VALDOSTA, Ga. -- Mr. Elliott J. Margone, 71, died Monday, June 8, 1998, at the Heritage House.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Bethel United Methodist Church cemetery" target="_blank">Cemetery with the Rev. Robert C. McKee Jr. officiating.
Mr. Margone, a native of New York, was a retired vending technician with Savannah Amusement Services and an Army veteran. He was a member of Assembly of God Church, Savannah.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy McNeely Margone; two sons, Murry Margone, San Jose, Calif., and Hubert H. Mims Jr., St. Peters, Mo.; one sister, Pearl Palmer, Beaufort, S.C.; and 10 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary, Swainsboro.

Mrs. Hooper, a native of Dutton, Ark., was a furniture upholsterer with Hooper Furniture.
Survivors include her husband, James I. Hooper; one son, Robert Hooper, Grovetown; two daughters, Jimmie Hooper, Grovetown, and Jane Baker, Dearing; and 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Mr. Christopher David Carter, 24, of 507 Walker St., died Monday, June 8, 1998, in Augusta.

Mr. Carter, a native of Fort Knox, Ky., was a 1991 graduate of Augusta Christian School and a member of Vineyard Christian Fellowship.
