Roger Ussery
MCRAE - Services for Roger J. Ussery Sr. will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Macedonia Baptist Church. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Dexter, with full military honors. Ussery died Monday, June 5, 2000. A native of Laurens County, he was the son of the late Albert J. and Sarah Frances Fann Ussery McDaniel. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a survivor of Pearl Harbor. He was a member and deacon of Macedonia Baptist Church and was a Baptist minister. He received the Pearl Harbor Congressional Commemorative Medal of Honor and the National VFW "Aide-De-Camp" Award. He was named to the VFW Post 7394 Hall of Fame and was the 8th District American Legion Commander. He served as commander of VFW Posts 7394 and 8536, both of which he chartered. He was a member of American Legion Post 211. A graduate of the University of Georgia, he received an undergraduate degree in horticulture and animal husbandry. He had a six year certificate in special education. He was the former owner and operator of the Wilkinson County newspaper "The Bulletin." He was an educator for more than 40 years and taught in Telfair, Laurens and Coffee counties. He also taught in Alachua County, Fla.
Survivors include his wife, Jenelle Ussery of Milan; children Roger Ussery Jr. of Homosassa, Fla., James Timothy Ussery of Dexter, Richard Wilson Ussery of Dublin, Mary Fances Ussery Vaughn of Macon and Betty Gwendolyn Newsome of Hollywood, Fla.; brother Miles Ray Ussery of Jackson; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today and Wednesday in Vaughn Funeral Home.
Pearl Vinson
WARNER ROBINS - Services for Pearl B. Vinson will be 3 p.m. Wednesday in Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with burial in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Vinson, 79, died Sunday, June 4, 2000. A homemaker, she was the widow of James Vinson. A Baptist, she was a native of Wilkinson County.
Survivors include his children Walter E. Vinson of Macon, Larry M. Vinson, Pensacola, Fla., Judy Howard of Bonaire and Rhonda Z. Walls; and seven grandchildren.
Annie Wilbanks
EASTMAN - Services for Annie E. Wilbanks will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Horne Funeral Home with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Wilbanks, 95, died Sunday, June 4, 2000. A native of Dodge County, she was the daughter of Charlotte Buchanan and Richard Barnes Edwards. A graduate of Eastman High School, she played basketball. She was a trained Morse operator for Western Union and worked in Miami and McRae. A conductor for the Southern Railroad, she was also an agent of Greyhound Bus Lines. A member Eastman First United Methodist Church, she was an avid gardener. She was the widow of John Taylor Wilbanks.
Survivors include her children Charlieze W. Spencer of Warner Robins and Jan W. Fountain of Wake Forest, N.C; her sister Aileen Estes of Augusta; seven grandchildren and nine grandchildren.

Willie Williams
PERRY - Services for Willie "Bro" Williams will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday in New Hope Baptist Church with burial in Rest Haven Cemetery. Williams died Friday, June 2, 2000. A native of Bibb County, he was the son of the late Lewis and Gertrude Williams and the widower of Maebell Williams. A member of New Hope Baptist Church he was a member of Mount Zion Lodge #276. He was retired from the city of Perry.
Survivors include his son Gennell Williams of Fort Valley; sister Margaret Duffie of Fort Valley; and five grandchildren.

Linda Woodard
CORDELE - Services for Linda Doris Woodard will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Pitts Church of God with Interment in Sunnyside Cemetery. Woodard, 43, died Sunday June 4, 2000. She was the assistant manager at Pridgen Brothers.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Woodard Jr.; daughter Amanda Woodard of Cordele; parents, James and Helen Fay Elliott of Sycamore; and sister and brothers Roger Elliott of Cordele, Ricky Elliott of Sycamore and Rhonda Bundrick of Rebecca.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight at Dekle Funeral Home.
Ed Wooten
LUMBER CITY - Services for Ed Wooten will be at 2 p.m. today in Lumber City Baptist Church with Interment in Riverside Cemetery
in Telfair County. Wooten, 75, died Monday June 5, 2000. Born in Telfair County, he was the son of the late John and Corrine Browning Wooten. He was a truck driver and a member of Lumber City Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Burkett Wooten; children Gayle Carver and Glenn Wooten, both of Lumber City, Carol Thompson of Scotland, Linda Williamson Monti of Belle Glade, Fla. and Stanley Wooten of Cordele; stepson Johnny Burkett of Lumber City; sister Kathalene Moyer of Orlando, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Cynthia Ann Glenn Brazil
Jackson - Services for Cynthia Ann Glenn Brazil will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at South River Church, Fincherville. Burial will be Friday at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Chicago, Ill. Brazil, 50, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000. Born in Chicago, Brazil moved to Butts County in 1988. She was employed at the Atlanta Constitution.
Survivors include her mother, Josephine Wilson of Chicago; daughters, Florence Watkins of Jackson and Camille Glenn of Griffin; son, Kevin Glenn of Jackson; grandmother, Dulin L. Dawson of Chicago; brothers, Raymond Glenn of Covington, Oliver Franklin of Chicago and Nathan Wilson of Florida; sisters, Justine Franklin of Batesville, Miss., and Michelle Wilson of Chicago; and seven grandchildren.

John Thomas Causey Jr.
CARROLLTON - Services for John Thomas Causey Jr. were Sunday in the chapel of J. Hoyt Thomas Funeral Home, with burial in New Brooklyn Baptist Church. Causey, 72, died Thursday, Aug. 11, 2000. The son of the late John Thomas Causey Sr. and the late Stella Mae Dewberry Causey, he was born
in Carroll County. Causey lived most of his life in the Chamblee area before returning to Carrollton three months ago. He was retired from Cutler Hammer/Eaton Corp., where he worked for almost 20 years as a supervisor in the electrical engineering department. He was a member of Internal Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local No. 613, Atlanta. He was also a member of the New Brooklyn Baptist Church. Causey was preceded in death by two grandsons, one great-grandson and a sister.
Survivors include his wife, Pelma Kilgore Causey of Carrollton; sons, John D. Causey of Carrollton and Alfred L. Causey of Tallapoosa; daughters, Barbara A. Benson of Tallapoosa and Kathy Richards of Carrollton; sisters, Mona Merriman of Forsyth, Jeanette Humbert of Holly Hills, S.C., Janice Norris of Holly Hills, S.C., and Sandra Skinner of Aurora, Pa.; brothers, Jesse Causey of Batesburg, S.C., and Frank Causey of Lawrenceville; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Doris Cook
SANDERSVILLE - Services for Doris Ann Martin Cook will be at 2 p.m. today in Sisters Baptist Church with burial in Brownwood Cemetery. Cook, 58, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2000. A native of Johnson County, she was the daughter of the late E. L. Martin and Sally Cordry Martin. She was past co-owner of Cook Ice Company, founded in 1978, and was a member of Sisters Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Cook Jr.; children Jeffrey Cook and Pam Flint, both of Sandersville; sisters Ella Mae Sweat of Tennille, Virginia Smith of Sandersville; mother-in-law, Lorene Cook of Sandersville; and two grandchildren.

Ford, 79, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2000, at Houston Medical Center. Ford was employed in aircraft maintenance and was a member of Stevens Grove Baptist Church, Athens. She was the widow of Ned Ford.
Survivors include her children, John "Chuck" Hall, Andrew Ford, Gary Ford and Glenda Manry, all of Warner Robins, and Brenda Spears of Bonaire; brothers and sisters, Monroe Aaron of Gainesville, George Aaron of Arnoldsville, Frances Browning of Dahlonega, Mary Rollins of Warner Robins and Floy Davis of Macon; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Addie Mae Grayer
Services for Addie Mae Grayer will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Stubbs Chapel Baptist Church, with burial in Mt. Hope AME Church Cemetery. Grayer, 53, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000. A Bibb County native, she was a member of Mt. Hope AME Church and the Rising Star Society. She was a retired employee of Keebler Inc.
Survivors include her parents, Russell Grayer Sr. and Sadie Mae Grayer, Macon; children, Beverly Grayer and Steven Grayer, both of Macon; sisters, Carolyn G. Bennett and Gwendolyn Grayer, both of Macon, and Diane Fraizer of Hawkinsville; brothers, Joseph Grayer of Tampa, Fla., and Elbert Grayer, Robert Grayer and Walter Grayer, all of Macon; and two grandchildren.

Rev. Sam Greene Jr.
BRADLEY - Services for the Rev. Sam Greene Jr. will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at New Damascus Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Greene, 80, died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000, in a local hospital. The son of the late Sam Greene Sr. and Minnie Greene, he was a member of Ellis Chapel Baptist Church. Greene was a World War II veteran, past president of Lily of the Valley No. 1 and Sunlight Brothers and Sisters Lodge. He was a Prince Hall Mason and was retired from the Keebler Co., Macon.
Survivors include his children Catherine Myrick, Jerome Greene, Gussie Sutton, Wayne Greene Sr. and Sam Greene III, all of Gray, the Rev. Wilbur Greene and Mary Blaunt, both of Macon; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Madie Lee Wooten Hall
ALAMO - Services for Madie Lee Wooten Hall will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Pleasant Hill Church of God, with burial in Horne Mission Cemetery. Hall, 77, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000, in Brunswick. Born in Wheeler County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Estell Wooten.
Survivors include her children, Julia Wilcox, Will Otis Hall and Lee Otis Hall, all of Alamo, Eula Ballard of Brunswick and Stella Wilson of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sisters, Dora Gay of Brunswick and Viola Woodard of Alamo; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Phil Harris
COLUMBUS - Graveside services for Phil Wingfield Harris will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Rest Haven Cemetery, Monroe. Harris, 92, Monday, Aug. 14, 2000, after a lengthy illness. The daughter of the late Sidney Terrel Wingfield and Nina Davis Wingfield, she was the widow of the Virgil V. Harris Jr. She was a long-time pianist for the Eatonton Presbyterian Church. In 1950 she was selected as Putnam County's Mother of the Year. She was preceded in death by a son, Henry Edwards Harris.
Survivors include her children, Wingfield Harris of Winder, Phil Davis Harris of Columbus, Dr. Jewett Marvin Harris of Clinton and Virgil V. Harris of Montgomery; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
