ADRIAN, Ga. -- Mr. Eulie Earl Drake, 71, of Wrightsville, died Wednesday, June 17, 1998, at Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Dublin.

Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Poplar Springs Methodist Church.

Mr. Drake, a native of Johnson County, worked for the Oscar Meyer company and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include a brother, Billy Drake, Tolland, Conn.; a sister, Betty Powell, Augusta; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Friday at Richard and Stanley Joyce Funeral Home Inc.

Mrs. Cora Connor

Mrs. Cora Myers Connor, 96, of Martinez, died on Tuesday, June 16, 1998, at University Hospital.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Thomas L. King Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. W.E. Croft Jr. officiating. Burial will be in West View cemetery" target="_blank">Cemetery.

Mrs. Connor, a native of Orangeburg, S.C., was a homemaker and a member of Kiokee Baptist Church.

The family said she was a wonderful mother and grandmother and was loved by all who knew her.

Survivors include four sons; T.J. Connor, Tampa, Fla., Luther ``Booster" Connor, Martinez, Ned Connor, Grovetown, and George ``Toe Joe" Connor, Waynesboro; four daughters, Connie Hill, Dearing, Lee Driver, Hiawassee, Jonnie Murphy, Thomson, and Gloria Crosby, Grovetown; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Robert Cleckley Jr.

GRANITEVILLE -- Mr. Robert ``Robbie" Cleckley Jr., 48, of 271 Crystal Springs Road, died Wednesday, June 17, 1998, at University Hospital.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 19, 1998, at Clearwater First Baptist Church, Clearwater, S.C., with the Rev. John Bolin officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens.

Mr. Cleckley, a native of Augusta, was a terminal manager for Southeastern Freight Line. He was a 1967 graduate of Langley Bath Clearwater High School. He was a member of Clearwater First Baptist Church where he had served as a teacher of the Joy Sunday School Class.

Survivors include his wife, Maxine S. Cleckley; a son, Todd Cleckley, Boca Raton, Fla.; two daughters, Brandi Clark and Brooke Cleckley, both of Clearwater; a sister, Deanna T. Atkinson, North Augusta; a brother, John Terry, Summerville; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Alan Golden, Phillip Pridgen, Greg Norris, Gary Herndon, Chad Prince and Glenn Luke.

Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Southeastern Freight Lines.

Memorials may be made to Clearwater First Baptist Church, Building Fund, P.O. Drawer B, Clearwater, SC 29822.

Friends may call at the residence.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Hatcher Funeral Home, Langley.

Mrs. Alice Bodell Bresnahan, 90, of 2627 Walton Way, died Wednesday, June 17, 1998, at Kentwood Nursing Home.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary On The Hill Catholic Church with the Rev. Andrew Doris officiating. Burial will be in Westover Memorial Park.

Mrs. Bresnahan, a native of Savannah, was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary On The Hill Catholic Church.

Survivors include five nephews, John B. Weigle Sr., and Philip G. Weigle, both of Augusta; Charles H. Weigle, Greenville, S.C., Joseph Bresnahan, Edisto Beach, S.C. and James Bresnahan, Atlanta; and four nieces, Anne Marie Fair and Patricia Kelleher, both of Augusta, Miriam Siwinski, Towson, Md., and Clara Bresnahan, Shreveport, La.

A vigil will be held at 7 p.m. today at Platt's Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Oswald was the owner of Oswald Motor Co. and was a member of First Baptist Church of Allendale.

Survivors include his wife, Eunice T. Oswald; one son, Alfred Bryan Oswald Jr., Columbia; two daughters, Suzanne Oswald Cordray and Tessier Oswald, both of Allendale; two brothers, James Lawton Oswald, Aiken, and John Shorten Oswald, Allendale; and two grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Turner Stribling; one son, Mike Stribling, McCormick, S.C.; two daughters, Carolyn Crook, Lincolnton, and JoAnn Wheatley, Washington; and six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mr. Walden, a native of Glascock County, was a pipe fitter.

Survivors include one daughter, Tamara W. May, Warrenton; his mother, Eloise Dixon Walden, Gibson, and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Gary Walden, Larry Walden, Elvin Williford, Wilbur Williford, Frank Williford and Jay Dixon.

WAYNESBORO, Ga. -- Mrs. Carolyn R. Walker, 40, of 1107 Gresham Road, died Monday, June 15, 1998, at Burke County Hospital.

The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Murphy Ebenezer Baptist Church, Girard, with the Rev. G.W. Dixon officiating. Burial will be in Rouse Memorial Garden, Keysville.

Mrs. Walker, a native of Burke County, was a deputy sheriff for McDuffie County. She served in the U.S. Army from 1976 to 1988. She was a member of Murphy Ebenezer Baptist Church, where she served on the usher board.

The family said, ``We will always miss her. We are all better people because of her generosity, knowledge and unconditional love."

Survivors include her mother, Naomi Rouse, Keysville; one son, Gabriel Hyche, Keysville; nine brothers, Thomas Harrison, Hephzibah, Henry L. Rouse, Fayetteville, N.C., Zadworney Rouse, Waynesboro, Nathaniel Rouse and Hershel Rouse, both of Augusta, McArthur Rouse and Hugh Rouse, Keysville, Timothy Rouse and Ronald Rouse, Atlanta; four sisters, Pauline R. Hankerson, Hephzibah, and Marva Rouse, Hattie R. Wimberly and Florence Rouse, all of Keysville.

Pallbearers will be Nathaniel Rouse, Zadworney Rouse, Henry Rouse, Thomas R. Harrison, Timothy Rouse, Hugh Rouse, McArthur Rouse and Hershel Rouse.

Honorary pallbearers will be the McDuffie and Burke County Sheriff departments.

Mrs. Williams, a native of Allendale County, was a member of Springfield Baptist Church where she was president of the Senior Choir and a member of the Deaconess board. She was also president of the South Carolina chapter of the Social Club.

Survivors include her husband, Bennie Williams Sr.; one daughter, Barbara Simmons, Allendale; five sons, Edward Simmons, Ricky Williams, Bennie Williams Jr., all of Allendale; Alfonza Simmons, Estill, and John Simmons, Barnwell; five brothers, Nickie Taylor Jr., Calvin Taylor, Jake Taylor and William Taylor, all of Allendale, and Wyman Taylor, Savannah. Also four sisters; Anna Weaver, Cora Lee Taylor and Bertha McMillian, all of Allendale, and Julia Walker, Jersey City, N.J.; 21 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
