Cecilia Ann Wilson
Mrs. Cecilia Ann Wilson, age 61, of McDonough, Georgia died July 22, 2008. She was born
in Sweetwater, Texas to Reba Davies and the late Cecil B. Hamil. Cecilia retired after 34 years with the Atlanta Hilton Towers Hotel. She was a member of the Pinecrest Baptist Church and enjoyed playing cards. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cherise Elaine Wilson.
Survivors include her husband of 43 years, William W. Wilson of McDonough; son William D. (Janie) Wilson of McDonough; grandchildren, William B. Wilson and Baeleigh Wilson; siblings, Shirley Blackwell of Villa Rica, Anita Taylor of Newnan, Cecil B. Hamil, Jr. of McDonough; mother, Reba Clayton of Jackson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ronnie (Leah) Wilson of McDonough, Charles (Judy) Wood of Temple, niece, Alicia Wilson of New York.
Services were held July 25 from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Pastor Roy Mack officiating. Interment Sherwood Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice in memory of Mrs. Wilson. Haisten Funeral Home, 770-914-8833, in charge of arrangements.
Evelyn Vennie Love
Evelyn Vennie Love, age 71, of Stockbridge, Georgia died July 23, 2008. She was born
in Atlanta to the late James C. and Bulah Eloise Jordan Love. Vennie was a former resident of Logan House in Jonesboro. She made numerous close friends through working at the Clayton Mental Health workshop for nearly 20 years. Through all of Vennie's challenges in life she touched many lives and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her uncle, Joseph B. Love of Ellenwood; cousins, Bonnie Stewart of Stockbridge, Buddy Hendricks of Good Hope, Joey Love of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Larry (Boogie) Stewart Jr. of Locust Grove, Toni Kerce of Stockbridge, Buddy Love of Newnan, Ann Dill of Lawrenceville, Donna Echols of Ellenwood; and numerous second cousins.
Services were held July 25 Eastview Cemetery
in Conyers with Pastor Scott Reece officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vitas Hospice, 931 Rock Quarry Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
Danny Russell Pyles
Mr. Danny Russell Pyles, age 43 of Locust Grove, Georgia died July 23, 2008. He was born
in Spalding County and was employed in construction and enjoyed woodworking.
Survivors include his sons, Henry Russell Pyles of Locust Grove, Jacob Miller of Ola; parents, Frank and LaRue Pyles of Locust Grove; brothers, Walter Richard Pyles of Locust Grove, Bryon Keith Pyles of Locust Grove, Joey Earl Pyles of Jenkinsburg; several nieces and nephews.

Verlie Bea Hatcher
Mrs. Verlie Bea "Granny" Hatcher, age 81, of Stockbridge, Georgia died July 27, 2008. She was born
in Sand Mountain, Alabama to the late Troy Tellis and Lunar Graham Shankles. She loved jigsaw puzzles and gardening.
Granny Hatcher is survived by her children, Nella Mae (Wayne) Barton of McDonough, Peggy Joyce (Jerry) Yarbrough of Mansfield, Terry Lee (Sheila) Hatcher of Stockbridge, Tim (Carmen) Hatcher of Jackson; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren; brother, Troy Shankles of Grand View, Missouri; sisters, Linda Blalock of Henager, Alabama, Reba Long of Rainesville, Alabama; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held July 29 at the Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors with Rev. Jonathon Porter officiating. Interment College Park Cemetery. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
Revel Freeman Bateman
Mr. Revel Freeman “Midge” Bateman, Jr., age 79 of McDonough, Georgia died July 28, 2008. He was born
in Atlanta, to the late Revel Freeman Bateman, Sr. and the late Nan Dean Wheeler Bateman. He served his country in the United States Navy on the USS Toledo during WWII. He was a member of Wesley Way United Methodist Church, enjoyed swimming, driving, and car races. He was preceded in death by a son, Todd Eugene Bateman and by a brother, Billy Lamar Bateman.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Jean R. Bateman of McDonough; sons, Nathan R. (Mary) Bateman of Hampton, Ted A. (Tina) Bateman of Harrison, Kent T. (Connie) Bateman of McDonough; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren; sister, Jeanette Kruse of Biloxi, Mississippi; nieces and nephews.
Services will be held July 30 from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Burgess officiating. Interment Haisten at Eastlawn Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation in memory of Mr. Bateman. Haisten Funeral Home, 770-914-8833, in charge of arrangements.
Grover Richard Davis
Mr. Grover Richard Davis, age 55, of Forsyth, Georgia died July 11, 2008. He was born
in Fayetteville, son of the late Howard Hullet and Hazel Karen Gowen Davis Shelley. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his brothers, Collis Davis and Daniel Allen Davis.
Mr. Davis is survived by his siblings, Dale Potts of McDonough, Herbert Davis of Alabama, Howard Davis of Stockbridge, Kerry Shelley of Decatur, Chuck Shelley of Decatur, Dorren Entrekin of Stockbridge, Linda McDonald of McDonough; and many nieces and nephews

Daniel Leon Hasbach
Mr. Daniel Leon Hasbach, age 59, of Locust Grove, Georgia died July 11, 2008. Mr. Hasbach was born
in Lake, Indiana, the son of the late Dorothy Dambach and Carl Hasbach. Mr. Hasbach served his country in combat in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict; he worked for the Washington D.C. police department for nine years, and was employed by Delta Airlines. He enjoyed motorcycling with his wife and friends, bird watching, astrology and was an avid reader. He was preceded in death by sisters, Nancy Petersen and Phyllis Blackwell.
Survivors are his wife, Revvie Hasbach of Locust Grove; brother-in-law, Max Petersen of Indiana; nieces and nephews, Brian Blackwell of Chicago, Larry Petersen, and Carl Petersen, Marty Petersen, Kim Petersen, all of Indiana, Karen Schreiver of Texas , Paul Blackwell and Ross Blackwell, both of Pennyslvania.
