Margie Pearl Walden
Margie Pearl Walden, age 78, of Stockbridge, Georgia died October 11, 2005. Mrs. Walden was born
in Twin City, the daughter of the late Frank and Lois Cowart Oglesby. She was a 20 year volunteer with the Henry Medical Center Auxiliary and a member of the Stockbridge First United Methodist Church since 1964, where she taught Sunday school, worked in the nursery and was a member of the UMW. She was also in charge of family ministries for several years, was a member of the choir, and participated in the Disciple Bible Studies. She was a woman of character and strength who loved her family, her church, all animals and birds, and was an avid Braves fan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Oscar Walden; and her son, William David Walden.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Jean Gregory, Betty Anne Walden and Donnie Patten, and Mary Catherine Walden, all of Stockbridge; granddaughters, Jennifer Nicole Gregory of Columbus, Jill Michele (Mark) Lees of Canton, Julie Marie (Brantly) Saye of Alpharetta; brother, John Henry (Kay) Oglesby of Albuquerque, New Mexico; sister-in-law, Tommie Catherine Gosdin of Palmetto; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held October 14 at Stockbridge First United Methodist Church, with Dr. Jay Hodges and Rev. John Purrington officiating. Interment Stockbridge City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Stockbridge First United Methodist Church Bell Tower Fund, 4863 N. Henry Blvd., Stockbridge, Georgia, 30281; or Henry Medical Center Auxiliary, 1133 Eagles Landing Parkway, Stockbridge, Georgia, 30281; or Noah’s Ark Rehabilitation Center, 712 Locust Grove Road, Locust Grove, Georgia, 30248. Joseph Fisher
Joseph "J.J." Fisher, age 87, of Stockbridge, Georgia died October 11, 2005. Mr. Fisher was born
in Henry County, the son of the late Howard and Winnie Walls Fisher. He served his country for 20 years in the U.S. Navy and was employed for 25 years with Lithonia Lighting as a Model Maker. He was a member of Stockbridge First Baptist Church and a member of the Fleet Reserve. He enjoyed country living and country music, and was a loving husband and father. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Steward Fisher; and sister, Sarah Bowen.
He is survived by his wife, Gene Marie; son, Joseph J. Fisher, White Plains, New York; brothers, Turner Fisher of Griffin, Howard Fisher of Hiawassee; sister, Christine Roseberry of Jonesboro; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held October 14 at Stockbridge First Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Murell officiating. Interment Fairview Memorial Gardens. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
Maenelle Strickland
Maenelle Strickland, age 87, of Stockbridge, Georgia died October 15, 2005. She was born
in College Park, the daughter of John Ellis and Nellie Elizabeth Green Mitchell. She was a woman who enjoyed cooking, her family, and traveling. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.P. Strickland; and daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and John Palmer.
She is survived by her daughters, Eileen and Herschel Dock-ery, Patsy Johnson, Joy Strick-land, all of Stockbridge, Kathleen and Jerome Whitehead of Lake City, Brenda and Robert Hargrove of Jackson; sister, Frances Sturgess of McDonough, sisters-in-law, Flora Fuller of Bonifay, Florida, Elsie Mae Adamson of Stockbridge; 16 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held October 17 in the chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors Interment Sherwood Memorial Park. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
Allen Shane McGraw
Allen Shane McGraw, age 43, of Stockbridge, Georgia died September 28, 2005. Mr. McGraw was born
in Atlanta, the son of Tommy Edward and Sheila Arlene Hembree McGraw. He thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors, he was an avid golfer, and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a good athlete and enjoyed all sports. Known affectionately as the prankster; he loved to play jokes. But most importantly he loved his family. He was a loving husband, father, brother and son.
He is survived by his wife Connie; sons, Shane Duncan McGraw, and Chad Allen McGraw, all of Stockbridge; parents, Tommy and Sheila McGraw of Newnan; brother, John Walter McGraw of Newnan; grandmother, Letha McGraw of Riverdale; father and mother-in-law, Harvey and Margaret Farmer of Conyers; two nieces; and three nephews.
Services were held October 1 in the chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors, with Pastor Scott Reece officiating. Interment Fairview Memorial Gardens. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
Jack T. Goss
Jack T. Goss, age 77, of Stockbridge, Georgia died September 28, 2005. Mr. Goss was born
in Blountsville, Alabama, the son of Clyde Lee and Irene Dooley Goss. He had a love for gardening and cooking.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Goss; daughters Jackie and Rick Scott of McDonough, Deborah and Donnie King of Hampton; grandchildren, Shan Bogart, Bobbie Rodriguez, Amanda Durham, Cody King; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Emilee, Molley, Caleb, Christian, Caden; sisters, Rachael Nash, Patsy Walker, Phyllis Porter,

Meredith Mohler Sanderfer Harris
Meredith “Betty” Mohler Sanderfer Harris, age 85, of McDonough, Georgia died October 2, 2005. Mrs. Harris was born
in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Minnette McAlphin Rankin and John Trimble Mohler. She was a devoted member of Calvary Assembly of God in Hampton, and was known for helping people and traveling. She was preceded in death by her husbands, William Gilbert Sanderfer in 1981, and Marvin Talmadge Harris in 2000; and her son, William Gilbert Sanderfer Jr. in 2005.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Jerry Bradley of McDonough; daughter-in-law, Peggy Sanderfer of McDonough; stepchildren, Jeanette French of East Point, Neil and Dorothy Harris of Fayetteville, and Danny and Connie Harris of Pensacola; sisters; Laurene Nunez of McDonough, Mary Elizabeth Owen of Hattiesburg; brothers, Charles Mohler of Brandon, Mississippi, and Richard Mohler of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Kelly, Curt and Danny; five step grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services were held October 5 at Calvary First Assembly of God in Hampton, with Pastor David Watson officiating. Interment Westview Cemetery
in Atlanta. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Horace Edward Thomas
Horace “Buddy” Edward Thomas, age 70, of McDonough, Georgia died October 3, 2005. Mr. Thomas was born
January 21, 1935 in Fulton County, the son of the late Mozell Williams Grindle and Horace Robert Thomas. He served his country in the U.S. Marines for 16 years. He enjoyed being a pastor and serving people, and was the past pastor of Trinity Faith Church. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Vickie Grindle and Joann Cobb.
He is survived by his loving wife, Bobbie C. Thomas of McDonough; children, Cathy and Phil Smith of Canton; stepchildren, Doug and Cindy Fox of Canton, Susan Willis of Kingsland, Tony Thomas of Newnan, and Jay Thomas of Griffin; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services were held October 6, in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Rev. Gilbert Gann, Rev. John Pickleseimer, and Rev. Danny Strong officiating. Interment Hillcrest Cemetery

Bobby Sewell Kellett, Jr.
Bobby Sewell Kellett, Jr., age 46, of Carrollton, Georgia died October 4, 2005. Mr. Kellett was born
February 23, 1959 in Rome, the son of the late Frances Elizabeth Lowry and Bobbell Sewell Kellett, Sr. He worked for Publix in Carrollton, route sales for various companies, and attended North Point Baptist Church. He enjoyed professional wrestling, NASCAR, was a Georgia Bulldogs fan, and enjoyed being a joker.
He is survived by his son, Chad Kellett of McDonough; siblings, Mary Isbell of Columbia, South Carolina, Myra Williams, and Bill Kellett, both of Carrollton; aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Services were held October 6 at Eastview Cemetery
in Rome, with Pastor Rodney A. Agan officiating. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Dwayne L. Brown
Dwayne L. Brown, age 77, of Stockbridge, Georgia, formerly of Sandy Springs, died October 4, 2005. Mr. Brown was the owner of Capital Plumbing Company and DLB Plumbing Company for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Dottie Brown; daughters, Karen Lindsey, Kim and Clay Brunson; sons, Michael Brown and Rodney Brown; grandson Mat-thew Lindsey; granddaughters, Rachel and Catherine Brunson; four sisters; and one brother.
Services were held October 6 in the chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors, with Dr. Jay Hodges officiating. Interment McKee Cemetery
