JOHNSTON, S.C. -- Mr. Richard Green, 55, of 207 Bland Ave., died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 1998, in Edgefield County.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Amos and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Lewis Burt officiating. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Baptist Church cemetery" target="_blank">Cemetery.
Mr. Green, a native of Jackson, Miss., was retired.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Green; three sons, Richard Green, Keith Green and Larry Green, all of Mississippi; and one brother, Willie Green, West Columbia.

GIRARD, Ga. -- Mr. Terrance Griffin, 20, of 165 Penn Lane, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 1998, at his residence.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m.today at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Romles Pierce and Berry Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Thankful Baptist Church cemetery" target="_blank">cemetery.
Mr. Griffin, a native of Richmond County, had been a machine operator with Globe Business Furniture. He was a member of Thankful Baptist Church, where he served on the usher board.
Survivors include one daughter, Sawiyah Griffin, Girard; his father, John W. Griffin, Girard; his mother, Edith Rogers, Girard; one brother, Terry Deon Griffin, Girard; one sister, Jessica Roberts, Girard; and one stepgrandmother, Arlene Burnett, Girard.
Pallbearers will be his uncles.

THOMSON -- Mr. James Edward Harris Jr., 52, of 115 Sills St., died Friday, Jan. 9, 1998, at his residence.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Jones Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. John Henry Bush officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery" target="_blank">cemetery.
Mr. Harris, a native of McDuffie County, had been employed with United Technologies and was a member of Jones Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Willie Ceasars and Leonard Lamont Reynolds, both of Thomson, and James Edward Harris III, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; one daughter, Latesha Nikki Harris, Fort Lauderdale; his stepfather, Frank Freeman, Thomson; three brothers, Jesse J. Freeman, Frank Harris Jr. and James Jones, all of Thomson; two sisters, Mary Lois Houston Williams, Brunswick, and Betty Jo Pugh, Thomson; and one grandchild.

Mr. Nathaniel ``Napoleon" Irvin, 32, of 1132 12th Ave., died Sunday, Jan. 11, 1998, at Medical College of Georgia Hospital.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Second Mount Moriah Baptist Church with the Rev. Andy Thornton officiating. Burial will be in Southview cemetery" target="_blank">Cemetery.
Mr. Irvin, a native of Augusta, was a physical education instructor and a member of Second Mount Moriah Baptist Church. He was a graduate of T.W. Josey High School and the University of South Carolina.
Survivors include one daughter, Brittney Irvin; his father, James H. Irvin; his mother, Jeannette Irvin; three brothers, James H. Irvin III, Antione B. Irvin and Charles Irvin, all of Augusta; three sisters, Joyce L. Diggs, Annette V. Grace and Connie E. Irvin; and his grandmother, Louise Darrian, Augusta.

STATESBORO, Ga. -- Mr. Valentine Jenkins, 87, died Thursday, Jan. 15, 1998, at his residence.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Trinity Episcopal Church with the Revs. Ron Davison and David Stachurski officiating. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Brundige City cemetery" target="_blank">Cemetery, Brundige, Ala.
Mr. Jenkins, a native of Charleston, S.C., was retired from the South Carolina National Guard and from the civil service as a records keeper. He was a World War II veteran. He had been a volunteer with Bulloch Memorial Hospital and the Statesboro Regional Library and was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
Survivors include one brother-in-law, Lamar Kennedy, Lawrenceville.
The family will receive friends at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Trinity Episcopal Church.

Mr. Hubert Bryson Lewis, 73, died Friday, Jan. 16, 1998, at Windermere Nursing Home.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Poteet Funeral Home, Wheeler Road, with the Rev. Richard Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Abilene cemetery" target="_blank">Cemetery, Evans.
Mr. Lewis, a native of Augusta, had retired from the civil service and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, where he was a member of the choir. He was a member and former president of the Rotary Club.
Survivors include one sister, Dorothy Mae Lewis, Gracewood, Ga.

THOMSON -- Mrs. Elizabeth ``Mimi" H. Lofton, 95, of 811 Mimosa St., died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 1998, at Columbia Augusta Medical Center.

Mrs. Lofton, a native of McDuffie County, was a retired factory worker with the Garment Workers Trade and was a member of Springfield Baptist Church and Eastern Star.
Survivors include five nephews, Melvyn Grant, Herman Appling Jr., John R. White, Wellington Appling and Dennis Venson; and four nieces, Juanita Grant, Evelyn Washington, Joyce R. Hedgepeth and Cheryle D. Appling.

Mrs. Mingle, a native of Sylvania, was employed by Screven County Community Action in the transportation department. She was a member of New Home Welcome Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph Mingle Jr., Sylvania; one stepson, Joseph Bernard Parrish, Hiltonia; and one grandchild.
