Lena Mae Crussell Morgan
Lena Mae Crussell Morgan, age 79, of Stockbridge, Georgia, died April 28, 2009. She was born
in Bristol, Tennessee, to the late Edgar and Stella Jones Crussell of Piney Flats, Tennessee. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hermon Edward Morgan, and sister, Louella Over-bay. Lena was a member of Central Baptist Church. She re-tired in 1995 from the Henry County School Transportation Department, where she was a trainer and a school bus driver. She also was a supporter for the American Red Cross, and was instrumental in establishing the Cochran Library and the Com-munity Center in Stockbridge. Lena had an affinity for making people laugh at senior centers and local churches. Her greatest joy in life was being with family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Mary K. Masters, Kingsport, Tennessee, Glynn Edward (Liz) Morgan, Fayetteville, Vaughn (Mike) White, McDonough, Mark (Kim) Morgan, Raleigh Durham, North Carolina, Yvette Renee (Don) Kincheloe, Locust Grove, Eddie Ann (Joe) Tinney, Jackson; 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers, Al-len Crussell, Johnson City, Tennessee, Paul (Zalia) Crussell, Kingsport, Tennessee, Roy (Bur-nell) Crussell, Jonesborough, Tennessee; sister, Martha Crussell, Piney Flats, Tennessee; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dan Brantley
Chief Master Sergeant (Re-tired) Dan Brantley, age 81, of Stockbridge, Georgia, died April 28, 2009. He was born
in Tennille to the late Rufus S. and Annie Lovett Brantley. Chief Master Sergeant Brantley served the United States for 33 years with the Air Force. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He loved working in his yard. Most important to him was his family. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church, where he loved working with the kids and he always had peppermint for them. He was an avid dog lover and is greatly missed by Wanda.
Mr. Brantley is survived by his wife of 61 years, Carolyn Brantley, daughter Diane Brantley (Steve) Coffee, grandchildren, Mandy McGouirk, Russ Brantley, Richard McGouirk; great grandchildren, Trevor McGouirk,
Christopher McGouirk, Brayden McGouirk; brothers, Rufus Brantley, James W. Brantley; several nieces and nephews.

Ruby Alexander Patrick
Ruby Alexander Patrick, age 83, of McDonough, Georgia, died April 30, 2009. Mrs. Patrick was born
in Henry County, the daughter of the late Sarah Frances Selfridge and Andrew Alexander. She was a devoted homemaker and worked in the family business of Patrick Dry Cleaners and Hampton House Restaurant in McDonough. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. Mrs. Patrick enjoyed cooking, sewing, embroidery and gardening. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ada Exum; brothers, William and Joe Alexander; grandson, Ryan Alexander.
Survivors are her husband of 63 years, Doyle E. Patrick of McDonough; children, Daniel Pa-trick and wife Mary of Monticello; daughter, Dr. Linda Pa-trick of Decatur; and granddaughter, Dr. Tara Patrick Garrison and her husband, Micah of Gainesville; great-grandson, Andrew Garrison of Gainesville; sister, Jean Pendley of Griffin; and several nieces and nephews.

Willard Edward Pate
Willard Edward “Red” Pate, age 80, of McDonough, Georgia, passed away May 2, 2009. He was born
in Arkansas to the late Benjamin Willis and Tommie Massey Pate. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Thelma Irene Pate in 1994. Red was re-tired after 33 years as a Delta Airlines pilot and was a member of the Tara Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Pate of McDonough; children, Cyndi Schroeder of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Terri Glisson of McDonough, Kent Pate of Jonesboro, Lisa Hill of Cookeville, Tennessee; step-sons, Bar-ry Findley and Dale Findley both of Stockbridge; brother, Donald Pate of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.

Sherry Lee Reinhold Hammett
Sherry Lee Reinhold Hammett, age 43, of Jonesboro, Georgia, died May 2, 2009. She was born
in Amarillo, Texas , and was a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister. Sherry enjoyed the beach, flower gardening and ‘70’s music. She will always be remembered for her outgoing personality and beautiful smile.
Survivors include her husband, Brad Hammett of Jonesboro; children, Eli and Emma Hammett; father, Ron (Dona) Rein-hold of Temple; mother, Jeanne (George Boone) Herter of Stock-bridge; sister, Tiffany Reinhold of Los Angeles, California; grand-mother, Lillian Tappen of Stock-bridge; aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 7, at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Dr. Bill Lacey will officiate. Interment at Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park. John Leroy Miller, Jr.
John Leroy Miller, Jr. age 49, of Locust Grove, Gerogia, died May 3, 2009. He was born
in Atlanta to the late John Leroy Miller, Sr., and was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin Wayne Miller and a sister, Elizabeth Ann Rowland. He served his country in the United States Navy; had worked for Jones Truck Lines and Mathis Dairy, and owned Miller Equipment Distributors. John was a member of the Teamsters, Gold Wings Road Riders Association and Quails Unlimited. He enjoyed hunting, motorcycles and sporting clay shooting tournaments.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Miller; daughter, Shan-non Smith; granddaughters, Alea and Cheyenne Smith; mother, Mary E. Miller; brother, Tom Edward Miller; sister, Mary Frances (Eddie) McMillan; brother-in-law, Larry (Sherry) Yon; aunt, Margaret E. Dumas-Carter (Laury Arturo); his little best friends, Rusty and Buster; many other special aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Raymond Donald Buchanan, Sr.
Raymond Donald Buchanan, Sr., age 68 of Ellenwood, Georgia, passed away May 3, 2009. Mr. Buchanan was born
in Atlanta to the late Fred and Nancy Buchanan. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Mr. Buchanan is survived by his loving wife, Mamie Buchanan of Ellenwood; sons, Raymond Buchanan, Jr., Ronald Buchanan, Michael Buchanan, Michael Miller and James Miller; daughters, Susie Jones, Luanne Hawkins and Sherry Hutchins; 12 grandchildren, 5 great- grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
