Luis Antonio Torres
Mr. Luis Antonio Torres, age 86, of Union City, Georgia passed away November 11, 2008. Mr. Torres was born
in Ponce, Puerto Rico, the son of the late Aeropagita Zambrana and Juan Torres. Mr. Torres served his country in the US Army during WWII earning the American Theater Service Medal, WWII Victory Metal, Good Conduct Medal, and four overseas Service Bars. He worked as a comptroller for a nonprofit organization; he served as a president for two terms for the Pan American Lions Club in New York. He is survived by his wife, Estella Torres of Union City; children, Hecter Torres of Puerto Rico and Marlene Torres of Hampton; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service for Mr. Torres was held November 13, at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough with Rev. Samuel Phillips officiating. Perry DuPre, Jr
Perry DuPre, Jr, age 73, of Locust Grove, Georgia died November 15, 2008. He was born
in Morganton, North Carolina to the late Perry and Aura Mae Summerour DuPre, Sr. Mr. DuPre was a 1953 graduate from the Henry Grady High School. He continued those high school relationships over the years and always assisted in planning the class reunions. Perry served his country and retired from the United States Navy and later retired from the Department of Transportation. Mr. DuPre was a member of the County Line Baptist Church in Jenkinsburg. Most important to him was his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Mr. DuPre is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lounette DuPre, his children, Perry DuPre, III of Locust Grove and Susan (David) Frank of McDonough; granddaughters, Caitlyn M. Herring of Eatonton, Rebecca L. Frank and Allison P. Frank of McDonough; and sister, Nancy Hassan of Chamblee.
Funeral services were held on November 18 at The Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors with Rev. Robert Ballew officiating. Interment Sherwood Memorial Park. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
William Jack Hawkins
Mr. William Jack Hawkins, age 48, of McDonough, Georgia died November 2, 2008. He was preceded in death by his father, Weldon Jack Hawkins.
Survivors include his mother, Judy Galik of Fayetteville, North Carolina; sister, Deborah (Billy) Nichols of McDonough; brother, Jeffery (Dina) Hawkins of Eldorado, Arkansas; son, Billy (Teresa) Hawkins; three grandchildren, Austin, Alex and Elekra Hawkins, all of Alabama.
Services were held November 7 at the Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors with Rev. Doug Ledford officiating. Interment Fairview Memorial Gardens. Colvin Crumbley
Mr. Colvin Crumbley, age 74, of Stockbridge, Georgia died November 4, 2008. He was born
in McDonough to the late Jim Peek and Lillian Mae Elliott Crumbley. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church where he worked in the Children’s Ministry. He served in the United States Army and retired from Gulf/Chevron Corp. in 1986 and again in 1999 from Lanier Worldwide. He collected and refinished antiques and enjoyed traveling, visiting six different continents. He was a man of compassion, always wanting to help someone else. Most of all he was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years Sarah Frances (Burch) Crumbley of Stockbridge; children, Jonathan (Paula) Crumbley and Jill (Jay) Fowler, both of McDonough; grandchildren, Sarah, Luke, Caroline and Ryan; siblings, Sam Crumbley of Sandy Springs, and Eddy Crumbley of McDonough.
Services were held November 7 at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Swafford and Rev. Rick Statham officiating. Interment Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Floyd Edward Lyons, Jr
Mr. Floyd Edward Lyons, Jr., age 81, of McDonough, Georgia died November 4, 2008. Mr. Lyons was born
in Fulton County, the son of the late Ida Louise Anderson and Floyd Edward Lyons, Sr. Mr. Lyons served his country in the US Navy from 1945 to 1947 as an aviation machinist’s mate. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church and the Salem choir where he enjoyed singing. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed his family, golf, traveling, singing, and all sports. He was preceded in death by a sister, Jackie Hasty.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lyons of McDonough; children, Vivian Elliott (Charles) of Alpharetta, Birchard “Pete” Lyons (Rita) of McDonough, Amelia “Amy” Ricketson (Tom) of Hiawassee; stepchildren, Shirley Lyons, Elaine Shaw
(Danny), David Hood (Marsha), and Steve Hood (Robin), all of McDonough; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; two nieces.
Services were held November 6 at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Statham and Roger Waters officiating. Interment Haisten at Eastlawn Memorial Park. Daryl Dean Campbell
Mr. Daryl Dean Campbell, age 39, of McDonough, Georgia died November 5, 2008. Daryl was born
in Genesee, Michigan. He graduated from Bentley High School Class of 1987. He was employed by Henry County as a mechanic. He was a member of Avalon Church, he was a loving husband, father, son and brother who enjoyed hunting and cooking.
Survivors include wife, Toni Rushing Campbell of McDonough; children, Brittany Camp-bell of Hiram, Brooke Campbell and Brett Thomas Campbell of McDonough; mother and step father, Dottie Campbell Fletcher (Arnold) of Flint, Michigan; father and step mother, Owen Campbell (Ann) of North Port, Florida; sister, Deborah Arnesen (Kevin) of Burton, Michigan; step siblings, DeLisa (David) Tucker of Mt. Morris, Michigan, Don Neil of California, Ramona Scherba, Dwight Fletcher of Michigan, and Kim Rasch of Nevada; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Charles Hughlon Hutcheson
Mr. Charles Hughlon Hutcheson, age 75, of McDonough, Georgia died November 7, 2008. He was born
in Riverdale to the late Frank and Ethel Campbell Hutcheson. Charles was a member of Salem Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He enjoyed gardening, cutting his grass, and traveling. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Keith Hutcheson.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Duke Hutcheson of McDonough; daughter, Starr Hutcheson of McDonough; grandchildren, Kiefer Hutcheson, Victoria Hutcheson, both of McDonough, Terin Shedd of Fayetteville; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Hutcheson of Fayetteville; brother, Everett Hutch-eson of Riverdale; nephews, Jerry Hutcheson of Stockbridge, Danny Hutcheson of Fayetteville; nieces, Carol Mc-Laughlin of Stockbridge, Susan Harris of McDonough, Elaine White of Peachtree City, Diane Chavis of Orlando, Florida, Cheryl Ann Bradley of Fayetteville.
