Scott Johnson
Scott Johnson, age 27, of Locust Grove, Georgia died Friday, September 16, 2005. Mr. Johnson worked for Matt Thompson Taxidermy for the past 10 years, and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his wife, Crystal Elaine Johnson of Locust Grove; daughter, Savannah Paige Johnson of Shorterville, Alabama; mother, Anita F. Conkle of Sunnyside; father, Nathan Christopher Johnson Sr. of Hiram; brother, Nathan Chris Johnson Jr. of Sunnyside; aunts, Linda Head of Hampton, Judy Murray of Griffin; sister-in-law, Candace Suzanne Duffey of Locust Grove; father and mother-in-law, Ricky Dwayne and Susan Poole Duffey of Locust Grove; and several cousins.
Services were held Tuesday, September 20 in the chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors, with Pastor Roger Burdette officiating. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Joseph Mack Brannan
Joseph Mack Brannan, age 76, of Rentz, Georgia, formerly a resident of McDonough died Monday, September 19, 2005. Mr. Brannan was born Saturday, March 23, 1929, the son of the late Homer Gray Brannan, I and the late Mary Lou Morrow Brannan. He served 23 years in the U.S. Army Air Corps – Air Force, retiring as a T/SGT. He had a love for planes, American and World history, Big Band, Country Western and Gospel music. He loved to read, loved the outdoors and was a big family man. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Esther Ramos Brannan.
He is survived by his sons, Michael Gary Brannan of Warner Robins, and Forest Allen Brannan of Altus, Oklahoma; daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah Ann and Bobby Carroll of Fernandina Beach, Florida, Linda Marie and Raymond Pelchat of Griffin, Maria Bonita (Bonnie) and Dale McCullough of Rentz; grandchildren, Michael Shane Brannan, Michael Gray Brannan Jr., Alan Barnes, Leslie Walsh, Sarah Carroll, Damon Carroll, David Pelchat, Amanda Watson, Brandy Vann, Danielle Dover; great-grandchildren, Solan Walsh, Justin Brannan, Jana Brannan; brother, Homer Gary Brannan, II of McDonough.
Services will be held Thursday, September 22 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Interment Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Townsend Funeral Home of Dublin, 478-272-3311, in charge of arrangements.

James Floyd Hay
James Floyd Hay, age 76, of Hampton, Georgia passed away Saturday, July 23, 2005. Mr. Hay was born Wednesday, June 19, 1929 in Fulton County to the late Mary Lou Lanier and Floyd James Hay. He was a retired electrician, was of the Baptist faith, loved his NASCAR, time spent fishing and was a handyman. He was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Joyce Lively.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Rutledge Hay of Hampton; children, Vicki Wilson of South Carolina, Rodney Hay of Macon, Karen Mae Kilgore of Hampton, Mark Hay of Florida, Elaine Turner of Luthersville, and Deborah Speer of Newnan; 17 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Boozer of Griffin; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services were held in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Interment Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Tamara Marche Hughes Ferrari
Tamara Marche Hughes Ferrari, age 30, of McDonough, Georgia died Monday, July 25, 2005. Mrs. Ferrari was born Tuesday, January 14, 1975 in Newnan, the daughter of James and Brenda Storey Hughes. She was a 1993 graduate of the Heritage Christian School, a 1999 graduate of West Georgia College, and received her Masters degree in teaching from Georgia State. She was employed with the Henry County School System, teaching children that are orthopedically impaired. She loved traveling, reading, scrapbooking, and her Dachshund dogs. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Hughes.
She is survived by her husband, Matt Ferrari of McDonough; parents, James and Brenda Hughes of Senoia; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tony and Pat Ferrari of McDonough; sister Debbie Carlton; nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Senoia, with Rev. Ross Cooper officiating. Interment Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Matt Ferrari, First National Bank, 2750 Highway 42 North, McDonough, Georgia, 30253 in memory of Tamara for Special Education Funds. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Myrtle Howard Williams
Myrtle Howard Williams, age 81, of McDonough, Georgia died Sunday, August 21, 2005. Mrs. Williams was born Thursday, May 15, 1924 in Sevier County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Pearl Hurst and Robert Howard. She was a
devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed her family, gardening, sewing and being outside. She was preceded in death by brothers, Cecil Howard, Warren Howard, and Walter Howard.
She is survived by her husband, Oscar Williams of McDonough; children, Teri Diane Goldstein of Decatur, Sandra Lou Gadd of Alpharetta, Janet Elaine Massey of McDonough, and Robin Lewis Williams of Cumming; brothers, Paul Howard of Jack-sonville, Florida and Lonas Howard of Friendsville, Tennes-see; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services were held Wednesday, August 24 at Bethany Baptist Church in Sevierville, Tennessee, with Rev. Melvin Carr officiating. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association or charity of your choice. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

B. Darrell Glass
B. Darrell Glass, age 55, of Stockbridge, Georgia died Sunday, August 21, 2005. Mr. Glass was born in Bainbridge, the son of Bonnie McCoy and Laura A. Glass. He began his ministry at the age of 16 and has served the Church of God for the past 39 years in service as a pastor, evangelist, and mentor. His pastorates included service in the states of Georgia, Florida, and Minnesota. He was a beloved husband, father, and friend, and will be most remembered for his investment in people, teaching us through mentoring compassion and generosity, how to love those around us unconditionally. His hobbies included reading, shopping, and landscaping. He had a deep love for history, a gift which resulted in his masterful teachings of God's Word. For those who knew him best he will also be remembered for his unique personality.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Glass of Stockbridge; son and daughter-in-law, Chad and Kelly Glass of Suwanee; daughter, Adrie Marcia Glass of McDonough; mother, Laura Glass of Valdosta; and sisters, Nell Wells, and Geraldine Con-way, all of Valdosta, Ann Brown of Mesquite, Texas ; brother, K. Ray Glass of Newnan; grandchildren, Morgan Elizabeth Glass, and Olivia Anwen Glass.
Services were held Wednesday, August 24 at Eagle's Landing Church of God with Dr. Walt Mauldin, Dr. Raymond Culpepper, Rev. Jeff Watkins, and Rev. Mark Medlin officiating. Those who wish may make donations to Sacred Journey Hospice, 138 Peach Drive, McDonough, Georgia, 30253. Those who wish may sign the on-line guest registry at www.cannon-cleve-land.com. Linda Knight Waguespack
Linda Knight Waguespack, age 62, of McDonough, Georgia died Monday, August 22, 2005. Mrs. Waguespack was born Sunday, August 8, 1943 in Fulton County, the daughter of Sara Louise Crumbley Knight and Blanton Hampton Knight. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church. She graduated from Henry County High School Class of 1961, and was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and an avid reader.
She is survived by her loving husband, Freddie P. Waguespack of McDonough; children, Steven Mathias of Kensington, California, Jeffrey Mathias and Bradley Mathias, both of Lilburn; stepsons; Daniel, David, and Damon Waguespack; grandchildren, Chelsea, Morgan, and Brandi Mathais, Kristiauna, Dylan and Diana Waguespack; sister, Pamela Reagan of Blairville; brothers, Bill Knight of Vandalia, Ohio, Bob Knight of McDonough, and Ken Knight of Griffin; four nephews and three nieces.
Services were held Thursday, August 25 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Rev. Rick Statham and Rev. Bobby Swoffard officiating. Interment Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or to a charity of your choice. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Morris Daniel Denson
Morris Daniel Denson, age 82, of Locust Grove, Georgia died Tuesday, August 23, 2005. Mr. Denson was born Monday, June 11, 1923 in Flowery Branch, the son of the late Winnie Davis McElwaney and Morris Bice Denson. He was a member of the local #72 Pipe Fitters Union for 58 years, he served his country in the U.S. Navy, and enjoyed gardening and fishing. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bettie Ruth McGee Denson; and a brother, Ted Denson.
He is survived by his children, Larry Denson, and Glenda and Richard Blair of Locust Grove, Debbie and Donnie Davis of Gwinnett, and Greg and Kathy Denson of McDonough; brother, Howard McElwaney of Hart-well; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday, August 27 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Rev. Joseph McGee officiating. Interment Fairview Memorial Gardens. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Lisa Annette Stephenson
Lisa Annette Stevens, age 38, of Jonesboro, Georgia, formerly of McDonough died Tuesday, August 23, 2005. Mrs. Stephenson was born Sunday, August 28, 1966 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Connie Blackstock Pilgrim. She graduated from Newton County High School and was a member of West Sunnyside Community Church.
She is survived by her husband, Timothy Stevens of Jonesboro; father and stepmother, Lawrence and Frankie Pilgrim of McDonough; brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence David and Becky Pilgrim of South Carolina; stepsister, Sharon and Tony Goddard of Stockbridge, stepbrothers, Billy, Ray, and Terry Hobby, Olin Mosley, and James Brooks.
Services were held Friday, August 26 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Rev. Hugh Smith officiating. Interment Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation, 2193 Northlake Parkway, Bldg. 12, Suite 104, Tucker, Georgia, 30084 in memory of Lisa. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
