Wanda Lynn Sauls, age 31, of Locust Grove, Georgia died December 16, 2005. Ms. Sauls was born
February 18, 1974 in Bibb County, the daughter of Carolyn Fay Agsten Sauls and Johnie Eugene Sauls of Locust Grove.
She is survived by her parents; children, Taylor Fay Sauls and Tyler Daniel Sauls of Locust Grove; sisters, Wendy Ann Arellano, and Danielle Marie Sauls both of McDonough; brother, Armin Daniel Sauls of Locust Grove; and one nephew.
Services were held December 20 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Rev. Ron Capes officiating. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Lucille Bernice Booth Smith
Lucille Bernice Booth Smith, age 81, of McDonough, Georgia died December 16, 2005. Mrs. Smith was born
August 13, 1924 in Oconee County, the daughter of the late Bessie Lou Tate and Walker Booth. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church, a devoted loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Melvin E. Smith, Sr. of McDonough; children, Melvin E. Smith, Jr. (Sheryl) of McDonough, Michael Lloyd Smith (Susan) of Barnesville, and Melba Abbott (Jeffrey Bryant) of Locust Grove; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; sisters, Amy Coile of Jefferson, and Frances E. Booth of Athens; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held December 19 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Rev. Dan McKay and Rev. Rick Statham officiating. Interment Haisten/ Eastlawn Memorial Park. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
David Wayne Knight II
David Wayne Knight II, age 24, recently of Laramie, Wyoming died December 17, 2005. David was born
August 13, 1981 in Fulton County. He was a 2000 graduate of Henry County High School. His hobbies were the Henry County High Rodeo, hunting, fishing, and riding dirt bikes. He was a finish carpenter.
He is survived by his wife, Lee Ann Mantooth Knight of Laramie, Wyoming; parents, David Wayne Knight, Sr. and Pamela Cook Knight of Locust Grove; brother, Joshua James Knight; grandparents, Frank and Shirley Knight, Locust Grove; stepgrandmother, Donna Cook; grandmother, Geneva Croft; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Vicki and Randy Mantooth of Locust Grove.
Services were held December 19 at the First Baptist Church in Hampton, with Rev. Buddy Perstrope officiating. John Thomas Brown, Sr.
John Thomas "Tommy" Brown, Sr., age 60, of McDonough, Georgia died December 17, 2005. Mr. Brown was born
August 27, 1945 in Fulton County, the son of the late Richard Shurley Brown. He served his country as a U.S. Navy Seebee during the Vietnam War, was retired after 33 years with Delta Airlines, was a member of St. James the Apostle Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. After retirement, he drove a bus for Henry County Schools, and loved fishing, traveling, woodworking and coaching football.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Teresa Brown; son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Stephanie Brown of McDonough; granddaughters, Brooke and Brittany Brown; mother, Nancy R. Brown of Monroe; sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Bryan Young of Monroe.
A funeral mass was conducted December 20 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Interment Jonesboro City Cemetery. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Heather Lynn Bauerle
Heather Lynn Bauerle, age 25 of McDonough, Georgia died December 18, 2005. Heather was born
June 9, 1980 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by her parents, Theresa and Ed Wilkinson of McDonough; sister and brother-in-law, Ashley and Ray Vicos of McDonough; nieces, Autumn, Chloe, and Olivia Vicos.
Services will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Rev. Ed Wilkinson officiating. Interment Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park. Jeff Hack
Jeff Hack, age 51, of Stockbridge, Georgia died December 18, 2005. Mr. Hack was born
in Flint, Michigan. He was a gentle and loving family man. He was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Gonzales.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Louise Hack; sons, Richard Jeffery Hack, Michael Gregory Hack; and grandson, Jayson Jeffery Hack, all of Stockbridge; parents, Vernon Edward and Regina Dipzinski Hack of New Port Richey, Florida; sisters, Phyllis Jane Wells, Kathy Wilson, Valerie Candelaria; and brother, David Vernon Hack.
Services will be held Thursday, December 22, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors. Audrey Beatrice Buckner Simmons
Audrey Beatrice Buckner Simmons, age 95, of Hampton, Georgia died December 19, 2005. Mrs. Simmons was born
March 11, 1910 in Alabama, the daughter of the late Marsenia Whitley and William Emerson Buckner. She was a member of Hampton First Baptist Church and was retired from Hampton Elementary School where she was a devoted cook.
She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Robert Simmons of Hampton; granddaughter, Tammy and husband Stanley McLemore of Hampton; and great-granddaughter Brandi Barber of Hampton.

Elaine Doste Underwood, age 62, of Locust Grove, Georgia died December 5, 2005. Mrs. Underwood was born
October 10, 1943 in Jackson County, the daughter of the late Melvie Idelle Stepp and Clyde Doster. She was a member of Eagles Landing Baptist Church, a dedicated Christian lady who enjoyed being a caretaker and giving of herself to others through her crafts and services. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Bradford Underwood; and a brother, Gene Doster.
She is survived by her children, Julie and Butch Moore of Locust Grove, John and Lana Underwood of Hampton; grandchildren, Amanda Lee, Katie Moore, John Moore and Julia Underwood; sisters, Margaret Long and Marilyn Kesler; several nieces and nephews.

Don Rutledge
Don Rutledge, age 73, of McDonough, Georgia died December 7, 2005. Mr. Rutledge was born
in Fairburn, the son of the late Theo and Bessie Milam Rutledge. He was a member of the Southern Crescent Baptist Church and a veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed fishing and working at the church.
He is survived by his wife, Anita Rutledge of McDonough; daughters, Wendy Rutledge of McDonough, Kyna (Ken) White of Dalton; Donna Price of Albany; son, Chad Rutledge of Hampton; and two grandchildren.
