Antonia Amos
Mrs. Antonia “Mama Toni” Amos, age 71 of Locust Grove died Friday, August 22, 2008. She was born
in Puerto Rico to the late Rafael and Maria Guevara and was reared by the late Felix and Mercedes Menendez. She was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed life to the fullest. She taught dance lessons at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio in San Francisco; enjoyed yard sales and playing Texas Hold’em. She was preceded in death by brothers, Rafael Guevara, Jr. and Wilfred Guevara.
Survivors include her husband of 32 years, William “Bill” Amos of Locust Grove; children, Renee Salais of Lawrenceville, Lori Salais of Locust Grove, Anthony Salais of Locust Grove; grandchildren, Tiffany Lee Salais and Matt Haynes; siblings, Rose Lewis of Colorado, Candy Tirellia of Florida, and Ernesto Guevara; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services were held August 27 from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Pastor Steven Usry officiating. Interment Locust Grove Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Susan G. Kevin Brent Jordan
Mr. Kevin Brent Jordan, age 50, of McDonough, Georgia died August 24, 2008. Mr. Jordan was born
in Huntington West Virginia. He worked as a manager and meat cutter at Wholesale Foods. He enjoyed being with his family, fishing, socializing and being the comedian of the family. He was preceded in death by his father, Bobbie Lee Jordan and a brother, Bobby Lee Jordan, Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Sheila Jordan of McDonough; children, Tiffany Harper of Griffin, Brittany Rutherford of Lesage, West Virginia, Bobbie Jordan of Rockmart and Taylor Jordan of McDonough; mother, Grace Jordan Mallow of Barboursville, West Virginia; grandchildren, Logan Harper, Morgan Harper, Jake Harper, and Elliott Rutherford; brother, Dustan Jordan of Barboursville, West Virginia; sister, Patty Burdette of Newnan; several nieces and nephews.

Frank Hilliard Bailey, Sr.
Mr. Frank Hilliard Bailey, Sr., age 78, of McDonough, Georgia died August 25, 2008. Mr. Bailey was born
in Fitzgerald, the son of the late Louise Smith and William B. Bailey. He loved his God, country and family. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, gardening, and established a pecan ministry in his church. He served his country retiring as a Senior Mst. Sgt. from the US Air Force with 22 years of service receiving numerous medals as the Distinguish Flying Cross, National Defense Medal, American Defense Service, United Nations Medal, Outstanding Unit Award, Longevity Service Award, WWII Victory Medal and Korean War. Mr. Bailey also retired with 18 years of service with Southern Airways, Republic, and Northwest. He was a dedicated member of McDonough First United Methodist Church where he served in all areas of the church. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Isma Hendrick Bailey; sister, Mildred Shipp and stepfather, Otis Moore.
Survivors include his children, Laura Bailey Sullivan (Dan) of Wilmington, North Carolina, Frank H. Bailey, Jr. (Tanszy) of McDonough, and Janet Bailey Carter (Mike) of McDonough; grandchildren, Matthew R. Sullivan of Wilmington, North Carolina, Dr. Katie Sullivan Horne (B.J.) of Wilmington, North Carolina, Frank H. Bailey III of McDonough, McKenzy D. Bailey of Athens, Tanner H. Bailey, Laura K. Carter, and David M. Carter all of McDonough; siblings, William H. Bailey of Jonesboro, Margaret Moore Durham of Riverdale, Connie Moore Rayburn of Riverdale and Annie Kate Moore Grant of Shiloh.
Services were held August 28, at McDonough First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dana Everhart and Rev. Mack Riley officiating. Interment Haisten at Eastlawn Memorial Park. Janice Worley Moore
Mrs. Janice Worley Moore, age 65, of McDonough, Georgia died August 28, 2008. Mrs. Moore is the daughter of the late Rosa Lee Worley and William Worley. She was a member of Conley Baptist Church. She was a beautician who enjoyed socializing, and doing for others. Mrs. Moore was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed being with her grandchildren as they were her pride and joy. Her husband, Ralph Moore preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law; Melissa Moore Rodriguez and husband Ricardo of McDonough; grandchildren, Sebastian Rodriguez and Christian Rodriguez; several siblings, nieces and nephews.

Herbert David Wiley Sr.
Mr. Herbert David Wiley Sr., age 83, of McDonough, Georgia died August 29, 2008. Mr. Wiley was born
in Augusta, the son of the late Ida Florence Ward and Seaborn Claude Wiley. He was also known by family and friends as “Red.” He enjoyed carpentry, wrestling, gardening, writing and telling war stories. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who enjoyed his family. He loved his God and Church as a member of the New Covenant Church of God. He served his country in the US Army from 1944-1946 receiving Asiatic Pacific Service Medal with 1 Bronze Star, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with 1 Bronze Star, WWII Victory Medal and a Good Conduct Service Medal. Mr. Wiley was preceded in death by several siblings.
Survivors include his wife, Lennice J. Wiley of McDonough; children, Herb Wiley of Bostic, North Carolina, Ray Wiley of McDonough, Roger Wiley of Jackson, Gloria Lewis of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Barbara Price of Acworth, Verna Coppedge of McDonough, and Rachel Mc-Donald of Locust Grove; brother, J. W. Wiley of Augusta; sister, Frances Campbell of Augusta; 24 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Kathryn Standridge
Mrs. Kathryn "Kathy" Standridge, age 70, of Stockbridge, Georgia died August 30, 2008. She was born
in Charlotte, North Carolina to the late Frederick Adolphus Brooks and Kathleen Carson Brooks. Kathy loved to cook and was currently writing a cookbook. She was active in her church and prayer group at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church. She was a nurse for 23 years and was employed by Piedmont Hospital. Kathy graduated from Decatur High School Class of 1956.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Lee Standridge of Stockbridge; children Dana Ray, Teresa Kegley, Carol Hendrix, and Chris Montroy; three grandchildren Suzanne Kegley, Amarin and Thomas Montroy; sister; Sara Bartlett; and additional family members include Mrs. Robin Martinelli and Todd Standridge.
The Funeral Mass was held September 2 at St. James The Apostle Catholic Church with Father John Murphy officiating. Interment Decatur Cemetery. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
Etta Mae Lane Mayo
Mrs. Etta Mae “Bubba” Lane Mayo, age 87, of McDonough, Georgia died August 31, 2008. Mrs. Mayo was born
in Henry County, the daughter of the late Mallie “Buck” Lane. She worked for Dowling Textiles for over 20 years. She enjoyed watching sports on TV and watching her grandchildren play ball. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, John Ellis “Bill” Mayo Sr., a granddaughter, Karen McEver, and a brother, Joe Lane.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Ellis and Sherry Mayo of McDonough; brother, Mallie “Beanie” Lane of Austin, Texas ; grandchildren, Tamie and Donald Stiles, Dallas and Jessica Mayo, Terry and Tammy McEver and Kim Grinder; great grandchildren, Jordyn and Ryley Stiles, Lilly Mayo, Seth Evans, Danielle McEver, and Haylie Grinder.
