at Friendship Health Care following an extended illness. She was 85.
Mrs. Dorsey was born in White County, the daughter of the late Frank and Lou Dorsey Black. She was preceded in death by her husband, Major Dorsey; sisters, Bobbie Jordan and Lucille Mize; brothers, Allan Black Sr., Doyle Black, Guy Black and Jerry Black.
Mrs. Dorsey was a homemaker and member of Loudsville Methodist Church.
Survivors include her brother, Leon Black, Sautee-Nacoochee; sister, Janie Chambers, Demorest; and many nieces and nephews.

Charles Edward Underwood
Charles Edward Underwood died Thursday, May 13, 2004, at Washington County Medical Center.
He was born in White County and lived here until he enlisted in the Navy in 1959 where he served until his retirement in 1979. He was employed by the state Department of Transportation in Sandersville from 1987-2001. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Ed and Leola Underwood, and two brothers, Thomas Gibbs and John Boyd.
Survivors include his daughter, Kim Underwood, St. Louis, Mo.; and a sister, Hilda Clayton, Atlanta.
Cremation Society of Georgia, Atlanta, handled arrangements.
George Herman Davis
MURRAYVILLE - George Herman Davis died Tuesday, May 11, 2004, at Scenic View Health Care Center following an extended illness. He was 87.
Born in Upson County on April 27, 1917, he was the son of the late John Thomas and Eliza Lucinda Davis. He was a farmer for many years and a member of Mt. View Baptist Church.
Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his sisters, Lena Hicks, Florence Carter, Nora Barrett, Estelle Davis, Bessie Carver, Rosa Mae Bowen, and a brother, Ed Davis.
Survivors include his daughter, Tammy Poole, Baldwin; brothers, Joe Woodrow Davis, Stockbridge; J.W. Davis, Cleveland, Robert Davis, Eastanollee, Jack Davis, Cleveland; sister, Eunice Edge, Cleveland; one grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

GAINESVILLE - Oran Hayden Adams died Monday, May 10, 2004, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness. He was 80.
Mr. Adams was of Christian faith and was a veteran of World War II. He was best remembered for playing Santa Claus during the holiday season.
Survivors include his brother, John Adams, Gainesville; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Pam Howe, Geneva Rector and Edwin Meaders.

A.C. Helton of Cleveland died Saturday, May 8, 2004, at the Lanier Park Campus of the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville following an extended illness. He was 70.
Born in White County on March 22, 1934, he was the son of the late William J. and Isabel Winkler Helton.
Mr. Helton was a U.S. Army veteran, retired truck driver with Gasoline Petroleum Co. and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his brother, Alonzo Helton.
