Simons, 89, died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000.
He was a heavy equipment operator, retired from Martin Marietta Aggregates and was a farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Eunice Simons; son, Ernie Simons of Sparta; brother, Louis Simons of Warrenton; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight in the funeral home.

Paul Thigpen
SOPERTON - Services for Paul Joseph Thigpen will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Sammons Funeral Home with burial in Thigpen Cemetery.
Thigpen, 70, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000.
He was a retired carpenter.
Survivors include his son, Mark Thigpen of Muskegon Heights, Mich.; stepson, Edward Thigpen; sisters and brothers, Laura Davis and Geneal McDaniel of Soperton, Alda Edge of Vidalia, S.T. Thigpen of Gainesville, Fla., and Jerry Thigpen of Jonesboro, Ark.; and three grandchildren.

Services for Debra Ann Thomas will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Ash Street Church of God in Christ with burial in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Thomas, 40, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000.
She was formerly employed at Robins Air Force Base and The Macon Telegraph.

Weber, 40, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000. He was a member of Dudley Baptist Church.

Services for Mary Eloise Brook will be private. Brook, 82, died Saturday, May 6, 2000, in a local hospital.
Born in Huntington, W.Va., she had lived in Macon for the past 16 years.
She was the daughter of the late Badger and Cornella Smallwood Williams.
The widow of Harry William Morris and William Varina Brook, she was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Survivors include her children, Mary Rebecca Morris of Stockbridge, Marianna Yvonne Bailey of Henderson, Nev., and David Scott Morris of Washington ; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Born in Macon County, he was the son of the late Otis Cromer Sr. and Minnie Cromer.
He served in the Air Force for four years and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
