Danielle Davis, age 19, of McDonough, Georgia, died December 8, 2009.
She was born
in Atlanta on October 15, 1990.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Glenda Gleason.
She is survived by her mother, Stephanie (Victor) Garcia, McDonough; father, Kit Davis, Jonesboro; brothers, Garrett Garcia and Kyle Puckett both of McDonough, and Kit Carson Davis, IV, Atlanta; sister, Gabriella Garcia, McDonough; maternal grandparents, Harry and Dayle Brown, Fayetteville; paternal grandfather, Kit Carson (Brenda) Davis, Jonesboro; uncle, Kevin Brown, Newnan; aunt, Tracey Ambrose, McDonough; fiancé, Dustin Willett, Hampton; and many family and friends.
Funeral services were held December 14 at Salem Baptist Church with Jason Sikes officiating.

Betty Anne Tanner Upton
Betty Anne Tanner Upton, age 70 of McDonough, Georgia, died December 8, 2009.
Betty was born
in Davisboro to the late Homer Burton and Myrtle Estelle Moye Tanner.
After her parents died in a house fire, she was raised by her late aunt and uncle, Edna and William Garrett.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, George McDuffie Upton and by siblings, Jack Hooks, Bill Garrett and Mary Swindel.
She was the oldest living charter member of Pinecrest Baptist Church, where she had been very active for many years.
She retired after over 20 years from Finlay Fine Jewelry.
Betty enjoyed flower gardening, spending time with her family and will always be remembered as a friend to everyone.
Survivors include her daughters, Regina (Art Marler) Krytus of Forsyth, Marianne (Fred) Land of McDonough, Susan Upton of Forsyth; grandchildren, Heather and Tiffany Shortt, Nicholas Williams, Cody and Hunter Land; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Blaklee Anne Shortt and Jordon Williams; sisters, Anne Jones of Riddleville and Jean (Marion) Anderson of Sandersville; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held December 13 at the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Rev. Roy Mack and Rev. Carol Renfroe officiating.
Entombment at Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Margorie McGregor
Margorie McGregor, age 80, of Stockbridge, Georgia, died December 8, 2009.
She was born
in Garden City, Michigan to the late William and Meda Tedlock Maylen. She loved reading, crafts, and taking care of her family.
Margorie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
She will be missed by her family and many friends throughout Michigan and Georgia.
Mrs. McGregor is survived by her husband, Ralph McGregor, Stockbridge; son, Gary (Laurie) McGregor, Stockbridge; daughter, Tracy (Pat) McHugh, Plymouth, MI; and grandsons, Steven McGregor and Dylan McGregor, Stockbridge.

Oliver G. Thorton
Oliver G. Thornton, age 67, of Stockbridge, Georgia, died December 9, 2009.
He was born
in Stewart County to the late Olin Douglas and Thelma Irene Moore Thornton.
He graduated from Cusseta High School and attended Columbus College on a basketball scholarship.
He was an active, loyal, longtime member of Stockbridge First United Methodist Church.
Mr. Thornton began with Delta Air Lines in 1963.
In 1976, he gained a position in Atlanta Pilot Crew Scheduling.
In 1986, he volunteered to work with the Information Services team that was developing the first computerized Pilot Crew Scheduling system at Delta.
This system is currently used by over 11,000 pilots on a daily basis.
In 1998, Ollie was again promoted to a Specialist-Portfolio position within the Flight Operations automation team.
In his new capacity he continued to dedicate himself to improving the system by upgrading and adding modules that increased the value of the system until his retirement in 2002.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Thornton, Stockbridge; daughter and son-in-law, Laurie and Mark Gustafson, Carrolton; grandchildren, Isabelle Grace Gustafson and Oliver Daniell Gustafson; brother, Roy Douglas Thornton and his wife Sharon, Fortson; sister, Sharon Kay Morgan and her husband Christopher, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held December 12 at Stockbridge First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim McRae officiating.
Interment at Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus.

Jack Barber Litten
Jack Barber “J.B.” Litten, age 59, of McDonough, Georgia, died December 9, 2009.
Mr. Litten was born
in Springer, New Mexico.
He served his country in the US Army in Vietnam. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, and spending time with his family and friends.
He enjoyed his animals and was known as an inventor.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Vora Mae Howard Litten and a brother, Matthew Litten.
Survivors are his wife, Martha Martin Litten of McDonough; children, Jack Litten and wife Ember of Hampton, Bryan Litten and wife Audrey of Monroe and Lindy Martin of McDonough; father, Jack Litten of Kirkland, New Mexico; grandson, Dakoda Martin of McDonough; siblings, Tomi, Jason, Dani, Rhea, Quinten; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Mr. Litten was held December 13 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home.

Shirley Fay Mauldin
Shirley Fay Mauldin, age 72, of Stockbridge, Georgia, died December 11, 2009.
She was born
in Atlanta to the late Homer Harold and Ella Frances Blackwell Blalock.
She was a member of Valley Hill Baptist Church.
Mrs. Mauldin is survived by her son, James Michael Mauldin, Normangee, Texas ; daughters, Mary Ann Dixon, Elkhart, Indiana, Lisa Davis, McDonough, and Lori Osborne, McDonough; brothers, Larry Blalock, Stockbridge and Thomas Blalock, Stockbridge; sisters, Margarite Blalock, Stockbridge, and Ann Hayes, Newnan.

Josephine Martin Cox
Josephine Martin Cox, age 87, of Stockbridge, Georgia, died December 12, 2009.
Mrs. Cox was born
in Florence, Alabama to the late Andrew and Pauline Martin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George M. Cox, Sr. and 4 siblings.
She is survived by her sons and daughters in-law, George and Sherry Cox, Jr. of Stockbridge, Stephen and Kelly Cox of McDonough; grandchildren, Christopher Cox, Kelly Cox, Kristen Cox, Jennifer Hetzel, and Melissa Brown.
Funeral services were held December 15 at Ward’s Fairview Chapel.
