Peggy Shanteau
Services for Peggy Agatha Wynn Shanteau will be at 10 a.m. today in Bridges Funeral Home with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Shanteau, 71, died Thursday, March 2, 2000. She was born in Laurens County, the daughter of the late Ernest and Lavona Maddox Roberts, and graduated from Dudley High School. A graduate of the Macon Hospital School of Nursing, she worked a number of years as a registered nurse before joining Keebler Bakeries in quality control, from which she was retired. She was a former DAV Auxiliary state commander and was a member of the Flag City CB Club.

Survivors include her husband, Merlin Shanteau; a son, Billy Wynn of Summerville, S.C.; sisters and brother, Betty Fowler and Vondell Holliday, both of Athens, Jeanette Thomas of Wedowee, Ala., and Terry Roberts of Macon; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

John Smith
SANDERSVILLE - Services for John Robert Smith will be at 4 p.m. Sunday in Kendall Heights Church of God with burial in the Davisboro City Cemetery. Smith, 58, died Thursday, Mar. 3, 2000. He was born in Washington County, the son of the late Floyd Wright and Mary Josey Smith. He was retired from Lapp Insulator after 27 years of service. He was a member of Kendall Heights Church of God.

Survivors include his children, Wilma Smith, Wayne Johnson and John W. Smith, all of Sandersville, and Wanda Mathis of Tennille; brothers and sisters, Floyd W. Smith Jr. of Aiken S.C., James A. Smith and Louise S. Bridges, both of Sandersville, William Smith of Davisboro, Annie M. Smith of Augusta, Nellie Ruth Manley of Doraville, Martha Jean Stubbs of Panama City, Fla., Lois S. Johnson of Mitchell, Sallie S. Bragg of Rincon and Rosa S. Smith of Langley, S.C.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Lang's Chapel and may be contacted at the residence of Wilma Smith on CB Club Road. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 632, Sandersville 31082.

Emily Tingle
FORSYTH - Services for Emily Fort Tingle will be at 3 p.m. today in Monroe County Memorial Chapel with burial in Monroe County Memorial Gardens. Tingle, 86, died Friday, Mar. 3, 2000. She was born in Monroe County. The widow of M.L. Tingle, she was the retired owner-operator of Tingle's Grocery. She was a member of Mid Way Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Gladys Williams of Forsyth; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Betty Wagner
WARNER ROBINS - Services for Betty Wagner will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Christopher-Smith Funeral Home with burial in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Wagner, 78, died Friday, March 3, 2000. She was born in Wichita, Kan., the daughter of the late George and Jean Wilson. She had lived in Warner Robins for the past 22 years and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Survivors include her children, Ronald Wagner of Warner Robins, Donald Wagner of Virginia Beach, Va., John Wagner of Kennesaw, and Thomas Wagner of Thomasville; a sister, Lucille Wiegrefe of South Carolina; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. The family will receive friends after. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Boy Scouts of America Troop 550, c/o Christ United Methodist Church, 511 Russell Parkway, Warner Robins 31088, or Sacred Heart Catholic Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 5052, Warner Robins 31099.

Richard Aaron Sr.
FORSYTH - Services for Richard D. Aaron Sr. will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Forsyth First Baptist Church with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with full military honors. Aaron, 65, died Tuesday, May 9, 2000. Son of the late Herbert F. Aaron Sr. and Annie P. Aaron, he was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War and was retired from Robins Air Force Base. He was a member of Forsyth First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Gloria T. Aaron; children Richard D. Aaron Jr. of Warner Robins and William Aaron of Aiken, S.C.; stepson, Barry Caswell of Marietta; sister and brothers Ann Walker of Winston-Salem, N.C., Herbert Aaron Jr. of Charleston, S.C., Louis Aaron of Amelia, Va., and Robert Aaron of Charleston, S.C.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Sav-A-Pet Inc., P.O. Box 933, Forsyth 31029.

Opal Adams
Services for Opal J. Adams will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Adams, 83, died Wednesday, May 10, 2000. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Waycross.

Survivors include her daughter, Leslie Gonzalez of Macon; brother and sisters Billy Johnson of Fayetteville, N.C., Georgie Williams of Portsmouth, Va., and JoAnn Oldland of Uniontown, Pa.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Family will be at 5927 Mount Pleasant Church Road. Crest Lawn Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Sherri Benson
ALAMO - Services for Sherri Anita Benson will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Lowe's Funeral Home, Helena. Benson, 29, died Tuesday, May 9, 2000. She worked in construction.

Survivors include her mother, Anita Browning of Alamo; father, Steve Craig Benson of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; brothers Scott Benson of Alamo and Jeffery McDaniel of Hazlehurst; and grandparents Georgia Roberson of Alamo and Ruth Benson of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Cullen S. Brinkley
STOCKBRIDGE - Services for Cullen S. Brinkley will be at 11 a.m. today in Horis A. Ward Funeral Home, Fairview Chapel. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Monroe Memorial Gardens, Forsyth. Brinkley, 61, died Monday, May 8, 2000. He was an engineer, retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation after 34 years of service. He was a member of Roadrunners Travel Club and Dutchman Camping Club.

Survivors include his wife, Connie Howard Brinkley; children Rhonda Jill Beinburg of Stockbridge and Keith Samuel Brinkley of Conyers; mother, Dorothy L. Brinkley of Forsyth; brother, Ronald P. Brinkley of Forsyth; and three grandchildren.

Nan Cain
WARNER ROBINS - Services for Nan Carpenter Cain will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Trinity United Methodist Church with burial in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Cain, 70, died Tuesday, May 9, 2000. She was born in Houston, Miss., daughter of the late Henry H. and Mae Carpenter. She received a bachelor's degree in industrial education from Mississippi State University, where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha and was selected as campus beauty and campus favorite. She held secretarial positions with Ethyl and Esso Corp. in Baton Rouge, La., the Veterans Administration in Biloxi, Miss., and the FAA and Air Force in Warner Robins. She also taught at Lebanon Elementary School in Illinois and for Department of Defense schools in Germany. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Winton B. Cain; children Mark W. Cain of Huntsville, Ark., and Brian P. Cain of Marietta; brother Stanley H. Carpenter of Alexandria, Va.; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.

Bennie Carroll
WARNER ROBINS - Services for Bennie A. Carroll will be at 11 a.m. Friday in First Church of the Nazarene with burial in Piney Mount Methodist Church Cemetery, Johnson County. Carroll, 71, died Wednesday, May 10, 2000. An Army veteran, he was retired from Robins Air Force Base. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and the Ambassador Sunday School Class.

Survivors include his wife, Catherine Carroll; children Bennie C. Carroll and Margie E. Carroll, both of Warner Robins; brothers and sisters Myrrel Carroll, Gladys Foskey and Jimmie Carroll, all of Wrightsville, Christine Foskey and James Carroll, both of Warner Robins, and Jack Carroll of Dublin.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.

Tommie Fort
FORSYTH - Services for Tommie Turnbow Fort will be at 2 p.m. today in the City Cemetery. Fort, 75, died Wednesday, May 10, 2000, in a local nursing home. The widow of Robert Fort Sr., she was a member of Woodmen of the World. She was a member of Ephesus Primitive Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children Robert Fort Jr. and Jerry Fort, both of Forsyth; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Dillon Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Lula Goolsby
VIENNA - Services for Lula Mae Graham Goolsby will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Bethel Baptist Church with burial in Vienna City Cemetery. Goolsby, 75, died Monday, May 8, 2000.

Survivors include her son Milton Goolsby of Detroit; and sisters Lena Womack of Southfield, Mich., and Frances Reese of Vienna.

J.W. Williams Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Charise Jorden
WARNER ROBINS - Services for Charise Marie Peronneau Jorden will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Faith Assembly of God with burial in Ferguson Cemetery. Jorden, 37, died Wednesday, May 3, 2000. She was a nurse assistant at Victoria's Garden.

Survivors include her husband, Walter Jorden; children Jamaar Jorden, Terrence Jorden and Maya Jorden, all of Warner Robins; mother, Phyllis Peronneau of Philadelphia; father, Bill Peronneau of London; and grandparents, Carol Galer of Ambler, Pa., Anne Peronneau of Prince George County, Md., and Lee Barrett of Philadelphia.

Dong McGinnis
BONAIRE - Services for Dong Suk McGinnis will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Christopher-Smith Funeral Home, Warner Robins, with burial in Parkway Memorial Gardens. McGinnis, 45, died Tuesday, May 9, 2000. Born in Korea, she was the daughter of the late Yong Hun Kim.

Survivors include her husband, Scott McGinnis; daughter Katherine McGinnis of Bonaire; mother, Uri Rae Chung of Bonaire; and sister Tong Chan Talley of Longwood, Fla.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Viola Porter
DUBLIN - Services for Viola Lord Porter will be at 2 p.m. Friday in New Bethel Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Porter, 80, died Wednesday, May 10, 2000. She was the daughter of the late John and Willie M. Cauthen. The widow of Clayton Lord and J.C. Porter, she was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children Ann Taylor, Dorothy Branch, Cathy Dean, James Lord, Wendell Lord and Earl Lord, all of Dublin; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Adams Funeral Home and may be contacted at the residence.
