Randall R. Rockwood
Mr. Randall R. Rockwood, age 87, of McDonough, Georgia formerly of Schenectady, New York died September 7, 2008. Mr. Rockwood was born
in New York the son of the late Auristela Castro and Randall Hammond Rockwood. A son, Ralph W. Rockwood and brothers, Robert and Ralph Rock-wood also preceded him in death. Mr. Rockwood was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who was an outdoorsman, he was an avid fly fisherman, and known for his story telling. He served his country in the US Army Air Corp, as the lead navigator and assistant Radar Officer and Bombardier on B29 planes for 12 combat missions over the Japanese Empire and two prisoner of war missions, responsible for all navigation and radar runs on these missions on Saipan. He served in the 498th Bomber Group and 875 Bomber Squadron in the Pacific. Mr. Rockwood graduated from the University of Michigan before beginning his Engineering career in Sewell, Chile for Braden Copper. He continued his engineering career with General Electric over the next 30 years in New York and in Chile before retiring.
Survivors include his loving wife, Alicia Benitez Rockwood of McDonough; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Mary Rockwood of McDonough; grandchildren, Mark Rock-wood and Marisa Rockwood of McDonough; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held September 13 at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church with Rev. Michelle Rawdin officiating. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Shriners Children’s Hospital. Haisten Funeral Home, 770-914-8833, in charge of arrangements.
Joey Daniel Wright
Mr. Joey Daniel Wright, age 37, of Atlanta passed away September 9, 2008. He was born
in DeKalb County to John William and Kitty Ann Webb Wright. Joey was formerly a carpenter who enjoyed music, computers, his car and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his mother, Kitty Wright of Atlanta; father, John Wright of Locust Grove; sister, Christy (Erick) Rodriguez of Locust Grove; nieces and nephews, Camellia Rodriguez, Jordan Goolsby, Andrew Goolsby, and Alyssa Rodriguez; special cousin, Billy Sweeten; aunts, uncles, and other cousins.

Tracey McCoy Strickland
Mrs. Tracey McCoy Strickland, age 45, of Locust Grove died September 10. Tracey was born
in Atlanta to Tim D. and Alice V. Puckett McCoy. She attended New Hope United Methodist Church and was employed with In Health Medical Billing. She recently became a representative with Primerica Financial Services. Tracey enjoyed the outdoors, was an animal lover and enjoyed fishing. She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Olin and Della Puckett.
Survivors include her husband of 18 years, Alan Strickland of Locust Grove; parents, Alice and Tim McCoy of Rex; father in law, Harold Strickland of Hampton.

Ethel Tidwell
Mrs. Ethel Tidwell, age 91, of McDonough, Georgia, formerly of LaGrange, died September 10, 2008. She was born
in West Point, Georgia to the late Brodie Duke and Robbie Pepper Miller. Mrs. Tidwell was the organist at United Congregational Christian Church and a pink lady at West Georgia Medical Center. She retired from Milliken Industries (Kex Plant). She was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis C. Tidwell, Sr.
Survivors include her daughter, Amy Penn and husband Bob of McDonough; son, Hollis C. Tidwell, Jr., of Colorado; six grandchildren, Laurie Aldridge and husband, Andrew, Buddy Beck and wife, Denise, Renee Wolfinger and husband, Jared, Trey Tidwell and wife, Tanil, Robin Race and husband, Craig, Tammy Howe and husband, Raymond; 11 great-grandchildren, Adam and Blake Aldridge, Kasey and William Beck, Nathan and Daysha Wolfinger, Allison, Madison, and Garrett Howe, and Lauren and Cameron Race.
Services were held September 12 at Shadowlawn Cemetery

Hubert Eugene Quay
Mr. Hubert Eugene Quay, age 72, of McDonough, Georgia died September 10, 2008. He was born
in Toledo, Ohio to the late Walter Blake and Ellen McArthur Quay. He served our country with the U.S. Army and was a woodworker. He enjoyed the times with his neighbors telling stories of hunting and fishing. Mr. Quay was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo Quay in 2007.
Mr. Quay was the last member of his family. There are no survivors.

Manny Crumbley
Mr. Manny Crumbley, age 89, of McDonough, Georgia died September 11, 2008. He was born
in the Kelleytown community to the late Manson Marcus Crumbley, Sr. and Elon Kelley Crumbley. Mr. Crumbley was a member of Kelley Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed watching the Braves and Bulldogs and talking about old times in Kelleytown; however most important to him were his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Crumbley.
Survivors include his son, Charlie Crumbley and wife, Donna of McDonough; daughter, Louise Minich of Jonesboro; seven grandchildren, Scott Long, Jim Long, Mike Crumbley, Allen Long, David Long, Kelly Powell and Casey Crumbley; ten great grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister-in-law, Margaret Crumbley of McDonough; brother-in-law, Jack Barnette of Marietta; several nieces and nephews.

Carolyn Head Dalton
Mrs. Carolyn Head Dalton, age 80, of McDonough, Georgia died September 14, 2008. Mrs. Dalton was born
in Dekalb County, the daughter of the late Marion Corinne Nesmith and Clarence Willard Head Sr. Mrs. Dalton was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed her family, crossword puzzles, reading, flowers and crafts. She was a member of McDonough Christian Church. Mrs. Dalton retired with 38 plus years of service with the Department of Defense as an administrative assistant.
She is survived by her husband, Bob F. Dalton of McDonough; children, Gayle and Bill Mann of Fredericks-burg, Virginia, Kathy and Dwight Snyder of McDon-ough, Ginny and Ray Frizzell, Jr. of McDonough and Debbie and Doug Scott of Newnan; grandchildren, Christina and Gary Williams of Fredericks-burg, Virginia, Teresa Thomp-son of Fredericksburg, Vir-ginia, Bill and Kendra Mann of Mechanicsville, Virginia, Steve and Annie Snyder of McDonough, Rebecca and Oscar Smith of Hampton, Paul Snyder of McDonough, Jonathan Snyder of McDonough, Ray Frizzell III of McDonough, Josh Frizzell of McDonough, Brittany Scott of Newnan, Douglas Scott III of Ft. Campbell, Kentucky and Raven and James Prestridge of Lanette , Alabama and nine great grandchildren.
