Dr. Paul James ``P.J." Philson, 92, of 4275 Owens Road, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 1998, at Columbia Augusta Medical Center.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Platt's Funeral Home, Belair Road, with Dr. Richard Short officiating. Entombment will be in Westover Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Dr. Philson, a native of Greer, S.C., was a former resident of Columbia and had lived in Evans for six years. He had retired from the University of South Carolina as a biology professor and from Columbia waterworks. He was a former member of the Columbia Rotary Club and a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Austin Philson; a son, Robert Austin Philson, Columbia; a daughter, Camilla Philson Humphrey, Augusta; a sister, Edna Philson Leavell, Ridgeway, S.C.; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Brandon Wilde Endowment, 4275 Owens Road, Evans, GA 30809; or Covenant Presbyterian Church Flower Fund, 3131 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30909.

COLUMBIA -- Mrs. Kathryn Page Porter, 92, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 1998, at her residence.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Dean Swamp Baptist Church, Springfield. Burial will be in the church cemetery" target="_blank">cemetery.
Mrs. Porter, a native of Waynesboro, Miss., was a homemaker, She was a graduate of Hattiesburg Women's College, Hattiesburg, Miss., and a member of Springfield Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Gene E. Porter, Columbia, and Cordell P. Porter, Greenville; a sister, Gladys Meek, Hattiesburg; and five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

NORTH AUGUSTA -- Mr. John L. Robinson. 83, of 2 Arcadia Court, died Friday, Feb. 13, 1998, at Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Augusta, with the Rev. P. Boler Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Rosemount Memorial Park, Orange, N.J.
Mr. Robinson, a native of Edgefield County, had retired from Ford Motor Co. and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Alice Robinson; two daughters, Teresa Bell and Angela Boatright; and two grandchildren.

LOUISVILLE, Ga. -- Mrs. Geraldine ``Jerry" Cunningham Webb, 83, of 325 East Seventh St., died Friday, Feb. 13, 1998, at Jefferson Hospital.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Woodlawn Baptist Church with the Revs. Clarence Brown and Perry Daniel officiating. Burial will be in Spring Bethel Society cemetery" target="_blank">Cemetery.
Mrs. Webb, a native of Jefferson County, was a homemaker. She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Spring Bethel Benevolent Society and president of the missionary society.
Survivors include three daughters, Eva Jean Evans, Barbara Howard Brown and Felicia Mack, all of Louisville; a sister, Luanna C. Redfield, Augusta; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be deacons and trustees of Woodlawn Baptist Church.

Mrs. Juanita Westmoreland
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Mrs. Juanita Galloway Scott Westmoreland, 89, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 1998, at Gaston Manor, Gastonia.
Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sharon Memorial Park. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Dilworth United Methodist Church with the Revs. Douglas Fairbanks and James Trollinger officiating.
Mrs. Westmoreland, a native of Dillon County, was a longtime resident of Charlotte and had lived in Gaston Manor, Gastonia, for 14 months. She was a graduate of Charlotte schools and Kings Business College, and worked with Schultz Greenhouses for more than 20 years. She volunteered in the Salvation Army Auxiliary and was a charter member of Dilworth United Methodist Church, where she was a life member of the administrative board and a longtime member of the Dilworth United Methodist Women and the Mouzon Bible Class.
Survivors include three sons, Victor Sloan Westmoreland Jr., Valparaiso, Fla., Robert Scott Westmoreland, Aiken, and James Ross Westmoreland, Gastonia; and six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mr. Willis, a native of Haines City, Fla., was a furniture manufacturer. He was an Army veteran and a Baptist.

Mrs. Young, a native of Lordsburg, N.M., was a former resident of Little Rock, Ark., and had lived in Hephzibah for 10 years. She had retired as a food service worker at the Arkansas State Mental Hospital after 20 years of service. She was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons and Miracle Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Pat Young; two daughters, Fronia Ann Stewart and Betty Lou Harkness, both of Hephzibah; one sister, Ruth Santarona, Perryville, Ark.; and two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
