Anna E. Thompson
Anna E. Thompson, age 87, of Stockbridge, Georgia, formerly of Forest Park, died June 12, 2009. She was born
in East Vandergrift, Pennsylvania , to the late Jacob and Mary Pencak Kostka. Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her husband, Jack W. Thompson; son-in-law, Gary L. Steele; and son, Jeffrey Alan Thompson. She was a loving and doting wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who took pride in providing dishes of kisses for her great-grandchildren. When not spoiling the great-grandchildren she would enjoy working in her yard and cleaning house.
Mrs. Thompson is survived by daughter, Candy Steele, Stock-bridge; sister, Irene & Paul Toman, Leachburg, Pennsylvania ; granddaughters, Leigh & Keith Snyder, Seattle, Washington , Michelle Key, McDonough, Stacy & Aaron Hellinger, Locust Grove; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Kaleigh, Ashleigh, Mitchell, Blake, and Brantlee; several nieces & nephews.

Irene F. Puckett
Irene F. Puckett, age 78, of Locust Grove, Georgia, passed away June 12, 2009. She was born
in Chicago, Illinois to the late Theopholus Langlois. She was preceded in death by her husband, George O. Puckett and by children, Joy Burch and Ed-ward LaMotte. She enjoyed reading, boating, gardening, flowers and the ocean.
Survivors include her children, Hazel “Tiny” (Leon) Bruce of Locust Grove, Donald (Carol Bowen) LaMotte of Rome, James (Tena) Warren of Locust Grove; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 3 great- great-grandchildren.

Harvey Leonard Hollar
Harvey Leonard Hollar, age 77, of McDonough, Georgia, passed away June 13, 2009. He was born
in Madison County, Ohio, the son of the late Helen Morgan and Charles William Hollar. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ova Jean Lord; several siblings and a mother-in-law, Emma Elizabeth Lord. He was retired from American Freight Systems with 33 years of service as a truck driver. He served his country in the US Navy. He was a member of McDonough First United Methodist Church and attended the Locust Grove Unit-ed Methodist Church. Mr. Hollar enjoyed gardening, selling his fruits and vegetables, cooking and most of all spending time with his friends and family.
Survivors are his children, DeWayne Hollar of McDonough; Roxie and Richard Bolton of McDonough; Robin and Stan Thomas of Woodland Hills, California; grandchildren, Ashley and Justin McCollum of Lineville, Alabama, Scott Bolton of McDonough, Chelsea Bolton of McDonough, Kyle, Logan, Peyton and Dillon Thomas, all of Woodland Hills, California; great-granddaughter, Emma Catherine McCollum of Lineville, Alabama; brother, Jimmy Hollar; sisters, Mary Brill, Martha Follrod, Arietta Timmons, and Cora Matthews.
Funeral services for Mr. Hollar will be June 17, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Rev. Joey Seabolt officiating. Interment at Forest Hills Cemetery

Jack Edward Baughman
Jack Edward Baughman, age 70, of Stockbridge, Georgia, died Saturday, June 13, 2009. He was born
in Marlette, Michigan on December 6, 1938. Jack served our country with the United States Army, retiring after 22 years. He then went to work for Nabisco for 22 years. He enjoyed traveling, camping, and fishing. When he had spare time he always wanted to fix things. But most important to him was his family.
Mr. Baughman is survived by wife, Erna Baughman; daughters, Cindy Baughman Lambert and Liliana Walker; grandsons, Tim, Nicholas, Jack, Charles; sisters, Cleora Klock, Leona Baughman; several nieces and nephews.

Betty Waddell
Betty Waddell, of Stockbridge, Georgia, died June 15, 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Cass and Mary Elizabeth Haxton Jones; her husband, Albert Waddell; daughter, Sandy Waddell, and brother, Richard Jones. Mrs. Waddell enjoyed life to its fullest. She bowled on Mondays, played Bunco on Tuesdays and Texas Hold'em on Thursdays. In her spare time she enjoyed the casinos and was also an active member of the Red Hats. But her greatest joys in life came from her family: being a mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Mrs. Waddell is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Sonny Fletcher, of Haslet, Texas ; grandchildren, Katie Robyn, of San Angelo, TX, Mary Robyn, of Smyrna, Shawn (Jennifer) Payne, of Dacula, JK (Monica) Payne, of Hoschton, and Scott (Tammie) Patterson, of Coshocton, Ohio, six great-grandchildren; and brother, Kenneth Jones, of Coshocton, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on June 18 at The Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors. Interment at Yorkville Baptist Church Memorial Gardens, Rockmart. Marie Sheppard
Marie Sheppard, age 54, of McDonough, Georgia, died June 3, 2009. She was born
in DeKalb County to Mattie Lou Jones Thackston and the late J.W. Thackston. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hampton and enjoyed horses, western pleasure and barrel racing.
Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Buddy Sheppard of McDonough; son, Chad (Jamie) Sheppard of McDonough; mother, M. Lou Thackston of McDonough; brothers, David (Beth) Thackston of Stockbridge, Wayne Thackston of McDonough; niece and nephew, Megan and Daniel Thackston.
Funeral services were conducted June 7 at Oakland Baptist Church, with Rev. Mike Smith officiating. Interment at Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park. Sgt. First Class John Beale
Sgt. First Class John Beale, age 39, of McDonough, Georgia, died June 4 while serving our country in Afghanistan. He was born
in Riverdale on February 11, 1970. He worked for Clayton County Water Authority and was a member of Eagle’s Landing First Baptist Church.
Sgt. First Class Beale is survived by his wife, Crystal G. Beale; children, Christopher Beale, and Calye Beale, all of McDonough; father, William B. (Dolly) Beale, Morrow; brothers, Michael (Sophia) Beale, Covington, and Timothy Beale, Macon and his four daughters, Kaely, Ansley, Destiny, and Hope; grandfather, William R. (Donna) Beale, Mableton; father-in-law, David Collier, Locust Grove; brother-in-law, David E. Collier, Smyrna; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, at Eagle's Landing First Baptist Church with Dr. Tim Dowdy officiating. Interment at Camp Memorial Park with full military honors.
