James Pentz Jr.
CENTERVILLE - Services for James L. Pentz Jr. will be at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery. Pentz, 71, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1998. He was a veteran of World War II, the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. He was a retired command pilot from the Air Force and had also served in the Army Air Corps and Marine Corps. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross, two Air Medals with four oak leaf clusters and the Air Force Commendation Medal. He was a broker and sales associate at Town and Country and Cribb Realty. He later worked with Federal Saving and Loan Associates as vice president of computer operations and the Resolution Trust Corp. He was a Mason and a Shriner.
Survivors include his wife, Harriette Pentz; children, Jim Pentz III of Boone, N.C., and Jeff Pentz of Comer; brothers, Jack Pentz and Jerry Pentz, both of Memphis, Tenn.; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Heritage Memorial Funeral Home, Warner Robins. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice of Houston County, 2066 Watson Blvd., Warner Robins 31093, or the donor's favorite charity.
Inez Poole
SPARTA - Services for Inez Norris Poole will be at 11 a.m. today in Culverton Cemetery. Poole, 76, died Monday, Nov. 30, 1998. She was a homemaker and member of Culverton Methodist Church.
Survivors include her son, Allen Poole; and brother and sister, Alton Norris and Mildred McArthur.

Willie Riley
MILAN - Services for Willie H. Riley will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Harper Chapel Baptist Church, Chauncey, with burial in Mullins Hill Cemetery. Riley, 41, died Monday, Nov. 30, 1998.
Survivors include his brothers and sisters, Ernest Riley, Levi Riley, J.B. Riley, Tommie Riley, Oscar Riley, Airfonzo Riley, Sylvester Riley, Katie Hughes, Minnie Roby, Sallie Gordon, Dorothy Burns and Carolyn Williams.

Catherine Towns
VIENNA - Services for Catherine "Sister" Towns will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Ebenezer Baptist Church with burial in Vienna City Cemetery. Towns, 66, died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 1998.
Survivors include her children, Angela Towns, Madie Coney, Catherine Towns and Robert Towns, all of Vienna, and Audrey Towns of Macon; brother, Elijah Towns of Florida; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The body will be in J.W. Williams Funeral Home from noon to 9:30 p.m. today.
Audrey Townsend
EAST DUBLIN - Services for Audrey Brantley Townsend will be at 2 p.m. today in Union Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Townsend, 64, died Monday, Nov. 30, 1998. She was the daughter of the late John and Gertrude Brantley. She was retired from Batco Co.
Survivors include her husband, Walter Townsend; children, Donald Townsend and Norma Townsend, both of East Dublin; sister, Olise Hester of East Dublin; and half sister, Emma Cauley of Mount Vernon.

MILLEDGEVILLE - Services for John J. Wesley Jr. will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Slater's Funeral Home with burial in Bone Cemetery. Wesley died Monday, Nov. 30, 1998. He was retired from Griffin Pipe Co.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Wesley; children, Mary Wesley of Conyers, Joann Ranford of Lithonia, Donald Wesley, Louis Evans and Bernestine Gibson, all of Milledgeville; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Barbara Williams
JEFFERSONVILLE - Services for Barbara M. Williams will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Jeffersonville Church of God with burial in Westview Cemetery, Wrightsville. Williams, 70, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1998. A former resident of Macon, she was the daughter of the late John McAfee. She was a member of Jeffersonville Church of God and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her daughter, Glenda Little; mother, Elsie McAfee of Jeffersonville; brother, John McAfee Jr. of Eatonton; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Diane Young
FITZGERALD - Services for Diane G. Young will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Paulk Funeral Home with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Young, 52, died Monday, Nov. 30, 1998. She was a supervisor at Y&W Sportswear and formerly worked at H.R. Kaminsky & Sons. She was a member of Englewood Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, J.W. Young; children, Jamie Young and Gina Thompson, both of Fitzgerald; mother, Gladys Garrett of Fitzgerald; and two grandchildren.

Elizabeth Bruskie
GRAY - Services for Elizabeth Bellamy Armstrong Bruskie will be at 3 p.m. today in Riverside Cemetery, Macon. Bruskie, 82, died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 1998. Born in Americus, she had lived most of her life in Macon. She was the daughter of the late O.A. and Mary Tower Armstrong. She graduated from Mount de Sales Academy. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her children, Pamela Wyche of Swainsboro, Martha Preston of Blairsville, Mrs. Frank Miguel Jr. of Bradenton, Fla., J.B. Bruskie Jr. of Dallas, Texas , and John Bruskie of Macon; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

MONTICELLO - Services for Hillyer Joseph Carey will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Jordan Funeral Home with burial in West View Cemetery. Carey, 86, died Thursday, Nov. 26, 1998. A lifelong resident of Jasper County, he was the son of the late Edward J. and Aurie Odell Carey. A Navy veteran of World War II, he worked at Jasper County High School and the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of Monticello Baptist Church.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

LYONS - Services for Dianne Turner Carroll will be at 3 p.m. today in Ronnie L. Stewart & Son Funeral Service, Vidalia, with burial in Smyrna United Methodist Church Cemetery, Uvalda. Carroll, 49, died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 1998, in a Vidalia hospital. She was a distributor for The Macon Telegraph. She was a member of New Corinth Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne Carroll; children, Sonja Clements of Lyons and Justin Clements of Baxley; brothers, Emory Wallace Turner and Charles Eric Turner, both of Uvalda; and four grandchildren.
Essie Chastain
HAZLEHURST - Services for Essie M. Chastain were Wednesday in Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home. Burial was in Upson Memorial Gardens. Chastain, 89, died Sunday, Nov. 22, 1998. Born in Cowan, Tenn., she had lived in Upson County most of her life. She was a spooler, retired from Martha Mills. She was a member of Silvertown Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children, James Chastain of Rancho Cordova, Calif., Gerald Chastain of Thomaston and Jack Chastain of Hazlehurst; sister, Mary Roush of Orlando, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Virginia Cofer
LOUISVILLE - Services for Virginia McDonald Cofer will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Louisville Associate Reform Presbyterian Church with burial in Louisville City Cemetery. Cofer, 86, died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 1998. She was a homemaker and member of Louisville Associate Reform Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her children, Michael Cofer of Louisville and Edith Hall of Sanford, Fla.; sister, Margaret Thompson of Greenwood, S.C.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Emanuel Daniel
KATHLEEN - Services for Emanuel E. Daniel will be at 11 a.m. today in Christopher-Smith Funeral Home, Warner Robins, with burial in Parkway Memorial Gardens, with full military honors. Daniel, 62, died Monday, Nov. 23, 1998. Born in Alabama, he had lived in Middle Georgia since 1965. A Navy veteran and member of the Fleet Reserve, he was retired from Robins Air Force Base. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Daniel; children, Stephen Daniel of Allen, Texas , and Peggy Vess of Kathleen; sisters, Eunice Hill, Ruth Hastings and Evie Goolsley, all of Alabama; and four grandchildren.

J.S. Geoghogan III
MILLEDGEVILLE - Services for J.S. Geoghogan III will be at 11 a.m. in Rose Hill Cemetery, Ashburn. Geoghogan, 72, died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 1998. He was a retired farmer. Born in Turner County, he had lived in Milledgeville for the past 10 years. He was the son of the late J.S. Geoghogan Jr. and Clara Peacock Geoghogan. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Ashburn First Baptist Church and Sycamore Masonic Lodge No. 210.
Survivors include his children, Randy Geoghogan and Susan McCard, both of Ashburn, and Larry Geoghogan of Titusville, Fla.; brothers and sister, H.L. Geoghogan of Ashburn, Jim Geoghogan of Tampa, Fla., and Doris McDaniel of Macon; and four grandchildren.
