Frances D. Hearn
Mrs. Frances D. Hearn, age 81, of Stockbridge, Georgia died November 27, 2008. She was born
in Phil Campbell, Alabama to the late Sidney Thomas and Lela Arie Carden Daniel. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church. Mrs. Hearn was preceded in death by her brother, Seaburn Daniel.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Henry Hearn of Stockbridge; children, Morris Hearn of Stockbridge, Brenda Hearn of Pell City, Alabama, Charlie Hearn of Bithlow, Florida, Philip Hearn of Oveido, Florida, Joy (Hearn) Morgan of Stockbridge, Gary Hearn of Rex; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; siblings, Goldie Kirkpatrick of Springville, Alabama, Lee Daniel of Gadsden, Alabama, Susan (Hearn) Loftis of Mims, Florida.
Services were held December 3 at Bible Baptist Church with Pastor Brad Blanton officiating. Interment Fairview Memorial Gardens. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
George A. Kelly, Sr.
George A. Kelly, Sr., age 91, of McDonough, Georgia died December 1, 2008. He was born
in Norcross to the late Armer and Bertie Richardson Kelly. Mr. Kelly was also preceded in death by his wives, Mabel Kelly and Vera Kelly, son, Ralph Kelly and grandson, David Kelly.
Survivors include his children, George A. (Kay) Kelly, Jr., Becky (Wayne) Allgood, and Ronnie Kelly, all of McDonough, Roger Williams of Douglasville, and Mike (Judy) Williams of Fayetteville; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 4, at the Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors. Interment College Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 3, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
Laura Farr Hosey
Laura Farr Hosey, age 58, of McDonough, Georgia died November 14, 2008. She was born
in Atlanta, daughter of the late Fred Nathaniel Farr and Martha Sara Kinard Farr.
Mrs. Hosey is survived by her husband, Earl Hosey; children, Amanda Beavers of Anchorage, Alaska, Kena Morton of Locust Grove, Chris Boyd, Jr. and Josh Boyd, both of McDonough; seven grandchildren; step-children, Kimberly Hosey, Lawrenceville, and Steven Hosey, Houston, Texas ; siblings, Jeff Farr of Canton, Tony Farr of Covington, and Cindy Lambert, Magnolia Springs, Alabama.
Memorial services were held at Avalon Church with Rev. Murray Edwards officiating. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
Joanne S. Cook
Joanne S. Cook, age 71, of Locust Grove, Georgia died Tuesday, November 18, 2008. She was born
in Stockbridge to the late Zed Linton and Addie Joe Stanley Swann. She was a member of Locust Grove United Methodist Church.
Ms. Cook is survived by her sons, Billy Cook of Locust Grove, and Joe Cook of Panama City Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Kassy Cook and William Cook; and brother, Billy Swann of Stockbridge.

Betty Masters Harwood
Mrs. Betty Masters Harwood “Nana,” age 81, of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away November 21, 2008. Mrs. Harwood was born
in St. Augustine, Florida the daughter of the late Hazel Cubbedge and Joseph Francis Masters. Mrs. Harwood was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed her family, her church, crafts, painting, sewing, cards, volunteer work, fishing and being at the ocean. She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Sidney Harwood, in 1989.
Survivors are her daughter and sons-in-law, Catherine and Richard Norman of Whitwell, Tennessee, and Carolyn and Harry Hudson of Locust Grove; grandchildren, Lynn Rivera, Erik Hudson, Heather Hudson, Holly Brooks and Carrie Norman; great grandchildren, Isabelle Rivera, Logan Brooks and London Rivera.

Catherine Phillips Harrington
Mrs. Catherine Phillips Harrington, age 81 of Hampton died November 23, 2008. She was born
in Carroll County, daughter of the late Wilburn and Ola Kate Turner Phillips. Mrs. Harrington was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Carrollton and was retired after 25 years with Owens-Illinois in Hapeville. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was the bond that kept her family together. She was described as being very giving and enjoyed gardening. Mrs. Harrington was preceded in death by a brother, W.T. Phillips and her husband, John Lewis Harrington.
Survivors include her children, Bobby W. (Bobbie) Harrington, Sarah Richardson, Patsy (Ronnie) Dobbs, Cathy Harrington (Robert) Lacey, Becky (Steve) Mikolaitis; sisters, Allie Hutcheson, Doris Crook, Barbara Jean (Jack) Braswell; grandchildren, Brooke Lacey (Ernie) Bolden, Matthew Mikolaitis, Kristen Lacey, Christopher Mikolaitis, Aleisha (Doug) Pick, Duane Dobbs, Robby Richardson, Douglas Richardson; 11 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 26 at 1 p.m. CST from Herrens Grove Baptist Church Cemetery
in Woodland, Alabama. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday from 11:00 – 1:00 p.m. CST at Herrens Grove Baptist Church and on Tuesday from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. EST at the funeral home. Edna Sue Berry
Edna Sue Berry, age 74, of Stockbridge, Georgia died November 10, 2008. She was born
in Bremen, daughter of the late Ollie and Egariah Slate Rutledge.
Mrs. Berry is survived by her children, Hank Sweatman of Stockbridge, Wanda Nash of Tampa, Florida, Nancy Diaz, of Riverdale, Marie Puckett of Jackson, and Johnny Sweatman of Hogansville; siblings, Jimmy Rutledge of Douglasville, Ronnie Rutledge of Loganville, Brenda Doherty of Jacksonville, Florida and David Rutledge of College Park.
