SPARTA, Ga. -- Mrs. Madeleine Sophia Brown Hutchinson, 95, of 101 E. Hamilton St., died Sunday, May 31, 1998, at her residence.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Patterson Funeral Home with the Revs. Merry E. Porter and George B. Owens officiating. Burial will be in Sparta cemetery" target="_blank">Cemetery.
Mrs. Hutchinson, a native of Hancock County, was a homemaker. She was a graduate of Georgia State College for Women, Milledgeville, and had taught in North Carolina schools for several years. She was a member of Gaissert Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Leonora H. Earl, Sparta; a sister, Zoe Brown Harley, Sparta; and three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jason Moon, W. Julian Harley, Donald Garrett Jr., William Garrett, Dwight G. Harley, Marion Brown Veazey, John L. Veazey and John W. Harley.
Memorials may be made to Gaissert Methodist Church, Hancock County.

Mrs. Matthews, a native of Wilkes County, was a longtime resident of the Delhi Community. She was a homemaker and a member of Beulah Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, James E. Harper, Tignall, and Clarence M. Harper, Washington; a daughter, Edna H. Blakey, Tignall; and nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Harper Terry Blakey, Jeffery Blakey, Dennis Harper, Ronnie Harper and Bruce Lamar.

Mr. Phillips, a native of Lyons, Ga., had retired from the Graniteville Co. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Rodrigues, a native of Sacramento, Calif., had lived in Hephzibah since 1983, and was a longtime resident of Ventura, Calif. She had retired as a legal secretary, and was a former secretary for the Sacramento Engineering Department. She was a member of San Buenaventura Mission Catholic Church.
