Mr. Thomas F. Ball, 82, of 765 Oxford Road, died Thursday, July 2, 1998, at his residence.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of the Good Shepherd with the Rev. Robert Fain officiating.
Mr. Ball, a native of Dallas, was a retired U.S. Army colonel.
He served in World War II and in the Korean and Vietnam wars.
He was a recipient of the Legion of Merit, with two Oak Leaf Clusters and a Bronze Star, with one Oak Leaf Cluster.
He was a member of the Retired Officer's Association.
He was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, where he was on the vestry and was a junior warden. He attended the University of Maryland.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Summer Ball; two sons, Thomas W. Ball, Redwood City, Calif., and Carlton F. Ball, Nashville, Tenn.; and five grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Church of the Good Shepherd, 2230 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30904.
The family will receive friends at the Church of the Good Shepherd Parish House from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.

LINCOLNTON, Ga. -- Mr. Douglas E. Bowes, 57, of 181 School St., died Thursday, July 2, 1998, at Wills Memorial Hospital, Washington.
Services will be at a later date.
Mr. Bowes, a native of Greenport, N.Y., was a retired chef.
Survivors include his wife, Sally P. Bowes; two daughters, Joan Farrand, Long Island, N.Y., and Sally Corbett, Lincolnton; one sister, Susan Bowes, Long Island, and six grandchildren.

Mr. Troy E. ``Pa" Carroll Sr., 87, of 1916 Starnes St., died Tuesday, June 30, 1998, at Windermere Health Center.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Central Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial cemetery" target="_blank">Cemetery.
Mr. Carroll, a native of Metter, Ga., was a retired shift foreman and supervisor with Graniteville Mills, Sibley Division.
He was a member of Central Baptist Church.
The family said he was very devoted to his family and church.
Survivors include one son, Troy E. ``Buddy" Carroll Jr., Augusta; three daughters, Mildred Lowman, Augusta, Pauline Sauls, Grovetown, and Betty Lou Rowe, Waynesboro, Ga.; and 21 grandchildren and 55 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Robert ``Eddie" Carroll, Michael Kelly, Donnie Barton, Troy Rowe, Danny Seigler, Michael A. Carroll, Kerry Moyer, Dannie Barton and Marvin ``Eugene" Rowe.
Honorary pallbearers will be Central Baptist Church Deacons.

Mrs. McAdams, a native of Wilkinson County, was a retired employee of Central State Hospital.
