MILLEN, Ga. -- Mrs. Laura Belle Kent Grimm, 82, of 900 N. Harvey St., died Wednesday, March 18, 1998, in Statesboro.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Millen Baptist Church with the Revs. Maurice Crowder and Charles Strickland officiating. Burial will be in Millen cemetery" target="_blank">Cemetery.
Mrs. Grimm, a native of Emanuel County, was a retired inspector with Thomson Co. and a member of Millen Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Gene Grimm, Millen; two daughters, Gladys G. Frazier, Bladenboro, N.C., and Ada Ruth Jenkins, Statesboro; three brothers, Brantley Kent, Jack D. Kent Sr. and Thurmon Kent Sr., all of Millen; one sister, Ruth K. Miller, Millen; and 13 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Thurmon Kent Jr., B.L. Kent, Jack Kent Jr., Andy Kent, George Gunn and F.A. Black.

GARFIELD, Ga. -- Mrs. Hattie Mae James, 87, of 149 Scuffletown Road, died Sunday, March 15, 1998, at Emanuel Medical Center.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Gilead Baptist Church, Canoochee, with the Rev. K.E. McNeal officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery" target="_blank">cemetery.
Mrs. James, a native of Burke County, was a homemaker and a member of Mount Gilead Baptist Church, where she served as church mother, president of the church mission and Sunday school teacher, and was the organizing member of the usher board.
Survivors include one son, Tommy L. James, Garfield; four daughters, Geneva Oliver, Garfield, Ever James, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Etta Jackson, Irvington, N.J., and Marietta James, Silver Spring, Md.; and 16 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be deacons of Mount Gilead Baptist Church.

Ms. Paschal, a native of Glascock County, was a homemaker and a member of Thankful Baptist Church.

Mrs. Scott, a native of Graniteville, had retired from Graniteville Co. and was a member of Breezy Hill Baptist Church, Graniteville.
Survivors include two sons, George Scott Jr. and William ``Bill" Scott, both of Aiken; three brothers, Bill Whisenant, Aiken, Edward Whisenant, Warrenville, and Bob R. Whisenant, Augusta; four sisters, Jean W. Bahlhorn and Gail W. Simpson, both of Graniteville, Ellen Arthur, Warrenville, and Erline Walker, North Augusta; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Rouse, a native of Aiken, was a retired construction worker and a member of First Shiloh Baptist Church. He was an Air Force veteran.
Survivors include two sons, Ernest Rouse and Clayton Rouse, both of Florida; one brother, Willie Rouse Jr., Augusta; and three sisters, Ethelene Green, Betty Hawkins and Marilyn Simpkins, all of Augusta.

Mrs. Wiggins, a native of Emanuel County, was retired from Emanuel County Board of Education. She was a member of Union Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Edgar Wiggins; two sons, Solomon Edger Wiggins, Swainsboro, and Joseph W. Wiggins, Sylvania; and 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Allen, a native of Aiken County, was retired from Fort Gordon Bus Co. as a supervisor and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a former pastor of Rockville Baptist Church, Warrenville, and Piney Grove Baptist Church, Gibson, Ga. He was a member of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, James W. Wise, Thurmond Wise and Tony E. Allen, all of Augusta, and Leroy Allen Jr., New York; one daughter, Lithornia Allen Best, Martinez; and eight grandchildren.

Mrs. Bennett, a native of Virginia, was a homemaker and was the oldest member of Sweetwater Baptist Church, where she was a member of Eunice Sunday School Class.
Survivors include three sons, David Bennett and Milas Bennett, both of Thomson, and Albert Lloyd Bennett Jr., Franklinton, N.C.; two daughters, Genevee Hayden, Charlotte, N.C., and Barbara Hailey, South Boston, Va.; and 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Eunice Sunday School Class.
