Sammie Jones
MARSHALLVILLE - Services for Sammie Lee Jones will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Glorious Hope Primitive Baptist Church with burial in Oglethorpe City Cemetery. Jones, 73, died Monday, Nov. 30, 1998. He was the widow of Chocolate Mae Jones.
Survivors include her sisters, Julia English of Andersonville and Lula Brown of Fort Valley.
The body will be in the church at 1 p.m. Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel has charge of arrangements.
Jim R. Jones
NEW YORK CITY - Services for Jim Rufus Jones will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in M.C. Smith Funeral Home, Sandersville, with burial in Rest Haven Memorial Garden. Jones, 74, died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 1998.
Survivors include his wife, Dessie Jones; son, Donny Jones of Charlotte, N.C.; brothers and sister, Robert Jones of Philadelphia, Mollie Strowbridge of Chester and Lee Jones of Youngstown, Ohio.
Dorothy Kime
HAWKINSVILLE - Services for Dorothy McGlohon Kime will be at 2 p.m. today in Hawkinsville First United Methodist Church. Kime, 88, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1998. She was a bookkeeper, retired from Miami Beach Community Church and Santi Enterprises. She was a member of Hawkinsville First United Methodist Church, Prayer Breakfast Group, Susannah Wesley Sunday School Class and Naomi Ruth Circle. She was a pink lady at Taylor Regional Hospital and a member of the Horizon 60 Club.
Survivors include her children, Perry Kime of California and Richard Kime of Wilmington, Vt.; and a grandchild.

Frances Lankford
ATLANTA - Services for Frances Griffin Lankford will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in Lyons City Cemetery. Lankford, 86, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1998. A former resident of Lyons, she graduated from Georgia Southern College and was a teacher. She was a member of Lyons United Methodist Church and the administrative board.
Survivors include her niece and nephews, Mary Schumacher of Boulder, Colo., Joel Griffin and Robert Griffin, both of Atlanta, and Ralph Lankford of Albany, N.Y..
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday in Jones-Stewart Funeral Home, Lyons.
Donald Lowe
WARNER ROBINS - Services for Donald E. Lowe will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in McCullough Funeral Home with burial in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Lowe, 63, died Monday, Nov. 30, 1998. He worked in maintenance for the Army.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Lowe; children, Debbie Bickford of Warner Robins and Russell Lowe of Greenfield, Ohio; stepchildren, Dawn Vansycle and Jerry Walker, both of Eston, Pa., Jo Ann Petchonka and James Petchonka, both of Warner Robins, Harry Petchonka of Phillipsburg, N.J.; brother and sister, Ralph Lowe Jr. of Hillsboro, Ohio, and Allma Johnson of Warner Robins; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

UVALDA - Services for Janice Lynette Duncan Miller will be at 3 p.m. today in Charlotte United Methodist Church with burial in Mosley Cemetery. Miller, 46, died Sunday, Nov. 29, 1998. A licensed practical nurse, she was a member of Charlotte United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her son, Lance Miller of Uvalda; and brother, Randy Duncan of Uvalda.

Eddie Miller
HAWKINSVILLE - Services for Eddie Frank Miller will be at 2 p.m. today in Mount Air Baptist Church with burial in Mount Air Cemetery. Miller, 72, died Saturday, Nov. 28, 1998. Owner of Eddie F. Miller Trucking Co., he was a 32nd-degree Mason and a member of the Pulaski County NAACP. He was a member of Mount Air Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Bertha Mae Miller; children, Joseph Miller, Lisa Speights and Sandra Miller, all of Paterson, N.J., Prince Miller of Atlanta, Debra Miller of Maple Heights, Ohio, Donna Miller and Keisha Miller, both of Hawkinsville; stepchildren, Gloria Moon and Michael Sheffield, both of Paterson, Joann Sheffield of Fort Stewart; sisters and brothers, Mary Frazier and Elgie Davis of Hawkinsville, Julia Jackson of Atlanta; stepbrother, Scott Ross of Burlington, N.C.; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Bertha Mills
CENTER POINT, Ala. - Services for Bertha Mills will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Hart's Mortuary, Macon, with burial in Macon Memorial Park. Mills died Monday, Nov. 30, 1998. She lived in Macon most of her life and was the daughter of the late Walter and Nancy Smith. The widow of Lester Mills, she was retired from Willingham Cotton Mills.
Survivors include her children, Nancy Gandy of Macon and Glenda Crawford of Center Point; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Verlie Moore
CORDELE - Services for Verlie M. Moore will be at 11 a.m. today in Cedar Creek Primitive Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Moore, 87, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 1998. She was a retired schoolteacher.
Survivors include her children, Don Moore and Pat Moore, both of Cordele; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Albert Peacock
EASTMAN - Services for Albert Peacock will be at 11 a.m. today in Southerland Funeral Chapel with burial in Bethlehem Cemetery. Peacock, 77, died Monday, Nov. 30, 1998. An Army veteran of World War II, he received the Purple Heart and Good Conduct Medal. He was retired from Robins Air Force Base. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Velma Peacock; children, Ray Peacock of Atlanta, Annette Clements of Sacramento, Calif., and Linda Mori of Birmingham, Ala.; sisters, Christine Neimi of Alexandria, Va., and Eudell Mullis of Eastman; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

James Pentz Jr.
CENTERVILLE - Services for James L. Pentz Jr. will be at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery. Pentz, 71, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1998. He was a veteran of World War II, the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. He was a retired command pilot from the Air Force and had also served in the Army Air Corps and Marine Corps. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross, two Air Medals with four oak leaf clusters and the Air Force Commendation Medal. He was a broker and sales associate at Town and Country and Cribb Realty. He later worked with Federal Saving and Loan Associates as vice president of computer operations and the Resolution Trust Corp. He was a Mason and a Shriner.
Survivors include his wife, Harriette Pentz; children, Jim Pentz III of Boone, N.C., and Jeff Pentz of Comer; brothers, Jack Pentz and Jerry Pentz, both of Memphis, Tenn.; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Heritage Memorial Funeral Home, Warner Robins. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice of Houston County, 2066 Watson Blvd., Warner Robins 31093, or the donor's favorite charity.
Inez Poole
SPARTA - Services for Inez Norris Poole will be at 11 a.m. today in Culverton Cemetery. Poole, 76, died Monday, Nov. 30, 1998. She was a homemaker and member of Culverton Methodist Church.
Survivors include her son, Allen Poole; and brother and sister, Alton Norris and Mildred McArthur.

VIENNA - Services for Catherine "Sister" Towns will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Ebenezer Baptist Church with burial in Vienna City Cemetery. Towns, 66, died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 1998.
Survivors include her children, Angela Towns, Madie Coney, Catherine Towns and Robert Towns, all of Vienna, and Audrey Towns of Macon; brother, Elijah Towns of Florida; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Audrey Townsend
EAST DUBLIN - Services for Audrey Brantley Townsend will be at 2 p.m. today in Union Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Townsend, 64, died Monday, Nov. 30, 1998. She was the daughter of the late John and Gertrude Brantley. She was retired from Batco Co.
Survivors include her husband, Walter Townsend; children, Donald Townsend and Norma Townsend, both of East Dublin; sister, Olise Hester of East Dublin; and half sister, Emma Cauley of Mount Vernon.
