Mrs. Audrey U. Royal of Peachtree City died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2004.
She is survived by children, James and Marilyn Royal of Peachtree City, Jack and Kay Royal of Boston, Bill Royal of Senoia, and Dan and Marie Umbach of Newnan; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law, Mrs. Sue Royal and Mrs. Elizabeth Royal.
Funeral services will be today at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Carl J. Mowell and Son in Peachtree City. Interment will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. today prior to the service.

Mr. James Marlin Bowling Sr.
Mr. James Marlin Bowling, 87, of Senoia, formerly of Memphis, died on December 25, 2004. He was born
Oct. 24, 1917 in Ripley, Mississippi, to the late Charles V. and Salle Mae Anglin Bowling. Mr. Bowling was a retired machinist and welder with the federal government.
The funeral is graveside Tuesday, December 28, 2004, at 11 a.m. at Senoia City Cemetery, with Reverend Dale Welden officiating. Mrs. Lena Jabaley Gay
Mrs. Lena Jabaley Gay of LaGrange died December 24, 2004, at Hospice LaGrange, in the company of her family.
She had been visited by a multitude of family and friends during her 15 days at Hospice.
She was born
at home on Lincoln Street on May 17, 1920, in LaGrange, the daughter of the late Charles Z. and Helene Turk Jabaley. She was a charter member of Saint Peter's Catholic Church.
She lived in LaGrange and Hogansville her entire life, except for brief moves with her husband in the army during World War II. She started work in her family's business in Hillside in 1934 and she retired from West Point Pepperell in 1986.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Sidney Michael and Patricia Lynn Kaylor Gay of LaGrange, William Robert Gay of Lexington, Kentucky; one daughter and son-in-law, Helen Carol and Richard Allen Martin of Cornelia, Ga; four grandchildren, Carlos Guillermo (and Janelle Monroe) Schweinfurth of Duluth, Helen Alejandra Schweinfurth of Long Island, New York, Matthew Christian Martin of Cornelia and Jennifer Lacy Martin of Atlanta; two great grandchildren, Gabrielle Nicole Schweinfurth and Sydney Taylor Schweinfurth of Duluth; one sister, Helen Jabaley of LaGrange; one brother, Charles Jabaley Jr. of Atlanta; and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. She will be missed and lovingly remembered by all of them.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Sidney Morris Gay; her sister, Elizabeth Jabaley Beshara of Youngstown, OH; and five brothers, Joe, Fred, Jim, John and Raymond Jabaley, all of LaGrange.
The family received friends at the Hunter-Allen-Myhand Funeral Home on Sunday, December 26, 2004, and a Rosary was said at 7:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today at St. Peter's Catholic Church in LaGrange, with Father Selva Raj officiating. Interment will follow at Shadowlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Lois Taylor, 83, of Newnan, died Thursday, December 23, 2004. She was born
March 10, 1921.
She is preceded in deaths by her husbands, Harvie Taylor and Thomas Payton; her parents, Bernard and Eva Copeland; and her brothers, Render Copeland and Bernard Copeland Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Christine Burtnett of Spanish Fort, Al.; a sister, Juanita Wortham of Newnan; brothers, Harold and wife Liz Copeland of Fayetteville; and Glen and wife Sheryl Copeland of Tampa, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Peggy Copeland of Greenville; grandsons, Billy and Karen Burtnett of Farihope, Al., and Randy and Debbie Burtnett of Spanish Fort; and several great grandchildren.

Mrs. Emma Lou Acree
Mrs. Emma Lou Acree, 80, of Newnan, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2004, after an extended illness.
Mrs. Acree was born
in Carroll County in 1924 to Jesse and Mary Ellen Boyd. Although she spend most of her time caring for her family, she also worked for many years in the Arnold Mills. A devout Christian, she was a member of East Newnan Baptist Church, where she regularly attended until she became too ill. Mrs. Acree was loved by everyone who knew her and will be remembered as a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
Funeral services for Mrs. Acree will be Monday, Dec. 27, 2004, at Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jimmy Lee officiating. Interment will follow at Whooping Creek Baptist Church Cemetery
in Clem, Ga. The family will receive friends at Jones Funeral Home on Sunday, Dec. 26 from 2 to 5 p.m.
Survivors include one son, Kenneth Watts and his wife Patricia; two daughters, Margaret Horsley and Joyce Blankenship; one brother, Johnny Boyd; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a special friend and companion, Billy Lee. Mrs. Helen L. Mabry, 85, of Newnan and formerly of Forest Park, Ga., died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2004.
Mrs. Mabry was preceded in death by her husband James O. "Bill" Mabry.

Mrs. Wanna Mae Waugh, 94, of Newnan died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004 at Courtland Terrace Nursing Facility in Gastonia, N. C.
Mrs. Waugh was born
Nov. 20, 1910 in Upshur County, W. Va. to the late Charlie E. and Ivy Jane Siron Hickman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton L. Waugh, and infant daughter, Claris Mae Waugh.

Mr. Myron Robbie Haynes
Mr. Myron Robbie Haynes, 73, of Moreland, Ga., died Dec. 20, 2004 at Newnan Hospital.
A native of Coweta County, he was born
in Moreland Aug. 10, 1931, the son of the late Lizzie Beatrice and James Robbie Haynes.
He was retired from the William L Bonnell Co. and was an active member of the Moreland United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Lamar Haynes and Harold Haynes Sr. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Haynes, Bill Haynes, Hal Haynes Sr., Scott Haynes, Scott McMichael and Stan McMichael.
Surviving him are his wife, Robbie Rowe Haynes; daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Alan Coody; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Monica Haynes; sister, Sally Eason; grandchildren, Tyler Coody, Sam Coody and Brandon Haynes; sisters-in-law, Rena and David McMichael, Betty Haynes and Sara Haynes; nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Charleen Virginia Medley of Anthem, AZ, formerly of Newnan, died Dec. 19, 2004. She was born
in Braselton, GA July 12, 1932 to Adolphus and Pearl (Stewart) Gittens. Mrs. Medley was retired from Arrow Shirt Co. and was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd L. Medley. Surviving are her son, Adolphus Lee Medley of Hapeville; daughters and sons-in-law, Gloria and James Cargle of Newnan and Tammy and Clarence Monroe of Anthem, AZ; sister, Geneva McBerry of Conley; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Fidelia J. Peek
Mrs. Fidelia Johnson Peek, 94, of Luthersville, Ga., died Monday, Dec. 20, 2004 at Alvista Healthcare Center in Greenville, Ga.
Born Oct. 13, 1910 in Meriwether County, Mrs. Peek was the daughter of the late Herschel and Fletcher Garrison Johnson. She lived in the Atlanta area for a number of years before returning to Luthersville and was a member of the Luthersville United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Joe Hoggard of East Point; son and daughter-in-law, William and Sherba Peek of Sharpsburg; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husbands Fred O'Neal and Ernest Peek, and her son, Floyd O'Neal.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22 in the chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Rev. Richard Campbell and Rev. Patrick Jansen will officiate, and Interment will be in Westview Cemetery

Mrs. Joyce Lewis Sorrow, 71, of Newnan, died Dec. 18, 2004 at Newnan Hospital.
A native of Fulton County, she was born
in Atlanta, March 9, 1933, the daughter of the late Dewey Alton and Voyce Leona Hogan Lewis. Her life was dedicated to providing a nurturing and loving home for her family. She was predeceased by her husband Jack Thomas Sorrow and a son Tommy Sorrow.
Surviving her is one daughter Judy Bell and her husband Donnie, and their children Brittone and Kaley Bell. A sister Mary Wheeler and her husband Robbie and a brother Bill Lewis and his wife Elizabeth also survive, as do a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. William Albert Abraham, Sr.
Mr. William Albert Abraham, Sr., age 81, of Newnan, died Dec. 18, 2004.
A native of Newnan, he was born
Jan. 9, 1923 to the late William H. and Louise Smith Abraham. He was educated in the local school system. Billy, as he was always known to his friends, led a life of devoted service to the persons with whom he shared this world.
During World War II, he served in the Army Air Corps and this will be recognized during his Interment service at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Billy's professional career spanned 46 years. After returning from World War II, he was associated with Model Laundry and Dry Cleaning on Temple Avenue. He acquired the property next door and opened Temple Avenue Department Store which he operated for 30 years with the love of his life Helen Beavers Abraham. Billy's watchword in business was "service and value for his customer." Every customer was personally greeted for all those years and were just part of a great extended family for Helen and Billy. There was always an attentive ear there for both the good times and the bad times shared by their family of customers.
Possessed of a servant spirit, Billy served on Newnan's City Council for 20 years. He was a Mason and Shriner for over 60 years and was a common sight in Shrine parades. He had been a faithful member of the Elks Lodge. Newnan's First United Methodist Church grounded Billy and Helen in their walk of faith through life.
Surviving Billy is his family; a daughter, June A. Maxwell and her husband Tommy; Al Abraham; grandchildren Wil Abraham, Tina Smith and her husband Jett, June "Sister" McElroy and her husband Brooks, Tommie Ann Abercrombie and her husband Shawn; and eight great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Rebecca S. Harper, age 96, beloved wife of the late Mr. John Everett Harper, Sr., of N. Gibson Street died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2004.

with Rev. Dr. Rob Bray officiating.
Mrs. Harper, a native of Elbert County, Ga., had been a resident of Warrenton for many years. She was a retired school teacher and a member of the Warrenton First Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son and daughter in law: John E. Harper, Jr. and Judy of Newnan, Ga.; one sister Margaret Callahan of Athens, Ga.; two grandsons Richard Harper and Trey Harper both of Newnan, Ga.; three granddaughters Amy (Greg) Pierce of Newnan, Ga., Jennifer (Doug) Dreyer of Newnan, Ga., and Anna (Doug) Hall of Cumming, Ga.; three great-grandchildren Emmaline Pierce, Emery Pierce and Sealy Dreyer.
