Cleo Elliott Crumbley
Mrs. Cleo Elliott Crumbley, age 95, of McDonough, Georgia died October 7, 2008. She was born
in Henry County to the late George Ernest and Clara Belle Fargason Elliott. Mrs. Crumbley was a member of Salem Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hiram Richard Crumbley. Survivors include her daughter, Claire Crumbley Durham and grandaughter, Meghan Hollis, both of McDonough; sister, Julia McLeod of Morrow; several nieces and nephews. Services were held October 10 at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery

Sandra Rebecca Hurndon
Mrs. Sandra Rebecca Hurndon, age 67, of Stockbridge, Georgia died October 7, 2008. She was born
in Atlanta to the late Clyde and Ella Jean Beck Noland. She was a member of Glen Haven Baptist Church. Mrs. Hurndon enjoyed crafts, making jewelry by hand and cooking. But most important to her was her God and family.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph S. Hurndon of Stockbridge; sons, Clyde (Beverly) Hurndon and Jeff (Judy) Hurndon, both of McDonough; daughter, Karen (Robbie) Cofer of Stockbridge; ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; brothers, Alan Lanier of Williamson and Rodney Lanier, of Opelika, Alabama; sisters, Teresa Adkins of Louisa, Kentucky and Karen Rogers of Griffin; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held October 9 at Glen Haven Baptist Church with Rev. Ralph Easterwood and others officiating. Interment Fairview Memorial Gardens. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
Georgina (Betty) Miller
Mrs. Georgina (Betty) Miller, age 83, of Stockbridge, Georgia died October 8, 2008. She was born
in Ottawa, Canada to George and Lillie Brooktrout Middlemiss. Mrs. Miller was a member of Stockbridge First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Edward Miller.
Survivors include her son, Rickey (Melanie) Miller of Griffin; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brother, Eric Middlemiss of Ottawa, Canada.
Services were held October 10 at the Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors with Rev. Jim McRae officiating. Interment Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
Paul W. Alfele
Mr. Paul W. Alfele, age 66, of Hampton, Georgia died October 11, 2008. He was born
in Dayton, Ohio to the late Fred H. and Frances Belle McFarlane Alfele. Paul was retired from Delta Airlines after 26 years as a Senior Customer Service representative. He was a fisherman, a woodworker, a private pilot, and enjoyed working with Meals on Wheels. He was an active member of the McDonough Presbyterian Church where he sang in the choir. His greatest devotion was to his family. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Judy Alfele of Hampton; children, Stanley and Kristie Alfele Cole of Ellijay, Ben and Kari Alfele Pack of Gainesville, and Matthew Alfele and Meghan Marino, both of Charlotte, North Carolina; grandchildren, Lauren, Jenna, Ethan and Ellis; brothers, Fred and Pat Alfele of Atlantis, Florida and Jim and Nancy Green of Columbus, Indiana; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM on October 15 at McDonough Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dudley Rose and Rev. Rachael Knoll officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the McDonough Presbyterian Church Music Department, P.O. Box 652, McDonough, Georgia 30253. J. B. Batchelor
Mr. J. B. Batchelor, age 83, of McDonough, Georgia, formerly of Milledgeville, Georgia, died October 11, 2008. He was born
in Eatonton to the late Jeffrey and Mamie Black Batchelor. J.B. was an avid reader, Braves fan and Georgia Bulldog fan. He followed his son all over the state while Keith was playing and coaching. Most important to him was his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine in 1996.
Survivors include his son, Keith Batchelor of McDonough; grandchildren, Kerri Batchelor and Corey Batchelor; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held October 15 at Eagle's Landing First Baptist Church with Dr. Tim Dowdy officiating. Interment Memory Hill Cemetery

Tarver Holmes
Mr. Tarver Holmes, age 76, of Stockbridge, Georgia died October 11, 2008. He was born
in Calhoun to the late Columbus Eugene and Lilly Martin Holmes.
Survivors include his sister, Alma Huffman of Stockbridge; brother, Roy Holmes of McDonough; several nieces and nephews.

Ruby Fincher Morgan
Mrs. Ruby Fincher Morgan, age 93, of Palmetto, Georgia, formerly of McDonough, died October 11, 2008. She was born
in Henry County, the daughter of the late Eunice Haynes and Claude Lumpkin Fincher. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed being with her family, cooking, and working in her flower garden, doing cross stitch, sewing and reading. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church and a prior member of Sardis Baptist Church. Her husband, Horace Lee Morgan, and brothers, Raymond Fincher and Robert Fincher preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children, Yvonne Ragan (Mack) of Conyers, Linda Morgan of McDonough, Dianne Collins (Donald) of Florida; grandchildren, Jerry Ragan (Kim), Glen Ragan (Jan), Debbie Exum (Duane), Brad Scruggs (Amanda), Cori Calik (Michael); great grandchildren, Katie Ragan, Kyle Ragan, Daniel Ragan, Erica Exum, Evan Exum, Thomas Exum, Adam Exum, Abby Scruggs, Caitlyn Cofer, Megan Calik, and Ryan Calik.

Mrs. Nedra Pye Barnes, age 78, of McDonough, Georgia died, September 29, 2008. She was born
in Fayetteville to the late Gene and Corine Alred Pye. Mrs. Barnes was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis John Barnes. Survivors include her sons, Rick (Elain) Barnes of Stockbridge, Scott (Freida) Barnes, and Ted Barnes, both of McDonough; grandchildren, Michelle Barnes, Holly Barnes Roberts, Christopher Barnes, Kathryn Barnes, Aaron Jones and Blair Ivey; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Dylan, and GraceAnn Roberts, Brenon and Eli Jones, Caroline and Garrett Ivey; brothers, Alfred (Betty) Pye of LaGrange and Kenneth (Kathryn) Pye of Jonesboro; sister, Barbara Anderson of Powder Springs; and brother-in-law, William Fred Barnes of Conyers Services were held October 2, at the Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors with Rev.
