Mr. Gene W. Cole, age 65 of Stockbridge, Georgia died September 29, 2008. Gene was born
in Tampa, Florida to the late Aubrey Warrangton and Rosa Estelle Fast Cole. Gene retired from AT&T. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Jean Howard Cole and a brother, Daniel Lee Cole. Survivors include his children, Mary (Francisco) Cabasag of Stockbridge and Jason (Amanda) Cole of Stockbridge; grandchildren, Angel M. Cabasag and Whitney A. Annie Lou Haney
Mrs. Annie Lou Haney, age 91, of Stockbridge, Georgia died September 30, 2008. She was born
in Walton County to the late Joel Washington and Nancy Samantha Noyles Foster. Mrs. Haney was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Paul Haney. Survivors include her children, Annette Haney Warren of McDonough, Charles (Bobbie Jean) Haney of Social Circle, Lewis (Rita) Haney of Good Hope, Wayne (Nita) Haney of Locust Grove; 15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Raleigh G. Moseley
Mr. Raleigh G. Moseley, of Stockbridge, Georgia died September 30, 2008. He was born
April 19, 1917 to the late Robert L. (Bob) and Lollie Bryans Moseley. He was a long time member and former elder of Stockbridge Presbyterian Church and was former chairman and one of the original stockholders of The First State Bank of Stockbridge. He served as District Manager of the Atlanta Division of J.B. Withers Tobacco Company and was President of Mostok, Inc., a real estate development Company in Stockbridge. He was former mayor and councilman of Stockbridge and served on the downtown development authority. He also was an avid golfer and considered his "hole-in-one" made at the Green Valley Golf Course in McDonough as one of his greatest accomplishments. Mr. Moseley was preceded in death by his wife, Cornelia Turner Moseley; daughter, Susan Moseley Reed; brothers, Sam, Robert L. Jr. (Bo), Bill, Lamar, Cecil, and sister, Betty Sauls. Survivors include his brother, Charles Moseley of Stockbridge; grandson, David Alan Reed of Atlanta; granddaughter, Christie Reed Faires of Augusta; and son-in-law, Charles D. Reed of Sylvania. Services were held October 3 at the Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors with Rev. Pem Cooley officiating. Interment Burke Cemetery. Henrietta Foster Starr
Henrietta Foster Starr, age 87, of Jonesboro, Georgia died October 2, 2008. She was born
March 14, 1921 in McDonough to the late John Tinsley and Virginia Irene Glass Bryans. She was a homemaker and a member of Flippen United Methodist Church. What she loved most was to cook for her family. Mrs. Starr was preceded in death by her husbands, George P. Foster and Milton T. Starr. Survivors include her children, Kendall (Dianne) Foster of Jonesboro, Ronald (Carol) Foster of Gainesville, Patricia Whitaker of McDonough, Virginia (Leon) Forrer, of McDonough, and George Foster of Dallas; special niece, Vicki Smith; nine grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Ernestine Sargent of LaFayette, Louisiana; brother, Robert Bryans of Greenville, South Carolina; numerous nieces and nephews. William (Bilbo) Evans
Mr. William (Bilbo) Evans, age 81, of McDonough, Georgia, formerly of Hapeville, died October 3, 2008. He was born
in Hapeville to the late Charles T. and Elizabeth C. Evans. He was a member of St. Joseph's Episcopal Church, McDonough.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 55 years, Marjie Evans of McDonough; sons, David Evans of Canton; Patrick Evans of McDonough, and Paul Evans of Hollow Rock, Tennessee; daughter, Teresa (Terry) Evans Burns of Stockbridge; 10 grandchildren, and sister, Mary “Tut” Estes of Atlanta. Rose Hand Coker Patrick
Mrs. Rose Hand Coker Patrick, age 91 of Hampton, Georgia died October 4, 2008. She was born
in Hampton to the late Henry Holcomb and Lora Lee Brown Hand. She retired after 35 years with Southern States and had operated the former Hampton Beauty Salon. Rose was a member of the Hampton First United Methodist Church and had been active in the United Methodist Women. She had been a member of the church since 1931. Rose enjoyed playing Bridge, a club she helped form many years ago in Hampton. She was preceded in death by husbands, Oscar Newton Coker and William David Patrick and by three sisters and one brother. Survivors include her daughters, Elaine Coker (Charles H.) Daniel of Hampton, Cynthia Rose Coker of Lake Forest, IL, Deborah Coker (Kenneth) McCombs of Snellville; eleven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two step-sons; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, October 6, 2008 at 2:00 PM from the Hampton First United Methodist Church. Rev. Mark Burgess will officiate. Interment will follow at Berea Cemetery. Rose will lie in state thirty minutes prior to the service. Friends may visit the family Sunday from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Raymond Lamar Chandler, Sr.
Mr. Raymond Lamar Chandler, Sr., age 56, of Stockbridge, Georgia died October 5, 2008. He was born
in Atlanta to the late William Francis and Mamie Viola Watts Chandler. He was a veteran in the U.S. Army serving in the Vietnam conflict.
Survivors include his children, Tiffany Gail Chandler, Raymond Lamar Chandler, Jr. and grandson, Cody Raymond Chandler, all of McDonough; brothers, Perry Chandler of Conyers and Joe Chandler of McDonough; sisters, Fran Colbert of Eustis, Florida and Sue Klinger of Macon; his best friend, Bonnie Grant of Stockbridge; and his four-legged companion, Tippy. Mrs. Elizabeth Kilpatrick, age 96, formerly of McDonough, Georgia died October 5, 2008. Survivors include a daughter: Jean Presnell and husband Leland of Burnsville, North Carolina; grandson, Tim Presnell and wife Lauren; two great grandsons, Riley and Connor Presnell all of Stockbridge and a sister Gwen Konetzko of Brunswick: several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held October 8, at Camp Memorial Park in Fayetteville with Father Barry Griffin officiating. Mr. Frank D. Statham, age 71, of McDonough, Georgia died Sunday, October 5, 2008. He was born
in Manchester to the late Carl Tillman and Rosella Smith Statham. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Lesa Marie Parris. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Mary Ann Statham; daughters, Laura (David) Parris of Locust Grove and Kim (Andy) Powell of McDonough; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and sister, Betty Steele of Vonore, Tennessee.
Graveside services will be held October 8 at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens with Dr. Frank Crump-ler officiating. in Henry County to the late Jessie H. and Cora O. Phillips. Mrs. Latimer was preceded in death by husband, Thomas A. Latimer and siblings, Alton W. Phillips, Karon Swinney, Lovic G. Phillips, Mary Nell Lietch, Charles J. (Buddie) Phillips, Ann P. Austin, James G. (Bud) Phillips, H. O. (Chick) Phillips, and Jack Q. Phillips.
Survivors include her son, Charles Edward Taylor, Jr.; grandchildren, Jeff Taylor and Christy Kuhn; three great grandchildren; sister, Martha P. Chick; several nieces and nephews.
