Juanita Wysong
Juanita Wysong, age 74, of Forest Park, GA died Friday, January 9, 2009. She was born
in Bristol, VA to Samuel Hickman and Allie Houser. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Tabernacle, and, loved to spend her time shopping and traveling. In addition, she enjoyed watching classic mo-vies, working with puzzles, and collecting dolls. Most important to her, however, was her family.
Mrs. Wysong was preceded in death by her husband, Les Wysong. She is survived by her son, Ken Loach, McDonough, her daughter, Linda D'Hollosy of Williamson, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services were January 13 at Cannon Cleve-land Funeral Directors with Dr. Tim Dowdy officiating. Interment followed at Sherwood Memorial Park. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors.
Marilyn June Broome
Marilyn June Broome, age 65, of Marietta, GA died Saturday, January 10, 2009. She was born
in Lutcher, LA, to the late Prentice Albert Tamplain, Jr. and Dorothy Landry Tamplain Smith. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Lynn Tamplain and Prentice "Pat" Tamplain, III and her great niece, Tracey E. Brignac.
Mrs. Broome is survived by children: Chris (Kim) Broome, Fayetteville; Mike (Kelly) Broome, Jackson; and Ben Broome, Cartersville; and siblings: Sherryl Tamplain Savoie, Reserve, LA; Gloria Jean Brignac, Baton Rouge, LA; Charles "Bee Bee" Tam-plain, Reserve, LA; 8 grandchildren: Seth, Anslee, and Laurel Broome, Fayetteville; Jacob, Elijah and Asher Broome, McDonough; David Broome, Cartersville; Amy Broome, Ellijay; and numerous, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Memorial Services were held on Tuesday, January 13, at the McDonough First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Mike Cash and Rev. Dana Everhart officiating. Inurn-ment services will be held at a later date at St. Peter Mau-soleum in Reserve, LA with Rev. Michael S. Broome officiating. Donnie Schutz
Donnie Schutz, age 39, of McDonough, GA died Sunday, January 11, 2009. He was born
in Akron, OH to Donald Franklin and Linda Carol Scott Schutz.
Mr. Schutz was employed with Garland Floor Company, Cleveland, OH and a member of Sharon Baptist Church. Donnie was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed all outdoor activities. Most of all he was a loving husband, father, son and grandson.
Mr. Schutz is survived by his wife Kimberly Newsome Schutz; mother, Linda Carol Scott, Akron, OH, father and step mother, Don and Linda Schutz, Akron, OH; children, Codi Schutz, Collin Schutz, Rayce Newsome and Ashlee Newsome, all of McDonough; siblings, Tabitha Hedrick, Clinton, OH, Sabrina Burr, Akron, OH; step-sister, Jodi Sarver, Akron, OH; maternal grandparents Richard and El-ma Bowman, McDonough; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, January 14, at Sharon Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors.
William Bill McLaughlin
William Bill McLaughlin, age 77, of McDonough, Georgia died December 26, 2008. He was born
in Greenville, son of the late Joseph and Lula Owens McLaughlin. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mollie Burns McLaughlin.
Mr. McLaughlin is survived by his daughter, Mandy A. Watson of McDonough; 3 grandchildren; siblings, Josephine Parrish of Milton, Florida, and Anne Carroll of Lawrenceville.

Wayne Smith
Wayne Smith, age 67, of McDonough, Georgia died January 2. He was born
in Atlanta to the late Rayford Miles and Virgie Mae Lewis Smith. Wayne was a member of Sharon Baptist Church. He was a member of the Steamfitters and Pipefitters Local Union No. 72 and recently received his 40-year pin. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Carol Callaway Smith; children, Brian (Anita) Smith, Rodney Smith, Mindy Smith (Roberto) Castillo, all of McDonough; siblings, Donna Plumley of Powder Springs, Mary Blissitt of Fayetteville, Theda Evans of Clarksville, and Herman Smith of Milledgville; grandchildren, Breanna, Adam, Jacob, Kaylie, `Carol Anne, Emilie and Victoria.
Funeral Services were held on January 5, at the Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors with Rev. Gary Lewis, officiating. Interment Sherwood Memorial Gardens. John Alfred Fitzgerald
John Alfred Fitzgerald, 84, of Stockbridge, Georgia, died January 5, 2009 after a lengthy and courageous fight against cancer. Born in Rouserville, Pennsylvania on March 27, 1924, he was raised by his father and stepmother, Dorothy M. Fitzgerald after his mother Grace died at an early age. He married
his high school sweetheart, Phyetta Fae Craver on April 21, 1945. John served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force and was a veteran of World War II. After serving his country he was employed by Delta Air Lines in Erlanger, Kentucky at the Greater Cincinnati Airport. He transferred to Atlanta, Georgia in 1961 with Delta when the William B. Hartsfield Terminal was opened, working as a radio technician and later as Manager Technical Operations Training. He retired in 1986 to the accolades of many who worked for him as "the best Manager to have worked with." During his retirement he and his wife enjoyed spending time together and traveled many parts of the country by RV. He served as Deacon at Salem Baptist Church, McDonough and was instrumental in organizing and maintaining the church's worship music library. He loved to sing in the choir and was a member of the church's Young at Heart Club and Singing Saints. His kind, gentle, and giving spirit endeared him to his family, fellow church members and many friends with whom he established lifelong relationships. He loved spending time visiting with his children, the yearly family Florida vacation, but most of all taking care of his wife and daughter, Linda Fitzgerald. He was her "wheels" back and forth to work as Music Assistant for the music ministry at Salem. Even after learning of his cancer and after enduring the often difficult periods of chemotherapy treatment and being retired, he still considered it his responsibility to take her to work in the morning and bring her home in the evening each day. He was preceded in death by parents Reverend Howard S. and Grace M. Fitzgerald and brother, Howard Fitzgerald.
Besides his wife Phyetta and daughter Linda, he is survived by son, John Fitzgerald (Lucy) of Holtville, Alabama, son, Randy Fitzgerald (Carol) of Fayetteville, daughter, Joetta Johnson of Stockbridge, son, Danny Fitzgerald (Kristin) of McDonough; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Emagene M. Fitzgerald of State College, Pennyslvania; sisters, Louise Zawislak (Walter) of Georgetown, Deleware, Marian Franck (Nor-man) of St. Michaels, Maryland, Mae Davis of Ohio; brothers, Lynn Fitzgerald (Betty) of Easton, Pennsylvania , Carl Fitzgerald (Irene) of Pipersville, Pennsylvania , Dean Fitzgerald of Elk City, Oklahoma, Ross Fitzgerald of Las Vegas, Nevada; sister-in-law, Thelma Ilhardt of Cincinnati, Ohio; brother-in-law, Charles Craver (Joyce) of Umatilla, Florida; nieces and nephews, cousins, and many special friends with whom he shared many memories.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 9, at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Dan McKay, Rev. Roger Waters, Rev. Rick Statham and Rev. Bobby Swafford officiating. Mr. Fitzgerald will lie in state from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Church. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 8 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Benevolence Fund at Salem Baptist Church. Malcolm Renzo Hingson
Mr. Malcolm Renzo Hingson, age 78, formerly of McDonough, Georgia died December 16, 2008. He was born
in Live Oak, Florida to the late Thomas Michael, Sr. and Ida Hart Hingson. He retired from National Linen Supply Company. Mr. Hingson was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Anita Nathe Hingson and son Dennis and his wife Mary Hingson.
Survivors include his daughter, Denise Cox of McDonough; son, Nathan Hingson of St.Petersburg, Florida; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and brothers, Mike Hingson of Tampa, Florida and Ray Hingson of Florida.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 4, 2009 at the Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
