Peggy Jean Anglin Dennis
Mrs. Peggy Jean Anglin Dennis, age 52, of Mc-Donough, Georgia died September 14, 2008. Mrs. Dennis was born
in Fulton County and was a member of Landmark Baptist Church in Locust Grove. She worked as an administrative assistant before her illness. She was a loving wife, mother and friend who enjoyed reading, traveling and shopping. Her mother, Barbara Anglin preceded her in death.
Survivors are her husband, Brad Dennis of McDonough; children, Robin Dennis and Christopher Dennis of McDonough; father, G.C. Anglin of Peachtree City; brothers, Ronald Anglin of Peachtree City and Edward Anglin of Jonesboro; mother-in-law, Annette Dennis of Eatonton; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Angela Dennis of Conyers; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services for Mrs. Dennis will be held Wednesday, September 17 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Rev. David O’Steen and Mike Register officiating. Haisten Funeral Home of McDonough, 770-914-8833, in charge of arrangements.
Sean O'Neil Enlow
Mr. Sean O’Neil "Bulldawg" Enlow, age 34, of McDonough, Georgia died August 31. He was born
in Riverdale on December 19, 1973. He was a member of Hampton Baptist Church and had been employed at Southeastern Freight for 12 plus years. Sean lived and breathed Georgia Bulldawgs. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman and loved riding his motorcycle in the Georgia mountains. But most of all he was a great husband, father and son who loved his family.
Mr. Enlow is survived by his wife, Karen Brannon Enlow of McDonough; daughter, Bayley Danielle Enlow; parents, Wayne and Ola Enlow of Crescent City, Florida and Janet and Ed Lucas of Asbury, West Virginia; sister, Erika and Rob Lambright of Stockbridge; grandfather, Harmon Whitaker of Swansea, South Carolina; in-laws, Gary and Wanda Brannon of Hapeville; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services were held September 6 at the Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors with Rev. Buddy Perstrope officiating. Interment Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
Edna Earlene Thompson Bishop
Mrs. Edna Earlene Thompson Bishop, age 84, of McDonough, Georgia died September 1. Mrs. Bishop was born
in Bessemer, Alabama, the daughter of the late Annie Kirby and Frank Lee Thompson. Mrs. Bishop was a homemaker who enjoyed her family, TV, dining out and cooking when she was able. She was preceded in death by her husband William H. Bishop Sr., and brothers, William Frank Thompson and Stanley Lee Thompson.
Survivors include her children, Ann Ramey (Don) of Monticello and William H. Bishop, Jr. (Linda) of McDonough; seven grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Medlin and Jerri Thompson of Birmingham, Alabama; several nieces and nephews.

Mary Louise McClendon
Mrs. Mary Louise McClendon, age 87, of Stockbridge, Georgia died September 3, 2008. She was born
in Griffin to the late William Butner and Inez Grant Hardy. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Jack McClendon, Sr. Mrs. McClendon was a member of Stockbridge First United Methodist Church. She loved to knit and crochet.
Survivors include her sons, William Jack McClendon, Jr. of Stockbridge and Johnny E. McClendon of St. Simons Island; four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
Graveside services were held September 6 at Fairview Memorial Gardens with Rev. Herman Miller officiating. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
Michael Charles Smith
Michael Charles Smith of McDonough, Georgia died September 4, 2008. Mick was born
in DuQuoin, Illinois on April 1, 1947 to the late Michael Paul and Audre Elizabeth (nee Bigham) Smith of Pinckneyville, Illinois. He graduated from Murray State University. Mick deeply loved his family and friends, his job and his travel. He appreciated music, cooking, and was an avid golfer. He was a 32nd degree Mason. Mick’s big heart and ability to put others ahead of himself will be sorely missed by many loved ones, family and friends. He served over three years in the Air Force. Currently he was the Vice President of Human Resources at Fenner Dunlop in Atlanta. Mick married
Janelle Ann Hutchings on April 10, 1971 in Pinckneyville, Illi-nois.
Survivors include his wife, Janelle and their daughter, Rachel Elizabeth Smith of McDonough; close friend, Andrew Pottle; four “grand dogs” and one “grand cat” of Atlanta; brothers, Jack L. Smith and wife, Jean, of Sparta, Illinois and Richard P. Smith and wife, Judy, of Lakewood, Washington ; sister-in-law, Janet Amelunke and husband, Robert, of Summerfield, Florida; three nieces; four nephews; and thirteen great-nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Mick’s life will be held at Eagle’s Landing Country Club at 4:00 p.m. on Friday September 12. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any of the following organizations: Animal Action Rescue (animalactionrescue.org), American Cancer Society, and American Heart Association. Larry Jackson Dial, Jr.
Mr. Larry Jackson Dial, Jr., age 48, of Riverdale, Georgia died September 5, 2008. Mr. Dial was born
in Fulton County. He was a mechanic who enjoyed cars, fishing, NASCAR and stock car racing. His mother, Willie Mae Barnes Dial preceded him in death in 1985.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, Larry and Connie Dial of McDonough; fiancee’, Laura Doyle of Riverdale; sister, Beverly D. Tracy of Flowery Branch; step sisters, Theresa Gaffney of Cumming and Rita Martin of Dawsonville; step brother, Sgt. Russell E. Hardy of San Diego, California; ten nieces and nephews. George Ercell Strawn
Mr. George Ercell Strawn, age 101, of McDonough, Georgia died September 5, 2008. He was born
in Henry County to the late Franklin Braxton and Frances EllenAndrews Strawn. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mc-Donough where he was a member of the Gideons, a former member of the men's Bible class, a life member of the administrative board and served in numerous capacities at the church. He was an avid golfer, a past member of the McDonough Lion's Club, and formerly worked at Green Valley Golf Course. On his 100th birthday he received the Key to the City from the Mayor. Mr. Strawn was preceded in death by his wife, Irma Grace Strawn and daughter, Barbara Strawn Turner.
Survivors include his daughters, George Ann Crumbley, and Mary Jane (Buddy) Peeler, both of McDonough; nine grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were held September 7 at McDonough First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dana Everhart, Rev. Gary Demore, Dr. Phil Demore, and Rev. Mike Broome officiating. Interment Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to McDonough First United Methodist Church Building Fund, 151 Macon Street, McDonough, Georgia 30253. Charles Reece Hitchcock
Mr. Charles Reece Hitchcock, age 82, of Peachtree City, formerly of McDonough, died September 7, 2008. Charlie was born
in Macon, Georgia and was reared by the late George Dewey and Bertie Brisendine Hitchcock. He served his country in the United States Navy during WWII and retired from the Atlanta Fire Department, Station 7. Charlie enjoyed children and was known for having built an arena for 4-H on his McDonough farm. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Vivian Lancaster Hitchcock of Peachtree City; sons, Shane Hitchcock of Atlanta, Gary (Janie) Hitchcock of Lithia Springs; grandchildren, Cody Hitchcock of Colorado and Janie Hitchcock of Buckhead.
Services will be conducted Thursday, September 11 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Statham officiating. Interment Haisten at Eastlawn Memorial Park.
