Pauline Crutcher
Pauline Crutcher, age 73, of Davenport, Florida died August 18, 2007. She was born
in Atlanta daughter of the late Frank A. and Hazel Woodie Burdett. Next to the Lord, her children and grandchildren were most important to her.
Ms. Crutcher is survived by her children, Irene Bandaries of Louisiana, Sheila Holt of Alpharetta, Tina Sanders and Wayne Crutcher both of McDonough, Teresa Malone of Davenport, Florida; and 12 grandchildren.
Services were held Friday, August 24, 2007 at the Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors with Daryl Sanders officiating. Interment Sherwood Memorial Park. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
Thelma Elizabeth Foster Shaw
Mrs. Thelma Elizabeth Foster Shaw, age 87, of McDonough, Georgia died August 18, 2007. Mrs. Shaw was born
in Henry County the daughter of the late
Betty Azizona Lester and Howard Foster. Mrs. Shaw was a
member of Bethany Baptist Church. Her husband, Raleigh
Lee Shaw preceded her in death.
Survivors are her sister, Beulah Carter of Jonesboro; brothers, Richard Foster of McDonough, Sue Foster of Lake City, and Jim Foster of Griffin; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held August 20 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Rev. Al O’Quinn and Rev. Chuck Sheppard officiating. Interment Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Hans Michael (Mike) Stephan
Hans Michael (Mike) Stephan, age 62, of McDonough, Georgia died August 18, 2007. He was born
in Milwaukee, Wisconsin the son of the late Hans Richard and Margaret Elizabeth Johnson Stephan. He served our country with the United States Army during Vietnam. He was a safety engineer with an aircraft assembly plant.
Mr. Stephan is survived by wife, Miriam Dee Stephan of McDonough; daughter, Susan Meredith (Sean) deBey; brother, Richard John (Mary) Stephan of Sunnyvale, California; sisters, Judi (Jack) McDonald of Centerville, Virginia, Nancy (Ralph) Hutchinson of Liberty Township, Ohio.
Services were held August 25 at Scandinavian Cemetery

Lawrence R. Waits
Lawrence R. Waits, age 81, of Stockbridge, Georgia died August 20, 2007. He was born
in Clarkston the son of the late James Alma Connor and James Elbert Waits. Mr. Waits was a member of Stockbridge Presbyterian Church for over 50 years where he served as an Elder and a Deacon and was a member of the Gold Rush Gang. He was an Army Veteran of WWII. He enjoyed fishing and bird watching, but his favorite pastime was his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Mr. Waits is survived by his wife, Carolyn Waits of Stockbridge; daughters, Lollie (Bill) Raulerson, of St. Simons Island, and Robin (Keith) Ellison of McDonough; grandchildren, Waits Raulerson, Caroline (Jared) Price; great-grandson, Porter Price; brother, Larry Waits of Palmetto, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held August 23 at Stockbridge Presbyterian Church with Rev. Tracey Davenport officiating. Interment Stockbridge City Cemetery. Martha L. Woodall
Martha L. Woodall, age 77, of Stockbridge, Georgia died August 20, 2007. She was born
in Fulton County daughter of the late William Henry and Lucy Olliff Lanier Hurst. Ms. Woodall loved the beach and especially light houses. She also enjoyed traveling, playing canasta, and china painting. But most important to her was her family.
Ms. Woodall is survived by her children, Laura Jean (Donald) Thuman, of Stockbridge, Joseph Michael (Toni Lynn) Woodall, of Hampton, Lucy Marlene Woodall of Marietta; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Madison Renee Sanders, of Jonesboro, Georgia died August 21, 2007.
Madison is survived by her parents, Jeff Lee and Holly Renee Sanders; maternal grandparents, Pamela and Greg Cunningham; maternal grandparents, Ronald and Mary Hancock; maternal great-grandparents, Donald E. and Myra Wilkinson, all of Jonesboro; paternal grandparents, Jerry and Tina Willis of Hampton; aunts, Erin Hancock of Jonesboro, Devona Sanders and Brittaney Willis both of Hampton.

Ralph Champion, Sr., age 89, of Stockbridge, Georgia died August 23, 2007. He was born
in Lawrence, Massasschussets son of the late Leroy and Ethel Bardsley Champion.
Mr. Champion is survived by his spouse: Jane Champion; children, Jackie Brickle of Macon, Judy Kiblinger of Stockbridge, Candy Frawley of Savannah, Ralph Champion, Jr. of Savannah; brothers and sisters, Bernard Champion, Centerville, Mass., Thelma Champion of Queensbury, New York, Elaine Magowan of Queensbury, New York; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Johnny (Julio) Gilbert
Johnny (Julio) Gilbert, age 45, of Jonesboro, Georgia died Thursday, August 23, 2007. He was born
in Atlanta son of the late Earl Eugene and Tommie Anne Phillips Gilbert. Mr. Gilbert was employed with Thermo King. He served in the United States Marine Corps for 11 years and was a veteran of the Gulf War. Johnny was an avid hunter and fisherman, but most important of all, he was a father who deeply loved his children.
Mr. Gilbert is survived by his children, Nikki (age 13) and Trevor (age 12) Gilbert, and their mother Pat Gilbert, all of Stockbridge; brothers: Gene (Diane) Gilbert of Fayetteville, Thomas Gilbert of Jonesboro, Wayne (Michelle) Gilbert, of Fayetteville, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Wayne Duel Sheets
Mr. Wayne Duel Sheets, age 55, of McDonough, Georgia died August 25, 2007. He was born
in Gwinnett County to the late William Duel and Eddie Ann Buice Sheets. Wayne worked for Legacy Ford and enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoors.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Gale Barber Sheets of McDonough; sons and daughter-in-law, Joey and Cheryl Sheets and Brandon Sheets of McDonough; grandchildren, Lindsay and Jay Sheets; brother and sister-in-law, Phil and Sherry Sheets of Hampton; sisters and brother-in-law, Teresa and Gary Dacus and Marsha Scruggs of Dawsonville; numerous nieces and nephews.
