Hoyt Haney
Hoyt Haney, age 85, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away June 26, 2009. Hoyt was born
in Etowah, Tennessee, to the late George Lee and Della Elizabeth Haney and was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Joyce Haney, brothers, Preston and Clarence Haney, and a sister, Martha Jenkins. He retired after 29 years with Eastern Airlines, at-tended Way of the Cross Church and was a Mason and a Shriner. He enjoyed farming, selling his vegetables and wagon trains.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Gracie Haney of Jackson; children, Linda (Gary) Lathem of McDonough, Marilyn Ragland of McDonough, Kay Dean (Ron) Barker of Brooks; grandchildren, Teresa Lathem, Mark Deese, Julie McGlamery, Blair and Brandon Combs; great grandsons, Wade and Zak McGlamery, Bryson Combs; brother, R.L. Haney of Etowah, Tennessee; sister, Ruth Gibson of Christian City; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted June 28 from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, Rev. Doug Ledford officiating. Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Mr. Haney. Haisten Funeral Home, 770-914-8833.
John Keppel
Ret. LTC John “Jack” Keppel, age 66, of McDonough, Georgia, died June 6, 2009. He was born
in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Louis Ferdinand and Mariam Mary Krehn Keppel. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Andrew Harlow. LTC Keppel served his country as a decorated U.S. Army officer for 27 years. His passions included traveling, clocks and antiques. He and his wife, Jackie, spent the last 19 years in the clock and antique business. He was a devoted husband of 44 years, father and grandfather who enjoyed his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Jackie of McDonough; daughters, Holly (Bob) Harlow of Stockbridge, Kari (Ron) Johnson of Loganville; grandsons, Bobby and Travis Harlow; sister, Ann Hartman of Anoka, Minnesota.
Graveside funeral services with full military honors were conducted June 12 at the Georgia National Cemetery. Haisten Funeral Home, 770-914-8833.
Andy Gibbs
Andy Gibbs, age 50, of McDonough, Georgia, died June 10, 2009. He was born
in Columbia, Missouri. He was a member of Stockbridge First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing, boat riding, the outdoors, and good food.
He is survived by his parents, Russell Liberty and Joann Wolcott Gibbs, Lilburn; sons, Andrew Mario Gibbs and Benjamin Ryan Gibbs, both of McDonough; brothers, Gary Gibbs, St. Louis, Missouri, Dennis (Louise) Gibbs, Columbia, Missouri; former spouse, Cindy Angela Gibbs, McDonough; nieces, Heather Grisham, Carey April Gibbs, and nephew, Billy Joe Gibbs, all of Columbia, Missouri, and several other friends and family.

Ronald Alexander Napty, Jr.
Ronald Alexander Napty, Jr, age 53, of Jackson (High Falls), Georgia, died June 10, 2009. He was born
in Fulton County. He attended Morrow High School, and was an electrician in business for himself. He enjoyed antiques cars, being outdoors, yard plants, music, and being a drummer. His mother, Shirley Geraldine Mercier Napty, preceded him in death.
Survivors are his father and step-mother, Ronald A. and Doris Napty Sr. of McDonough; siblings, Debbie Rhodes of Newnan, Chris Napty of Douglasville and Nicci Millians of Newnan; step-siblings, Robin Davis of McDonough, Ronny and Kenny Norman of McDonough; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him.

Doris Nix Moore
Doris Nix Moore, age 68, of Locust Grove, Georgia, died June 11, 2009. Mrs. Moore was born
in Forsyth County. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank William Nix; husband, Jerry Wayne Moore; daughter, Debbie Lifsey; and several siblings.
Survivors are her daughters and sons-in-law; Robin and Johnny Lawler of Duluth, and Sue and Curtis Atkinson of Locust Grove; mother, Montine Nix of Cumming; grandchildren, Nichole Mosley and John and Jake Lawler; great-grandchild, Zoe Sene; brothers, Walter Nix of Sugar Hill and Ricky Nix of Cumming, and several nieces and nephews.

Richard Eugene Nichols
Richard Eugene Nichols, age 76, of Stockbridge, Georgia, died June 11, 2009. He was born
on May 16, 1933, in Akron, Ohio, to the late Eugene Wilbur and Celia Christy Nichols. Mr. Nichols served our country with the United States Army.
Mr. Nichols is survived by wife, Pam Nichols, Stockbridge; sons, Ricky Nichols and Jimmy Nichols and their mother, Charlotte Nichols, Conley; step-son, Ryan McGarity, Millington, Tennessee, step-daughter, Lesa Britt, McDonough, sister, Estelle Lantzy, Newnan; sister-in-law, Lana Nichols, Glendora, California; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.

Rodney Henson
Rodney (Bud) Henson, age 77, of Stockbridge, Georgia, passed away June 11, 2009. Mr. Henson was born
in Aniston, Alabama, to the late Hughes and Virgie Poole Henson. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a jack-of-all-trades, and was an inventor with a patent pending. Mr. Henson enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and basically anything in the outdoors.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Janice Henson of Stockbridge; daughter, Tam-my Conners of Stockbridge; grandchildren, Janalyn Conners and Darren Conners, II, both of Stockbridge; sisters Clara Green of California, Helen Terrell of Columbus, and several nieces and nephews.
