Mr. Bennie Still

Retired farmer

BARNWELL, S.C. -- Mr. Bennie L. Still, 90, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 1998, in Aiken.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Lebanon Christian Church, with the Rev. Bill Umstetter officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery" target="_blank">cemetery.

Mr. Still, a native of Barnwell County, was a retired farmer and a member of Mount Lebanon Christian Church.

Survivors include four daughters, Juanita Bessinger, Jeanette Bessinger and Bennie Mae Amick, all of Barnwell, and Dolly Still, Columbia; one sister, Maggie Dyches, Barnwell; and 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the home of James and Jeanette Bessinger.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Mole Funeral Home.

Mr. Talmadge Turmon

HAMPTON, S.C. -- Mr. Talmadge Reynard Turmon, 42, of Trailer No. 7, Alma St., died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998, at Hampton Regional Medical Center, Varnville.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at United Love Christian Church, Fairfax. Burial will be in the church cemetery" target="_blank">cemetery.

Mr. Turmon, a native of Hampton County, was a member of United Love Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Deloris Smalls Turmon; two sons, McClinton Sentee Turmon and Talmadge Antonia Washington, both of Fairfax; one daughter, Chamika Tatina Turmon; five brothers, Larry Turmon and Ronald Clay Turmon, both of Florence, John Kearse, Walterboro, Lester Fields, Orlando, Fla., and Myron Shawn Kearse, Varnville; and two sisters, Myra Turmon, New York, and Lynda Micheals, Savannah.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Washington's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jane Wall

Homemaker

CATONSVILLE, Md. -- Mrs. Jane Lyle Wall, 98, of 709 Maiden Choice Lane, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 1997, at Charlestown Care Center.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Curtis Funeral Home, Thomson, with Dr. James C. Elder Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Thomson Memorial cemetery" target="_blank">Cemetery, Thomson.

Mrs. Wall, a native of Georgia, had lived in Thomson for 88 years. She was a homemaker and had been a teacher. She earned a teaching certificate from the University of Georgia. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Thomson, where she taught Sunday school class. She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, the United Daughters of the Confederacy and Arbutus Baptist Church, Arbutus, Md.

Survivors include one son, Jack P. Wall Sr., Marietta, Ga.; two sisters, Jessie P. Cashin, Atlanta, and Ruth P. Murphy, Owasso, Okla.; and six grandchildren, one stepgrandchild and three great-grandchildren.

Mr. A.C. Webb Jr.

Retiree

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Mr. A.C. ``Ace" Webb Jr., 72, of 610 Grove Road, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 1998, at Greenville Medical Center.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at McDougald Funeral Home, Anderson, with the Revs. Broadus Moody and Julian Ford officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Webb, a native of Anderson, was retired from the vending food service industry as a manager. He was an Army veteran of World War II and earned three Bronze Stars, two Purple Hearts and the commendation of Valor from the French government. He was a volunteer agent of the U.S. government for 34 years. He was a member of Warrenville First Baptist Church and had been a member of Midway Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Cassie Webb; one son, Danny Nelson Webb, Easley; one daughter, Sharan Webb Mislap, Spartanburg; his mother, Carrie W. Webb, Anderson; two brothers, Charles Webb and Jack Webb, both of Anderson; three sisters, Betty Sanders, Mary Jackson and Ann Bowen, all of Anderson; and three grandchildren.

Friends may call at the residence.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Ronald Webster

Retired tax accountant

HEPHZIBAH -- Mr. Ronald Wayne ``Bill" Webster, 55, of 1371 Greiner Circle, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998, at his residence.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at DeLoach Funeral Home, Waynesboro, with the Revs. Jack Fuqua and Stephen R. Jones officiating. Burial will be in Burke Memorial Gardens, Waynesboro.

Mr. Webster, a native of Owen County, Ky., was a retired tax accountant and had been owner and operator of Rhodes-Murphy Tax Service, Waynesboro. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of Burns Memorial United Methodist Church, Augusta. He was a member and had been secretary of Waynesboro Exchange Club. He served in the Army Reserves 382nd field hospital as a medic.

Survivors include his wife, Edith J.H. Webster; three daughters, Diana Adams and Carol Murray, both of Puyallup, Wash., and SeJana Vaught, Portland, Ore.; three brothers, Bobby G. Webster, New Liberty, Ky., Gary C. Wheeler, Erlanger, Ky., and Jimmy A. Webster, Niceville, Fla.; and eight grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Ronald R. Cliett, Jimmy G. Williams, Leonard Hill, Johnny Jenkins, John C. Lewis, Bill Van Pelt, Randy M. Crawford and Hugh Avery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. George Williams Jr.

Welder

Mr. George ``Pete" Williams Jr., of 3045 Dent St., died Monday, Jan. 19, 1998, at his residence.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Clarence Moore officiating. Burial will be in Southview cemetery" target="_blank">Cemetery.

Mr. Williams, a native of Augusta, was a welder with Macuch Steel Products and served as a member of the 1148th Transportation Company of the Georgia National Guard for 12 years.

Survivors include one daughter, Crystal D. Truitt; his father, George H. Williams Sr., Augusta; three brothers, James R. Williams, Jerome Williams and Jeffery Williams, all of Augusta; and four sisters, Cathy L. Dozier, Mary F. Williams, Bessie M. Freeman and Patricia D. Williams, all of Augusta.

Pallbearers will be Leon Rowe, Preston Ozen, Coley Hightower, Aaron Golatt, Lindsey Holmes and Danny White.

Friends may call at the residence or Williams Funeral Home.

Mr. Wilmer Allen

Civil service retiree

LOUISVILLE, Ga. -- Mr. Wilmer L. ``Cooter" Allen, 73, of U.S. Highway 1, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 1998, at University Hospital, Augusta.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Louisville City cemetery" target="_blank">Cemetery with the Rev. Freddy Williford officiating.

Mr. Allen, a native of Jefferson County, was a civil service retiree with the Fort Gordon Fire Department. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and had retired from the Louisville Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Stonewall Lodge No. 98, the Augusta Valley Scottish Rite and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a Shriner and a life member of the American Legion.

Survivors include one niece, Kathy Allen Chalker, Warrenton, and three nephews, Barry Allen, Warrenton, Bobby Allen, Montgomery, Ala., and Willie Jay Allen, Louisville.

Pallbearers will be John Livingston, Sammy Arrington, Arthur Lee West, Don Rhodes, Barry Allen, Bobby Allen, Marvin Hartley and Gene Henderson.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of Louisville Volunteer Fire Department and Stonewall Lodge No. 98.

Memorials may be made to the Louisville First Baptist Church Elevator Fund, 101 E. Ninth St., Louisville, GA 30434.

Friends may call at the residence of Julia Allen, 301 Elm St.

Mr. Andrew Delosky

Army retiree

Mr. Andrew J. Delosky, 79, of 1608 North Leg Road, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998, at Columbia Augusta Medical Center.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Arlington National cemetery" target="_blank">Cemetery, Arlington, Va.

Mr. Delosky, a native of Simpson, Pa., was retired from the Army as a master sergeant and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a survivor of Pearl Harbor.

The family said he was loved and will be missed.

Survivors include his wife, Magdalena Delosky; one son, Andrew J. Delosky, Atlanta; one daughter, Irene D. Hamilton, Augusta; and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be members of the Army Ceremonial Detail.

Mr. Frank Eidson

Monsanto Co. retiree

SALUDA, S.C. -- Mr. Frank Eidson, 63, of 403 Travis Ave., died Thursday, Jan. 22, 1998.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Red Bank Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery" target="_blank">cemetery.

Mr. Eidson, a native of Saluda, he was retired from Monsanto Co. and was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church, where he served as treasurer and was a former deacon.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Crouch Eidson; two sons, Frank Gary Eidson, Clemson, and William ``Billy" Alexander Semple, Brandon, Miss.; one daughter, Glenda Hentz, Little Mountain; one brother, Ernest Tucker Eidson, Saluda; one sister, Betty Doolittle, Modoc; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Red Bank Baptist Church, 309 E. Church St., Saluda, SC 29138.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Palmer Funeral Home.

Mr. Maliek Goodwater

HILTON HEAD, S.C. -- Mr. Maliek Lavar Goodwater, 18, of 234 Beach City Road, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998, in Fairfax.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Peter African Methodist Episcopal Church, Gifford, with the Rev. Robert Gordon officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia cemetery" target="_blank">Cemetery, Brunson.

Mr. Goodwater, a native of Hampton County, was a member of St. Peter African Methodist Episcopal Church.

Survivors include his father, Hulester Bing Jr.; his mother Vera Goodwater; two sisters, Shalonda A. Goodwater, Fort Hood, Texas, and Shataye N. Goodwater, Estill; and his maternal grandparents, Mrs. Rena Blake, Estill, and Louis Bostick, Pittsburgh.

Friends may call at Riley's Funeral Home, Fairfax.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at St. Peter African Methodist Episcopal Church.
