Buford Taylor
Services for Buford Taylor will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Glorious Hope Baptist Church with burial in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Taylor, 45, died Monday, May 8, 2000. Son of the late John and Kate Taylor, he was born in Bibb County and graduated from Southwest High School. An Army veteran, he worked at Alleghany Rubber. He was a member of Turner Tabernacle Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Taylor; children Amber Taylor, Brandon Taylor, Travis Taylor, Charity Williams, Marcus Taylor and Gary Taylor, all of Macon; brothers John Taylor of California and Tyrone Taylor of Macon; and four grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Bentley & Sons Funeral Home and may be contacted at 1089 Brisbaine St. The body will be in the church at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Myrtice Thomas
MILAN - Services for Myrtice Hinson Thomas will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Milan Baptist Church with burial in Telfair Memorial Gardens. Thomas, 89, died Wednesday, May 10, 2000. Born in Bleckley County, she was the daughter of the late J.B. and Della Garrett Hinson. She was a retired schoolteacher and member of the Telfair-Wheeler Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of Milan Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Jerry Thomas of Northport, Ala., and Harry Ware of Milan; brothers and sisters, Ronald Hinson of Lavonia, Gilbert Hinson of Sycamore, Billy Hinson of Augusta, Bernice Campbell of Columbus, Miss., Geraldine Thomas of Conyers, Betty Walsh of Zellwood, Fla., and Barbara Gaines of Marietta; several grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Vaughn Funeral Home, McRae. Memorials may be made to Guy and Myrtice Thomas, Christian Education Fund, c/o Milan Baptist Church, P.O. Box 157, Milan 31060 or Milan Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 157, Milan 31060.

Douglas Underwood
MILLEDGEVILLE - Services for Douglas Alan Underwood will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Moores Funeral Home with burial in Scenic Memorial Gardens. Underwood, 50, died Tuesday, May 9, 2000, at his residence. He was a vocational instructor, retired from the Georgia Department of Corrections.

Survivors include his wife, Connie Underwood; children Doug Underwood Jr. and Jodi Chapman, both of Milledgeville; and three grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Joe West Sr.
UNADILLA - Services for Joe B. West Sr. will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Snow United Methodist Church with burial in Magnolia Park Cemetery. West, 87, died Tuesday, May 9, 2000. Son of the late Thomas and Rebecca E. West, he was a bus driver for Houston County schools and was retired from the city of Warner Robins Maintenance Department. He was a member of Snow United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Audrey West; children Betty Walling of Kathleen and Joe West Jr. of Warner Robins; stepchildren Leita Fowler of Florence, S.C., and Robbie Moore of Knoxville, Tenn.; sisters Grace Cook of Americus, Elizabeth Jones of Verona, Wis., and Emmie Christmas of McDonough; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and four great-stepgrandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 in Bowen-NeSmith Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Snow United Methodist Church, c/o JoAnn Kirkus, P.O. Box 265, Unadilla 31091.

Richard Williams Jr.
Services for Richard "Ronnie" Williams Jr. will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Ash Street Church of God in Christ with burial in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Williams, 49, died Tuesday, May 9, 2000. He worked for Shoney's Commissary Operations for 15 years and was co-owner of Grace Automotive. He was a member of Solid Rock Full Gospel Tabernacle Church, where he was chairman of the deacon board, Sunday School supervisor and lead percussionist.

Survivors include his wife, Rose Williams; children Latisha Buckner, Rushell Williams and Shirl Smith, all of Macon, and Harold Smith of Atlanta; mother, Annie Mae Williams of Macon; brothers and sisters George Williams, David Williams, the Rev. Leroy Williams, Melvin Poe Jr., Paulette Mills and Lorene Williams, all of Macon, Patricia Williams of Jones County and Dorothy Tuff of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and six grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at Solid Rock Full Gospel Tabernacle Church and may be contacted at 3423 and 3419 Simmons St. The body will be placed in Ash Street Church of God in Christ at 1 p.m. Saturday. Bentley & Sons Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

FloreneAndrews
Services for FloreneAndrews will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Bentley and Sons Funeral home with burial in Middle Georgia Memory Gardens.Andrews, 85, died Sunday, June 11, 2000 in San Diego. Born in Griswoldville, she was the daughter of the late Madison Sr. and Louise Ford Greely. She attended Bibb County public schools and was a homemaker. She lived in San Diego for 60 years.

Survivors include her sisters Margaret Cummings and Emily Green, both of Macon.

The family may be contacted at 1555 Williams Road.

Ruben Anthes
Services for Ruben Alexander Anthes were private. Anthes, 17, died Monday, June 5, 2000. Born in Welland, Ontario, Canada, he was a student at Windsor Academy.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Valerie and Robert Brewster, both of Macon; father, Timothy Anthes of Welland, Ontario; sister Desiree Anthes of Macon; grandparents, Isobel and Konard Eiger of Port Colborne, Ontario, Marie Anthes of Welland, Ontario; great-grandmother, Mary Domik of Niagara Falls, Ontario; stepgrandparents, Judy and Raymond Brewster of Amherst, N.Y.; and stepgrandmother, Pearl Brewster of Newfane, N.Y.

Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

Jeanne Atkinson
Services for Jeanne Ross Atkinson were held Monday, June 19, 2000, in Vineville United Methodist Church with burial in Riverside Cemetery. Atkinson, 71, died Friday, June 16, 2000. Born in New York City, she moved to Macon in 1953. She was the daughter of the late Stuart and Mary Catherine Ross and was a member of Idle Hour County Club, Hill and Dale Garden Club, Friends of the Library, Medical Auxiliary and Middle Georgia Historical Society. The widow of Dr. Theodore Atkinson, she was a member of Vineville United Methodist Church and MackAndrews Sunday School Class. She was the recipient of the Heart Association Volunteer of the Year Award in 1982.

Survivors include her son Harold Atkinson of Macon; brothers and sisters Don Ross, Stuart Ross and Gwendolyn Ross, all of Atlanta, Cecil Ross of Allenhurst, N.J., Kenneth Ross of Richmond Hill, Joan Spratt of Alpharetta and Valerie Cronin of Dunwoody; and one grandchild.

Memorials may be made to Jeanne Atkinson Fine Arts Memorial Fund, First Presbyterian Day School, 5671 Calvin Drive, Macon 31210. Hart's Mortuary had charge of the arrangements.

Ruby Bell
DUBLIN - Services for Ruby Dell-Mae Etta Bell with be at 2 p.m. Thursday in C.D. Dudley Memorial Chapel with burial in William Chapel Mission Cemetery. Bell died Tuesday, June 13, 2000. The daughter of the late Willie Lee Bell Sr., she joined the William Chapel Baptist Church at an early age. She later moved to Detroit.

Survivors include her children Lorraine Bell Ali and R. Belle Phillips, both of Detroit; mother, Bertha Lee Hunt of East Dublin; sister Mamie Stafford of Detroit; brother Willie Lee Bell Jr. of Newark, N.J.; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Joanne Brantley
HARRISON - Services for Joanne Lewis Brantley will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Brantley residence. Brantley, 49, died Monday, June 19, 2000. A native of Washington County, she was a florist and a mail carrier. She was a member of Piney Mount United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Rex Keith Brantley; her children Tara Pagan Henderson of Chattanooga, Tenn., Mandy Pagan Hendricks of Sandersville, Jimmy Pagan of Harrison and Joseph W. Pagan of Soperton; and five grandchildren.

May and Smith Funeral Directors, Tennille Chapel has charge of the arrangements.

Margaret Bullard
FITZGERALD - Services for Margaret Bullard will be private. Bullard, 79, died Saturday, June 17, 2000. A native of Fayetteville, N.C., she had lived in Fitzgerald since 1981. She was the daughter of the late Henry Bullard and Irene Bryant Bullard. She was a homemaker and of Baptist faith.

Survivors include her niece Barbara Davis of Augusta.

Paulk Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.

Edward Clelland
PERRY - Services for the Rev. Edward Joseph Clelland will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Christ's Sanctified Holy Church with burial in the church cemetery. Clelland, 91, died Saturday, June 17, 2000, in West Columbia, S.C. A native of Colorado Springs, Col., he was the son of the late Edward Francis and Sarah Elizabeth Alice Bridges Clelland. He was the leader of Christ's Sanctified Holy Church. He held serveral offices in church organizations. He was named Who's Who in South Carolina. He was the widower of Beatrice May Clelland and had a second home in Perry.

Survivors include his children Bertle Jo Clelland of West Columbia, S.C., Mike and Bonnie Moore and Edward J. and Terri Clelland, all of Jacksonville, Fla. and Terry and Rene Clelland of Wilmington, N.C.; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild and 10 stepgrandchildren.

The family will receive friends at 7 p.m. today in Christ's Sanctified Holy Church, West Columbia, S.C. Memorials may be made to Christ's Sanctified Holy Church, c/o Gail Collier, 2117 Raven Ct., West Columbia, S.C. 29169 or Christ's Sanctified Holy Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Jean Riggs, 1144 Brookside Drive, Hanahan, S.C. 29406. Walter Cole
FORSYTH - Services for Walter Lee Cole will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Towaliga County Line Baptist Church, Butts County, with burial in Rest Haven Cemetery, Forsyth. Cole, 34, died Saturday, June 17, 2000. A member of Towaliga County Line Baptist Church, he worked for the Forsyth city sanitation department. He attended the public schools of Monroe County.

Survivors include his wife, Rosa Ponder; his children Ellene Cole, Walter Lee Wright, Rashaum Wright and Regina Wright, all of Americus; mother, Ellene Cole of Forsyth; grandmother Frances Phinazee of Forsyth; and brother and sister Robert Lee Cole and Sarah Cole, both of Jones County.

The body will be placed in the church one hour before services. The family may be contacted at 5607 Highway 83 North. Freeman Brothers Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.

Wendell Creech
HAZLEHURST - Services for Wendell Creech will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Miles Funeral Home with burial in the Union Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Creech, 54, died Sunday, June 18, 2000. A native of Jeff Davis County, he was the son of the late Arthur Creech Jr. He was a sign painter and a member of the Union Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include his mother, Nan Creech of Hazlehurst; brother and sister Sammy Creech and Mary Carter both of Hazlehurst; and niece Tammy Spivey of Douglas.

The family will receive friends beginning at 6 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
