Jeffrey Mark Turk
Jeffrey Mark Turk, age 54, of McDonough, Georgia died January 27, 2009. He was born
in Vallejo, California to Winburn Lenoe and Martha Jo Peck Turk of Cumming. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He loved his family. They were his pride and joy. He will be deeply missed. Mr. Turk was a member of Stockbridge Presbyterian Church, where he formerly served as an Elder. He was employed with Old Dominion Freight Lines and worked in the transportation industry for over 25 years. He was an avid golfer and loved to work in his yard.
Survivors other than his parents include his wife, Carol Bailey Turk; daughters, Melissa Leigh (Lee) East, McDonough, Stephanie Turk (Casey) Hinson, McDonough, Nicole Catherine Turk (Josh Hargrove), Stockbridge, and Rachel Suzanne Turk (Matthew Settle), McDonough; sister, Lesa (Jimmy) Whitworth, Lawrenceville; grandchildren, Kyleigh Hinson, Cayden Hinson and Lexi East, mother-in-law, Barbara A. Bailey; brother-in-law, Michael (Lynne) Bailey; sister-in-law, Cheri Bailey (Kenny Stokes); niece, Jennifer (Bill) Streck; nephews, Michael Bailey, Jr. and Steven Bailey; and many cousins, aunts, uncles and “the boys.”

Lillie Buchanan Lunsford
Lillie Buchanan Lunsford, age 79, of McDonough, Georgia passed January 27, 2009. She was born
in Hayesville, North Carolina, to the late Henry Robert and Elzia Pearl Watson Buchanan. Mrs. Lunsford was preceded in death by her husband, George Haley Lunsford. She attended Flippen United Methodist Church. She enjoyed working in the yard with her flowers and raising pet birds. Grandma was on the NASCAR circuit as an avid Earnhardt fan. But most important to her were her grandkids and great-grandkids.
Mrs. Lunsford is survived by her children, Henry and Sharon Lunsford, Thomaston, Sheila Ann and Paul Thomas, Lithia Springs; 4 grandchildren, Marine 1st Lt. Sean and Cyndi Stamps, Graham Lansford, Buffy and Billy Roberts, and Chelsey Hale; 5 great-grandchildren, Logan and Peyton Stamps, Kaitlin and Cody Hammonds, and Will Roberts; sister, Esta Berrong, Hiawassee; brothers, L.D. Buchanan, Blairsville, and James Buchanan, Hiawassee; and BFF, Frankie Yancey and Margie Lunsford.

Elmer F. Schneid
Elmer F. Schneid, Jr. age 72, of McDonough, Georgia died January 28, 2009. He was born
in Wheeling, West Virginia to the late Elmer Frank and Elizabeth Francis Craft Schneid. He was also preceded in death by his brother, William Schneid. Mr. Schneid was a member of St. James The Apostle Catholic Church. He was an Air Force veteran and was formerly employed with First National Bank of Atlanta and then retired from Bank of America.
Mr. Schneid is survived by his wife, Karen Schneid; siblings, Elizabeth (John) McKee, Manteno, Illinois and Pat (Sandy) Schneid, Wheeling, West Virginia; sister-in-law, Esther (John) Bolling; and his four legged friend “Charlie.”
Funeral services were held on January 31, at St. James The Apostle Catholic Church with Father Jose Kochuparampil officiating. Interment followed at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Johnny Mason
Johnny Mason, age 82, of Stockbridge, Georgia died January 29, 2009. He was born
in Henry County to the late Worthy and Maude Moore Mason. He served our country with the U.S. Army and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Mr. Mason is survived by his wife, Mary Alice Mason; brother Charles Mason; sisters-in-law, Frances Childers and Dot Rivers; and several nieces and nephews.

Norma Luciel Ewen Lute
Norma Luciel Ewen Lute, age 82, of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away January 28, 2009. She was born
May 22, 1926 in Deschler, Nebraska to John and Lydia Ewen. Norma’s family later moved to California where she graduated from San Bernardino High School in San Bernardino, California. Norma was married
to John Francis Lute of Grand Island, Nebraska on March 3, 1946. They made their home in San Bernardino where she worked as a long distance operator for Pacific Telephone and Telegraph. John and Norma were married
54 years and spent the last years of their lives together in Drumright, Oklahoma. She moved to Locust Grove in 2002 to be near her son and his family. Norma was a woman of faith. She loved her Lord and spent much time in prayer. She also loved gospel music. Norma taught herself to play the piano and organ and had a beautiful alto voice. She used these talents for the Lord. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brothers, Ed, Al, and Vern Ewen and sister Lois Ewen Hood.
Survivors include her son, John Wesley (Jane) Lute of Locust Grove; granddaughters, Margaret (Kevin) Livingston of Locust Grove, Rachel (Dan) Devitt of Darien, Connecticut, Colleen (Chris) Watts of Rome, Italy, Judith (Kevin) Randolph of Locust Grove; grandchildren, Jackson, Jasper, Jude Randolph, Judson, Lydia Mae, Cotton Watts, Nan Elise Livingston, Crosson Devitt. She is also survived by her beloved youngest sister, Artyce Ewen (Glenn) Homan of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico.
Funeral services were conducted January 31 from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Pastor Craig Bowers and Deacon Terry McMickle officiated. Leon A. Forrer
Leon A. Forrer, age 64, of McDonough, Georgia died January 29, 2009. He was born
in Griffin to the late Atwell and Edna Pullin Forrer. Mr. Forrer served in the US Air Force and was employed at Delta Airlines for 31 years.
Mr. Forrer is survived by his wife, Virginia Foster Forrer; son, Scott (Tamarra) Forrer; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Thomas James Moore, Sr.
Thomas James Moore, Sr., age 69, of Locust Grove, Georgia died January 29, 2009. He was born
in Elkton, Maryland to the late Thomas Stephen and Mary Leora Case Moore. Mr. Moore served in the Air Force for over 9 years as Airman First Class. He retired from Worldcom with over 30 Years of service and was a school bus driver for special needs children in Henry County. He loved to play golf and was a pet lover. But most important to him was his God, his family, and his friends.
Mr. Moore is survived by his wife, Alice Diana Johnson Moore, Locust Grove; sons, Thomas James Moore Jr., Stockbridge, and James Kevin (Courney) Moore, Hiram; daughter, Mary Lois Ortiz, Locust Grove; grandchildren, Austin Paul Ortiz, Zachery Tyler Moore, and Colton James Moore; brother, Steve Moore, Jacksonville, Florida; sister, Mary Lee Aycock, Texas ; and his special pets who were also his special friends, Kiska Moore, Margie Moore, and Zoey Moore.
