Mrs. Annie Stewart

DEARING -- Mrs. Annie Mae Stewart, 81, of 228 North Railroad St., died Friday, March 27, 1998 at University Hospital.

The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses Church with Harold Carter officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery" target="_blank">cemetery.

Mrs. Stewart, a native of Aiken County, was a homemaker and a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses Church.

Survivors include two sons, Goldie Stewart Jr. and John B. Stewart, both of Dearing; five daughters, Ellen Stewart, Bobbie Gunter, Nancy Newsome, Liz Phillips and Martha Hinton, all of Dearing; three brothers, Joe Mooney and Dave Mooney, both of Dearing, and James Moody, Thomson; two sisters, Georgia Mooney, Augusta, and Marie Evan, Thomson; and 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Curtis Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ella Walker

Homemaker

Mrs. Ella Lue Walker, 93, of 3310 Hamden St., died Monday, March 23, 1998, at her residence.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at Rock Creek Baptist Church, Burke County, with the Rev. Thomas Walker officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery" target="_blank">cemetery.

Mrs. Walker, a native of Burke County, Ga., was a homemaker and a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include three brothers, Jimmie Abrams, Largo, Fla., Gus Abrams, Waynesboro, Ga., and Watson Abrams, Philadelphia; three daughters, Luella Stowbridge and Lillie Alexander, both of Augusta, and Lizzie Fulcher, Boston; and 22 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the residence or Williams Funeral Home.

Mr. David Williams Sr.

Cafeteria consultant

BRUNSON, S.C. -- Mr. David Williams Sr., 69, died Monday, March 16, 1998 in Brooklyn, N.Y.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. Dan Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery" target="_blank">cemetery.

Mr. Williams, a native of Brooklyn, was a cafeteria consultant and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, David Williams Jr., Brooklyn; two daughters, Ethel Williams and Jenette Williams, both of Brooklyn; three brothers, Pringle Williams Jr. and Matthew Williams, both of Jacksonville, Fla., and Robert Williams, Brunson; three sisters, Eva Kearse, Clara Green and Earline Lagair, all of Jacksonville; and four grandchildren.

Friends may call at Riley's Funeral Home, Fairfax.

Mr. Ennis Yorker III

Farmer

DAVISBORO, Ga. -- Mr. Ennis Yorker III, 54, of 205 Newsome St., died Sunday, March 22, 1998 at the Medical College of Georgia Hospital.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Jordan Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Miles officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery" target="_blank">cemetery.

Mr. Yorker, a native of Washington County, was a farmer and a member of Jordan Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Maude Yorker; four daughters, Beverly Yorker, Kimberly Yorker, Brittany Yorker and Jessica Yorker, all of Davisboro; 10 brothers, Virgil Alton Salter, Buster Yorker, and Ray Nelson, all of Davisboro, Melvin Yorker, Ray Yorker, Eddie Yorker, Samuel Yorker and James Yorker, all of Sandersville, Larry Yorker, Lakeworth, Fla., and Charlie Nelson, Columbus; six sisters, Marie Gibbons, Sandersville, Annie Cora Atkinson, Helen Wilfork, both of Delray Beach, Fla., Angie Bell Gilbert, Dublin, Myrtice Yorker, Palm Beach, Fla., and Beverly Johnson, Lakeland.

Pallbearers will be Raymond Yorker, Patrick Yorker, Cornelius Gibbons, Ray Yorker Jr., Harold Gibbons Jr., and Anthony Gibbons.

M.C. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Willie King

Mr. Willie King of Fury's Ferry Road, died Tuesday, March 24, 1998, at West Lake Manor Nursing Home.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Gospel Water Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Ramsey officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery" target="_blank">cemetery.

Survivors include one brother, Moses King Jr., Augusta; and two sisters, Hattie Martin, Oakland, Calif., and Mamie Griffin, Milwaukee.

Peoples Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Robert Shaver Sr.

Columbia Nitrogen retiree

North Augusta -- Mr. Robert T. ``Bob" Shaver Sr., 72, of 1926 Bunting Drive, died Friday, March 27, 1998, at University Hospital.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rowland Funeral Home with the Revs. John Messick, Doug Bryant and Billy Alford officiating. Burial will be in Pineview Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Shaver, a native of Altoona, Pa., was a Columbia Nitrogen retiree and a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a founding member of Independent Bible Church, Altoona.

Survivors include one son, Michael Deane Shaver, Metuchen, N.J.; three daughters, Susan Lizabeth Shaver and Mary Elizabeth Shaver, both of Augusta, and Rebecca Ann Landers, Kansas City, Mo.; one sister, Sally Shaver Reed, Hagerstown, Md.; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Avery, William Johns, Bernard Prescott, Dan Hollins, Ron Toole and Don McCafferty.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Tuesday Lunch ``Over the Hill Gang" of DSM Retirees.

Memorials may be made to the Elephant Sanctuary, c/o Robert Thomas Shaver Sr., P.O. Box 393, Hohenwald, TN 38462.

Mrs. Alzader Still

Mrs. Alzader P. Still, 91, of 1437 Heath St., died Friday, March 27, 1998, at St. Joseph Hospital.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Platt's Funeral Home, Crawford Avenue, with the Rev. Tony Christie officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mrs. Still, a native of Harlem, was a homemaker and a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, Roy M. Still Jr., Highlands, N.C.; one daughter, Doris Rabun, Augusta; and three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Ray D. Johnson, Terrance A. Watson, Christopher Delk, Henry Toole, William J. Williams, Lon Purvis, Charles Ivey and Charles Anderson.

Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Woodlawn Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Miller Weeks

Wrens Grocery Co. owner

WRENS, Ga. -- Mr. Miller Weeks, 71, of 408 Russell St., died Saturday, March 28, 1998, at Columbia Augusta Medical Center.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at Wrens Baptist Church with the Revs. Al Haywood, Ben Martin and Charles Green officiating. Burial will be in Wrens cemetery" target="_blank">Cemetery.

Mr. Weeks, a native of Jefferson County, was the owner of Wrens Grocery Co. and a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of American Legion Post 229, Jefferson County Board of Education and Wrens Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and a Sunday school teacher. He was director of First State Bank and a Mason.

The family said they celebrated at his bedside as they placed Mr. Weeks in the hands of angels to be ushered into the presence of the Lord.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Weeks; three sons, Ronnie Weeks, Gainesville, and Jerry Weeks and Miller Weeks, both of Wrens; and seven grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Edward Scott, Tommy Scott, Jimmy Weeks, Korey Weeks, Heath Jefferson, Charles Milburn, Kenneth McDonald and Timothy Chance.

Memorials may be made to R.M. Weeks Jr. Youth Scholarship, c/o Wrens Baptist Church, P.O. Box 217, Wrens, GA 30833.

Mrs. Alta Ammon

Homemaker

Mrs. Alta Ellen Ammon, 82, of 108 Independence Drive, Martinez, died Sunday, March 29, 1998, at her residence.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Ammon, a native of Detroit, had lived in Martinez for eight years and was a former resident of Casselberry, Fla. She was a homemaker and a Methodist.

Her family said she was a flower enthusiast and a very bright and vibrant individual, and she will be missed by family and friends.

Survivors include a son, Larry Ammon, Deltona, Fla.; two daughters, Cindy Smith, Evans, and Jan Ammon, Deltona; and two sisters, Jane Wigle, Detroit, and Dorothy Wechsler, Upland, Calif.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Columbia Road.

Mr. Ronnie Bell

Real estate manager

Mr. Ronnie Bell, 61, of 2912 Walden Drive, died Saturday, March 28, 1998, at St. Joseph Hospital.

The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Platt's Funeral Home, Crawford Avenue, with the Revs. Ken Young and Harold Jones officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mr. Bell, a native of Augusta was an Army veteran and a real estate manager.

Survivors include his wife, Gretchen W. Bell; a son, Wade R. Bell, Augusta; two daughters, Tracy B. Sperrey and Courtney N. Bell, both of Augusta; and one grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Paul Sperrey, Bob Halvorson, Mark Saunders, Larry Gray, Lacy Saunders and Jimmy Camak.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
