Jennifer Lynn McCarty of Newnan, Ga passed away January 22, 2008. She was born December 10, 1949 to Marcus Henry Dewberry, Sr. and Martha Alice Crawford. She was born and raised in Newnan, Ga and she was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents and Brother Jimmy Loftin. She is survived by her spouse James (Jimmy) Carver of Newnan, Ga; her sons Kevin (Kim) McCarty of Senoia, Ga; Alan (Kristi) McCarty of Newnan, Ga; her grandchildren Diane & Nicole McCarty, Sam & Grayson McCarty and DJ Harris; her brother Marcus Dewberry, Jr. and her sister Cindy Stephens both of Newnan, Ga. Emma Barron

Emma Wilkes Barron, age 94, was reunited in heaven with her beloved husband Bo on January 21, 2008. She was born in Dallas, Texas on February 24, 1913 and was the daughter of the late Roy Lenoir and Anna Josephine Foreman Wilkes. During her teen years her family moved to LaGrange, Georgia. It was here that she met the man with whom she would share the next 74 years of her life, Frank Marion “Bo” Barron. It was the beginning of a truly blessed union. She was immediately welcomed into the greater Barron family. She embraced this large family as if they were her own. Emma attended LaGrange Business College and was a secretary at Callaway Mills. She also worked in the adult probation office in Newnan as secretary to none other than her best beau, “Bo”. Emma was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She and Bo shamelessly admitted to spoiling the whole lot and made no excuses for it. They, in turn, provided Bo and Emma devoted care as they grew older. Emma was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church and was involved in the life of the church as long as she was able to be. Surviving Emma are her children, Joanna “Jody” Barron Blalock, Frank Marion Barron, Jr. and his wife Linda, Emma Laura Barron Patrick and her husband Bob. In addition to her husband and parents, Emma was preceded in death by her son-in-law Robert Lewis Blalock and her grandson Frank Marion “Bo” Barron III. Counted among life’s blessings were her 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are by McKoon Funeral Home at 38 Jackson Street in Newnan where the family will receive friends on Wednesday evening January 23, 2008 between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be on Thursday, January 24, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Central Baptist Church in Newnan with Dr. Joel E. Richardson and Reverend Sam Henderson officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. It is the family’s request that flowers are omitted and memorial contributions be made in Mrs. Barron’s name to Central Baptist Church P.O. Box 1221 Newnan, Georgia 30264.
Benjamin Trammell

Benjamin Steven Trammell, 26, died Monday, January 21, 2008. He was born January 26, 1981 in Newnan to Steven Edward Trammell & Joan Pollard Trammell. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, James Thomas Pollard and Cecil Henry Trammell. He was a 2000 graduate of East Coweta High School and obtained an Associates Degree from Gainesville College and was currently seeking his Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of West Georgia. He was also a graduate of the Georgia Public Safety Regional Training Center Police Academy in Columbus, GA. He was an avid Civil War re-enactor and was a competitive pistol shooter. The funeral is Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Senoia United Methodist Church with burial following at Senoia City Cemetery. The visitation is Friday evening between 6:00 & 8:00 pm at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St, Newnan, GA 30263. Margaret D. Bilbo, 97, of Newnan died Sunday, January 20, 2008. She was born December 8, 1910 in Newnan. Her husband, Jack Bilbo, preceded her in death. She was a longtime member of Macedonia Baptist Church and retired from Bruner’s Department Store. The funeral is Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the graveside in Oak Hill Cemetery. Norman Joel Gittlen, age 72 born in Pennsylvania resided in Florida for many years, then moved to Newnan. Mr. Gittlen passed away Saturday, January 19, 2008. He is survived by his wife, Rosita Gittlen and daughters, oldest daughter, Sheryl and husband Joe Maruzzella of Newnan and youngest daughter Leslie and husband Mark Fayerman of Newnan. Two beloved grandchildren, Mallory and Lane. The family will hold a private memorial service.

Lewis Ronald Kuhns, 68, of Newnan, GA died Saturday, January 19, 2008 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. He was born June 11, 1939 in Williamsport, PA to the late Harry K. & Violet Kramer Kuhns. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Moffett Kuhns and his brother, Russell Kuhns. He served his country as a veteran in the Army National Guard, in his career as an engineer with the Federal Aviation Administration and in several natural disasters as a reservist with FEMA. He was the owner of Jersey Mike's Subs in Newnan and Peachtree City and was a member of Cornerstone United Methodist Church. The memorial service is Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at 3:00 PM at Cornerstone United Methodist Church with Rev. Joe Watson officiating. Benny Lee Carroll, 71, of Franklin, GA died Friday, January 18, 2007 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. He was born September 26, 1936 in Coweta County, GA to the late Edgar Lee Carroll & Lessie Pearl Tuttle Carroll. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Myrtle Landrum; brother, Bobby Carroll; and son, Tony Carroll. He retired from the Coweta County Building Department as a building inspector after 25 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
